AC Milan are better than Roma in history and in most seasons not only in this season. Their matches in Europa League quarter final are predicted to be on side of AC Milan and if Roma won't make big shock, the winner will be AC Milan. It is more logic to pick AC Milan, not Roma, as a winner between Milan and Roma. Roma are not weak and they will fight for another Europa League final match for their club but AC Milan are simply stronger and more experienced.

They are strong enough to fight for a ticket to semi final but I believe even Roma know that they are weaker than AC Milan. De Rossi through his player career with Roma, also knows about strength of AC Milan and how hard to play against this strong opponent. He will need to use his experience as player for Roma against AC Milan in many matches, and guide his players to control Milan strength and figure out ways to beat this strong opponent.

everything will be different when we enter the quarter finals and in that round we will have different favorites to the ones we are talking about now.
I mean, right now we are still talking about Liverpool and Leverkusen being the favorites in the European league but believe me when the quarter finals have passed and all the strong teams have qualified for the semi finals, definitely not only Leverkusen and Liverpool will be the favorites but also other teams like Milan or Roma, if these two teams qualify for the semi finals they will also become favorite teams.
I will not doubt any team from now on because starting in the quarter finals all the teams have high consistency but we have to remember that the European league is full of surprises and last season the favorite team did not get the European league title but instead the team that was not the favorite could win it European eague title.
I think you still remember how Sevilla was a surprising team that won the title last season and this could happen with Milan or Roma.

If discussing the two strongest teams in the Europa League and the two most favorites for the Europa League, Liverpool and Leverkusen would come first. These two teams have been performing consistently since the beginning of the season and have maintained consistent performances till now. With these two teams qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Europa League, Liverpool and Leverkusen will currently be far ahead of the other teams that have qualified in terms of strength and consistent performance. AC Milan is a good team in the Italian league but with the way they are performing it doesn't look like they can do well against Liverpool or Leverkusen in the Europa League. Liverpool were the favorites from the start of the season and they might end the season as favourites.

This season AC Milan can actually be said to be better than Roma and it wouldn't be considered as a miss appropriation because Indeed they have really been good in their performance so far and I must say they have even done much more than Roma have done and the league where they have played this season is really much tougher than that which roma has and Roma  could have not been able to survive it.

If Roma were the team who has participated in the leagues where AC Milan has participated this season, I doubt if they would ha e been able to really get to where they are now because they don't look like they would have been able to take the pressure they would be getting from the leagues especially In champions league, they would have most likely been kicked out much longer than AC Milan did stayed although AC Milan wasn't in a very easy group, they were able to survive and get pass the group stage before they were knocked out at the round of sixteen but I doubt if Roma would ha e been able to get to that point of the champions league.

Roma although has aswell tried on their own path in that they have been able to still maintain an average frame despite all that they have had to face this season from their team , they had been coached by two Coaches this season so far so I think they have tried enough in that they still were able to get this far regardless of the circumstances they have gotten that did surrounded them all this while.

Agree, AC Milan is better because they have a more established squad. Pioli also has managed AC Milan for a long time, he knows well AC Milan squad. He won't get difficulty to determine a proper tactic to use for the next match. Meanwhile De Rossi, he is actually a new coach of AS Roma. He must learn many things about AS Roma, he is still analyzing which tactics is better to apply. De Rossi has more challenges than Stefano Pioli.

However, it is true that we shouldn't underestimate AS Roma although in theory AC Milan is better. AS Roma seems to have many improvements since De Rossi became the coach of AS Roma. It is not impossible if AS Roma can eliminate AC Milan because they have a stronger mentality to go far in Europa League.

Technically, AC Milan are better than Roma, but since Daniele de Rossi arrived on the Roma bench, results and performances have improved dramatically. We will see how both teams perform in the first leg, as they will both want to go as far as possible in the competition, not forgetting that Roma reached the final of the Europa League last year. Clashing two teams from the same country has the advantage that at least one team can go ahead in the competition, but the other is compulsorily eliminated and for the UEFA ranking it could weigh heavily.

 In the Europa League, there's been top contending teams from the start till the current stage of the contest. Even though days back, the playoffs stage was concluded and there we saw few teams earn advancement tickets. Well from the beginning of the tournament, we know that it'll only be the tough teams that'd survive. Also predicting the winner this season would be hard as there are a number of tough teams to pick from.

 The highest we can do is to just analyze these teams based on their overtime performances this season and bringing that in the picture, the highest probable winner would be Leverkusen, then Liverpool and any other team behind. In essence it's safe to say that if the draws are favourable, then Liverpool would battle with Leverkusen in the final game of the tournament.

 Between these two teams, Liverpool have been trying though, they're anticipating the EPL trophy, and as well the Carabao cup too where they weeks ago won Chelsea to secure the trophy.With this in their minds, the next goal will be to keep advancing in the UEL and staying intact in the EPL too.

 For Leverkusen, they've been impactful, currently the top spot in the Bundesliga too and so they've got same goal as Liverpool and therefore if in recent times they've remained unbeaten, then I doubt that there'd be a negative difference now when the tournament and season is almost rounded up. For me, I'll really love to see the heated game between Leverkusen and Liverpool in the UEL soon though and I have a feeling they'd be made to play against themselves.

I also think Roma has got a lot of experience in the Europa league likewise AC Milan and the performance of Roma has experienced a drastic change since Jose Mourinho was replaced, being in a better shape they can go all the way to compete with their opponents but playing against a team in the same league who understands their tactics and their weaknesses it's difficult for them to get an easy win but they can get a good result if they improve in their game play and make good use of their opportunity to score goals when they finally meet. AC Milan is another good team who's playing well but since they failed to catch up with Inter Milan in the league, they will try to also progress in the Europa league so it's now a battle between the teams and rhe winner will be determined at the end of the match.

There is a really good progress for Roma lately. That's a fact. De Rossi has really started to change something in the way this team play. But Milan is a really big obstacle ahead. They are very accustomed to playing against Milan. However they haven't played against them under De Rossi's control yet. I'm wondering if things will change positively.

Because things didn't go well while Mourinho was in charge. They lost both of their games against Milan in the Serie A. 

About Leverkusen maybe you would turn out to be right who knows. It depends on if we see the same performance against Qarabag or not.

Yes, the European League is also the goal of all teams who failed to win tickets to the Champions League last season due to failing to finish in the top 4 of the domestic league standings. So often a team's performance is different when playing in the domestic league and in the European League. One example this season is West Ham who have not been consistent in the Premier League, but they have turned out to be quite consistent in the European League and can advance to the quarter-finals now.

Unfortunately, West Ham must be faced with a battle that will be difficult for them to win in the quarter-finals, namely against Leverkusen, who are also one of the favorites this season in the European League along with Liverpool.

That's true, often teams competing in the European League show different performances or vice versa, because basically they don't only target winning trophies, but tickets to the Champions League too. It seems I have to agree with your opinion. Because we cannot deny that we determine a team's performance not far from our assessment of their performance in their respective domestic leagues. And for example, as you mentioned about Leverkusen and Liverpool who also have good performances in their respective domestic leagues.

But apart from that, in the European League, surprising results often occur. Like last season, Sevilla managed to advance to the Final even though they were in poor performance in Laliga since last season. And last season Arsenal were also in the Europa League but they lost and were unable to go further. In essence, even though we refer to the domestic league to determine which team is the favorite. But to see a real result, sometimes luck plays an important role here too.

Really tough to decides the promising future of these top teams. Predicting these clubs will always stick to winnings, though they've not securely effective but the present odds means something for us. The UEFA Europa League are mainly for the elite teams, precisely these clubs will fight for their spot this season. We know how these teams have grown to be fonder and desperate to win titles. We know team's that will continue to struggle this season and the ones that have become confident enough for winning.

That's not wrong, but it's also not a problem for anyone to see the strength of teams through their respective domestic leagues even though it might not be accurate enough to make an assessment because what you say can also happen in the European League so some people sometimes also can be surprised when there is a different result for a team they don't like. But for a match like Milan vs Roma, I am still a bit short in giving an assessment because both teams are not in bad condition at the moment.

I think we should not forget AC Milan. They also performed very well in the Europa League. I think the final match will be AC Milan vs Liverpool. Initially I didn't include Milan in my favorites list. But their match against Slavia Prague showed that they are very worthy of being one of the finalists. Leverkusen performed very well and I am sure Xabi has a good strategy to beat any team in the Europa League. But AC Milan and Liverpool are difficult opponents. AS Roma has been able to perform well since being with De Rossi. But I think it's still not enough to beat AC Milan.

A tough competition awaits between Liverpool and Leverkusen in the Europa League. If these two teams face each other then it will be a tough contest.

Benfica are still lucky to be stuck in the Europa League this season after their Champions League group stage slump with Salzburg but fortunately for Benfica if their goal difference is better than Salzburg at that time and makes their journey in European competition continue today, I think what you said is indeed quite reasonable,  When Benfica still struggled to win against clubs with weak teams like Ranger and Toulouse in the previous game, of course there was little hope for Benfica to win when faced a pretty good club like Marseille at the moment.

AS Roma development and performance under De Rossi is impressive because things were never been like this under José Mourinho and there were serious chance for them to eliminate from the top six spots into Serie A table, but now they are having good chance for the top four with their progress in Europa League is also impressive because after eliminating Feyenoord and Brighton their confidence level is high, and they can go through for the another final with now their match against AC Milan is surely not easy but still we can expect both teams could be give their best and have fair chance for the having spot into next round.

First leg match is going to be tough with AC Milan is surely also at his best but if AS Roma able to handle them at better point then surely we can expect much better performance from them into second leg which is going to play at Rome with they could be also feel positive and play solid for the progress.
