One of the most exciting matchups in this round seems to be Feyenoord - Roma. The first game is in Netherlands on February 15th. As Roma have changed their manager and brought Daniele De Rossi I really am curious about their journey from now on. Actually Mourinho didn't have any problem in such competitions. He just couldn't meet the expectations in the Serie A.
So, what kind of expectation is it? I meant that mourinho has been bringing roma from the bottom to top. It was also close enough with the 4th position in serie a. There's nothing wrong with him but the party that needs to be blamed must be roma's management.
The club has been performing so poorly and this is also the main reason mourinho kicked out from the club. Feyenoord was not a team that can be underestimated. The club can also perform better than roma.
The transition that is still happening in roma makes the club played so poorly and this is the main problem. Roma may not perform better than when mourinho was still there.

But still it is important for De Rossi to be competitive in the Europa League now. Because joining the Champions League must be Roma's main target to achieve. They should be aiming the title here and finishing the Serie A in top four area both.
He has not yet tested nor have good track record in european competition. This is why people shall not put very high expectation for him. He is just a few weeks in roma. Rossi may be failed to bring roma to the next stage. It will be a disaster for the club caused by it really needs money from playing in europa league. Even though the money was not that big but it's still important for the club. Im feeling roma will be failed to go to the next stage of europa league.

If the injury is not a serious one then there is every possibility of him recovering and still participating in the AFCON if they are not yet eliminated but i have come to understand that no matter how little the injury, the player must be out for a week or two and if Salah should be out for up-to two weeks then there would be no AFCON to participate in anymore as he would have missed out.

If the injury is not a serious one it will be a good news for Liverpool and the fans because Salah would have.m almost recovered and would be available for selection. Salah is an important player for Liverpool but despite his absence they are still scoring goals and winning matches but his presence would be crucial in the Europa League.

I read in an article that said Salah would be out for four weeks. Salah will miss several important matches with Liverpool. And I think Salah will be able to appear in the Europa League if his injury recovery goes as expected.
Liverpool finished the group stage of the UEFA Europa League as the winner of their group and that's why they will not be playing in the knockout round play-offs that'll be played on 15th and 22nd February. They play in the competition again in during the round of 16 that'll be played in 7th and 14th March which will be five weeks from now.
According to reports concerning Mohammed Salah's injury, he's expected to return to full fitness in three or four weeks time so I think it's safe to say that Salah will be fit to play for Liverpool when they they play in the UEFA Europa League competition again this season

It’s enough to look at last season not to believe but to know for sure, here’s who could have been in the final of last season: Arsenal, Barcelona, United, Juventus, Bayer, and in the end Roma played there (ok, although they obviously weren’t the favorites) and Sevilla ( LOL). So those who think that the favorites will win all the time (especially in minor tournaments) are of course mistaken. If you place bets in such tournaments, then live and probably against the favorites in order to catch a big odds.
I will not side with anyone here because the opinions of @KTChampions and @Republikcoin.com are both reasonable.
Indeed, surprises like last season could happen again this season considering that this is a football bet with millions of surprises in several matches considering that surprisingly Sevilla became the UEL title holders last season and no one would have thought that Sevilla could become the title holders because everyone would be more choose to bet all in for Barcelona or Arsenal.
There's nothing wrong if we try to bet on this match but keep it with a small amount to prove whether last season's surprise can be repeated this season because Sevilla couldn't qualify for the playoffs and currently the favorites are Leverkusen and Liverpool and maybe this candidate that won't change, but it could be Milan who will provide the next surprise. Grin

If we take the season before this, there will also be an interesting pair in the final: Eintracht - Rangers. Although clubs such as Napoli, Barcelona, Dortmund, Lazio, etc. could be there. Now compare the randomness in the Europa League with the stability in the Champions League where not only the semi-finals, but even the quarter-finals consist of almost the same clubs every year. This is not an accident, but a pattern, so in the Europa League, betting on favorites does not compensate for the risk, I think here you need to bet on underdogs, either with a bonus or live to maximize your odds.

I think going with the underdogs can make sense because the teams that usually play in the Champions League seem to not be taking the competition seriously eough. Last season I was so sure that Arsenal would probably win the Europa League, but no. Teams like Barcelona got eliminated as well despite being such a big name, but Sevilla took the competition as serious as they could. Nobody expected them to eliminate all these favorite teams like Manchester United, but they were superior to all of them. It wasn't luck, it was serious effort by Sevilla.
From some of these discussions I have come to conclusion that matches at UEL are sometimes not priority for big clubs and could be a priority for small club for the reason that big clubs prioritize their position to remain safe in  points table of each domestic league.
So betting on  a underdogs profitable choice because from the conclusion we are talking about, this really reasonable reason.
But the problem this time is that Sevilla did not qualify for the playoffs and this our difficulty in finding which club really has the goal of prioritizing  the UEL title even though the two big clubs that I mentioned previously are currently  candidates for the title, but I am afraid there will be another surprise this season.

I don't think the injury Salah is suffering right now is a serious one. I hope to see him recovering in a short time however I assume he wouldn't return from AFCON early as long as Egypt aren't eliminated. No matter what he can still be back until their Europa League matchup is decided. In the end Liverpool finished their group as the leader so they won't play in the current round.

But if Salah's injury is a really serious one unlike my expectation then a really tough time period is waiting for Liverpool in every tournament they are playing in. Because Salah is really the most important player in the attacking line at the moment.  Sad

Hearing the latest news, Mohammed Salah suffered an injury that was worse than initially thought. Even though many hoped that the injury suffered by Mohammed Salah would not be too serious so that Mohammed Salah could immediately return to Liverpool and return to strengthening the Premier League that club, but because of the injury he suffered Moh Salah is quite serious so he could be absent for quite a long time and could be almost 4 weeks, which means Salah could miss Liverpool's match in the Europa League which will be held in February.

But I hope that these rumors are not really valid and Mohammed Salah can return earlier than expected because Salah's role in the Europa League is very important, even though Liverpool is still doing well without Salah, Liverpool and Jurgen Kloop still really need a role Salah, unless Jurgen Kloop recruits a player in this transfer market so that he can be used as a replacement option for Moh Salah, Liverpool can recruit Mbappe from PSG if Liverpool is willing to spend a large amount of money to recruit the French player.

I read the rumors in here

Yes, even though your perception is that the team is not too serious in the European league, I don't think that's the case because every team is definitely focused on every competition they participate in.
However, some teams often think that the opponents they face are weak teams and that is what makes them eliminated early.
This season there are several big name teams who have to go through the play-off round and I think they will be focused enough to play with ambition to get through to the next round.

The European League always has lots of surprises because in the European League there are many teams that are not favored capable beat the big teams. However, when betting, all options have been considered and choosing a non-favored team can sometimes give us luck, but with a smaller ratio.

I think I slightly disagree. In general you are right and I think it should be safe to assume that they take these competitions seriously. But if a team is used to playing in the Champions League and is then playing against some no names in the Europa League, I believe that it makes a huge difference mentally for these teams. I think it is only normal when a team can't be as motivated when the opponent is called Saint Gilloise instead of Real Madrid. Whatever the players want to do about it, I think there is naturally more excitement and motivation when a club plays against the best teams in the world. That's why it isn't all that easy for a club like Barcelona to play in the Europa League.

The motivation got by the small club to beat the big club will not help a lot. The big is still having the biggest chance to beat the small club. I think that theorically, the big club is still having the biggesr chance to win the game even though the small club gets more motivation to face the big club.
I think that it will be changing the situation a lot. The probability for a club that has been motivated to win the game wills till small. There was no a lot of strong clubs participated in this competition. The best clubs are always competing for the UCL.
europa league was a competition for clubs which have been performing even worst compared to the best clubs which was participated in the UCL. This year is far different compared to the last year coz we have new names to be our favorite club.
I was favoring liverpool among all of clubs participated in europa league caused by i have been seeing how this team has been fully motivated to get UCL spot through winning the trophy.

Mourinho's value for Roma was that he knows how to play in Euro cups, maybe he did not achieve good results in Serie A, but for two seasons in a row Roma was in the finals of the CL and EL, if this is not a priority for the club, if they strive to the Champions League, then they will look for opportunities to achieve this.
I really doubt that De Rossi is able to somehow strengthen the team or reach the Champions League zone in Serie A. And the same applies to the team’s participation in the EL playoffs, without Mourinho, you shouldn’t expect any result from Roma.
It's common knowledge that Mourinho has pedigree. This success in continental competitions should indeed be considered a significant asset for any club with aspirations to compete at the highest level in Europe. It's Roma's loss to part way with Mourinho while they are thriving in Europa League. De Rossi is just a brandnew coach whose ability to strengthen the team and secure a Champions League spot in Serie A is normally doubtful.

The lost of Mourinho could have an impact on Roma's performance, especially in European competitions. This viewpoint underscores the importance of experienced management in navigating the challenges of elite-level football. While De Rossi might face challenges in stepping into a managerial role, it's also worth noting that individuals can surprise and excel in new roles. Mourinho's departure does leave a void, but it also presents an opportunity for new leadership to emerge.

Yet clubs have to make decisions. Roma wasn't playing well and this isn't a problem that occurred out of a sudden. Roma has been underperforming for quite some time now in my opinion and if they wanted to change something about it, then this was the right timing. At least the new coach has a fair chance to do something about the situation and I think that is the reason why they took action now. Whether Mourinho won a lot of titles or not in the past is irrelevant. I doubt that anyone would say the decision was wrong. Nobody knows how this will play out for them, but could it have gotten any worse than that? I don't think so.

Without moh salah the performance of the Liverpool attacking line is still good. both daren nunez, diego jota, oliver gackpo luiz diaz are productive in scoring goals.
last match in the primiere league liverpool won 4-0 over the host bournomeuth. if the injury is not severe in the final of the europa league can definitely play. before the final phase of the europa league liverpool opponents are likely to be weak teams so without moh salah will not be a significant obstacle

That has been said from the beginning by the medical and management of Egypt because it is said that he will only miss 2 matches (the last match and the match in the last 16 if Egypt qualifies) but indeed for now the news that is happening is actually too exaggerated because it thinks Salah's injury is a situation that will be a barrier to Liverpool even though with the statement given by Egypt we should realize that the injury is not too serious for Salah.

I think in this case even before he went to Liverpool he would have recovered if he did not force himself to play harder in the AFCON because seeing his condition now he actually only needs rest without forcing anything but for a country sometimes a player can force himself.
This is what must be considered because even minor injuries can turn fatal if you continue to force yourself to play.

Agree. We don't need to expect too much for the good result of AS Roma. When AS Roma could be the finalist last season, it was under Mourinho management and AS Roma was in a good condition. It is very different with the current condition, AS Roma is no longer under Mourinho management and AS Roma squad looks not convincing to go far in Europa League. I am even not sure really sure that AS Roma can qualify for the next round. In this play-offs round, AS Roma will play against Feyenoord, it is not a weak team. Feyenoord is a strong team, they are in the second place of Eredivisie standings. Meanwhile AS Roma is in 8th place of Serie A table, AS Roma is experiencing a bad season. Moreover, AS Roma is managed by a new coach with no experience in international competitions like Europa League. Considering this matter, not only you, I also doubt that AS Roma will perform well in this Europa League competition.

But still it is important for De Rossi to be competitive in the Europa League now. Because joining the Champions League must be Roma's main target to achieve. They should be aiming the title here and finishing the Serie A in top four area both.

Feyenoord was playing really good but in the last time they droped a b it their level, so i dont know who is the favorite in that key, when i see Feyenoord agains Atletico Madrid for Champions League phase group they played quite well, but the thing is against Atletico is difficult to measure because Atleticos ways to play is strange in some games.

I would rather than pick feyenoord instead of as roma. It's caused by asroma has not managed by the special one who knew how to beat feyenoord. Feyenoord never had a good head to head against the club being managed by him. This can be also the best answer to say that if feyenoord probably becomes a toughest competitor for as roma there will be a tough match to happen between roma and feyenoord. Roma will be putting in immense effort to beat their opponent, and it is important not to underestimate Feyenoord, especially considering that they have just dropped from the UEFA Champions League.

Rossi has become a new appointment for as roma and this makes me don't trust roma. Rossi lack of experience in the european competition and this is probably his first time to manage a club that played in europa league.
The pressure is not comparable to the when he was still managing the mediocre club. Im only wondering what strategy has already prepared by him.

It's caused by that can be good or bad for the club. Let's see how he tries to manage the performance from the club.

If I refer to Fabrizio Romano's report which stated that Moh Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, stated that Salah's injury was more serious than previously thought. he will be out for 21-28 days. His best chance of participating in AFCON at this time is to undergo incentive rehabilitation in England and join the team as soon as he is fit, this news was reported by Romano on January 23 yesterday. To be honest, I don't follow developments regarding the AFCON competition. but apparently, considering the long absence of Moh Salah. It is very likely that he will not return to AFCON, either because the national team is eliminated or the competition has ended.

Once again I will say, I really don't follow the development of the Africa Cup of Nations at all. So, I don't know all the related information. What is certain is that Moh Salah must focus on recovering from his injury and returning to the team fit again. the problem is, the Premier League competition will be waiting for him and Liverpool will have quite tough matches. With Moh Salah's absence, it could have an impact on Liverpool in a crucial match. automatically, he had to focus on recovering from his injury. As for the Europa League, Liverpool doesn't need to worry. because after all, the round of 16 of this competition has not yet been scheduled. that's natural, because the playoffs haven't been held yet. So, Liverpool can focus on other competitions, especially the Premier League and Jurgen Klopp really needs Salah's presence as one of the core players in his squad.

Well Mo’s injury which we thought was just minor and would keep him out for probably 2 weeks or less has now been reported to be serious. He’ll be out for about 4-5 weeks and this means a whole lot maybe not for his country side because they’ll probably be eliminated, it means a whole lot for Liverpool cause they are competing very well for the EPL against City and would all their star players to help them with the challenge ahead.

Yes, Liverpool because now the EPL title race is about to get so fierce with top teams back on track amd Liverpool having some crucial matches. I think Jurgen kloop,  in as much as he’ll want to try to build a team not dependent on Mo, he must admit the team will miss him on some occasion. I think Mo will be try to get fit on time so as to help the team in their title challenge, because it obviously might be his last for he club if he’s to depart Anfield by summer.

Sad

Good prediction and indeed Galatasaray, Roma, Milan, Benfica, Marseille, Sporting, Braga, Lens are team that are strong enough to win this play-off round so they can have big chance of advancing to the round of 16.
~

There is nothing difficult in assuming that the favorites will win  Wink But I expect that in at least 2-3 pairs a surprise awaits us, after all, this is the Europa League and the playoff round where the underdogs are more motivated than the favorites.
Therefore, I will not bet money here (especially in the first games) and I do not advise anyone to add the outcomes of these games to multi-bets.
I agree with you and it seems that surprises will definitely arise in this play-off match, just like Sevilla where no one can think that Sevilla will be the most successful tick while they in La Liga have never played very well.
Even this season, Sevilla is in the danger zone of being relegated from La Liga and of course every title they win like last season is quite big surprise.
In this play-off match, it is quite interesting to be able to bet because there is favorite team that is truly the favorite, but I also have the same assumption as you not to bet money.
It much more interesting and more fun when you are actually in the last 16 match are going to bet on the European League, but for those who are going to bet, I think the main choice is the team that is the favorite as the main betting option.

There are two team that I really like in this play-off match, namely Galatasaray and Milan, they might be able to win more easily.
