One of the most exciting matchups in this round seems to be Feyenoord - Roma. The first game is in Netherlands on February 15th. As Roma have changed their manager and brought Daniele De Rossi I really am curious about their journey from now on. Actually Mourinho didn't have any problem in such competitions. He just couldn't meet the expectations in the Serie A.

But still it is important for De Rossi to be competitive in the Europa League now. Because joining the Champions League must be Roma's main target to achieve. They should be aiming the title here and finishing the Serie A in top four area both.

I read in an article that said Salah would be out for four weeks. Salah will miss several important matches with Liverpool. And I think Salah will be able to appear in the Europa League if his injury recovery goes as expected.

I think going with the underdogs can make sense because the teams that usually play in the Champions League seem to not be taking the competition seriously eough. I think I slightly disagree. In general you are right and I think it should be safe to assume that they take these competitions seriously. But if a team is used to playing in the Champions League and is then playing against some no names in the Europa League, I believe that it makes a huge difference mentally for these teams. I think it is only normal when a team can't be as motivated when the opponent is called Saint Gilloise instead of Real Madrid. Whatever the players want to do about it, I think there is naturally more excitement and motivation when a club plays against the best teams in the world. That's why it isn't all that easy for a club like Barcelona to play in the Europa League.

It's common knowledge that Mourinho has pedigree. This success in continental competitions should indeed be considered a significant asset for any club with aspirations to compete at the highest level in Europe. It's Roma's loss to part way with Mourinho while they are thriving in Europa League. De Rossi is just a brandnew coach whose ability to strengthen the team and secure a Champions League spot in Serie A is normally doubtful.

Mourinho's value for Roma was that he knows how to play in Euro cups, maybe he did not achieve good results in Serie A, but for two seasons in a row Roma was in the finals of the CL and EL, if this is not a priority for the club, if they strive to the Champions League, then they will look for opportunities to achieve this.
I really doubt that De Rossi is able to somehow strengthen the team or reach the Champions League zone in Serie A. And the same applies to the team’s participation in the EL playoffs, without Mourinho, you shouldn’t expect any result from Roma.

Yes, even though your perception is that the team is not too serious in the European league, I don't think that's the case because every team is definitely focused on every competition they participate in.
However, some teams often think that the opponents they face are weak teams and that is what makes them eliminated early.
This season there are several big name teams who have to go through the play-off round and I think they will be focused enough to play with ambition to get through to the next round.

The European League always has lots of surprises because in the European League there are many teams that are not favored capable beat the big teams. However, when betting, all options have been considered and choosing a non-favored team can sometimes give us luck, but with a smaller ratio.

I don't think the injury Salah is suffering right now is a serious one. I hope to see him recovering in a short time however I assume he wouldn't return from AFCON early as long as Egypt aren't eliminated. No matter what he can still be back until their Europa League matchup is decided. In the end Liverpool finished their group as the leader so they won't play in the current round.

But if Salah's injury is a really serious one unlike my expectation then a really tough time period is waiting for Liverpool in every tournament they are playing in. Because Salah is really the most important player in the attacking line at the moment.

Indeed, surprises like last season could happen again this season considering that this is a football bet with millions of surprises in several matches considering that surprisingly Sevilla became the UEL title holders last season and no one would have thought that Sevilla could become the title holders because everyone would be more choose to bet all in for Barcelona or Arsenal.
There's nothing wrong if we try to bet on this match but keep it with a small amount to prove whether last season's surprise can be repeated this season because Sevilla couldn't qualify for the playoffs and currently the favorites are Leverkusen and Liverpool and maybe this candidate that won't change, but it could be Milan who will provide the next surprise.

Agree. We don't need to expect too much for the good result of AS Roma. When AS Roma could be the finalist last season, it was under Mourinho management and AS Roma was in a good condition. It is very different with the current condition, AS Roma is no longer under Mourinho management and AS Roma squad looks not convincing to go far in Europa League. I am even not sure really sure that AS Roma can qualify for the next round. In this play-offs round, AS Roma will play against Feyenoord, it is not a weak team. Feyenoord was playing really good but in the last time they droped a b it their level, so i dont know who is the favorite in that key, when i see Feyenoord agains Atletico Madrid for Champions League phase group they played quite well, but the thing is against Atletico is difficult to measure because Atleticos ways to play is strange in some games.

There is nothing difficult in assuming that the favorites will win  But I expect that in at least 2-3 pairs a surprise awaits us, after all, this is the Europa League and the playoff round where the underdogs are more motivated than the favorites.
Therefore, I will not bet money here (especially in the first games) and I do not advise anyone to add the outcomes of these games to multi-bets.
