I guess you meant Salah's injury would make Liverpool have difficulties rather than being the favourite in those competitions. Besides they aren't competing in the Champions League, it is the Europa League.  

Without Salah Liverpool are much more vulnerable especially in critical and big matches. They looked strong against Bournemouth but they haven't faced a real challenge without him yet. There are tough Premier League matches to come soon and there isn't a long time left for the Europa League to continue from where it left too.

There is nothing difficult in assuming that the favorites will win  But I expect that in at least 2-3 pairs a surprise awaits us, after all, this is the Europa League and the playoff round where the underdogs are more motivated than the favorites.

For this play off games, I think AC Milan is very lucky as they have a relatively weak team to contend. Let's see how Roma plays their match, especially when playing the match against Inter Milan. for other teams, the probability you predict is quite greater than the opposing team. well, even so, who knows, the team that is not the favorite could overthrow the team that is more superior.
