This season UEFA Europa league is something no one would want to miss because most of the teams like you have just said now are the top dogs of the competition and I believe Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen are going to make the competition really competitive. For me it's strange seeing the likes of two teams topping their league play out in the Europa league which comes second in European football competition after the champions league and I also think the champion might come from these two teams although there are still lots of teams to watch out for .
Europa League this season seems different because it has different favorite which is Liverpool. I cant remember the last time top teams being favorite in Europa League, because it used to be Sevilla, LoL. The presence of such high-profile teams does make this edition particularly intriguing, and their participation elevates the overall competitiveness. This adds to the prestige of the tournament. The fact that two league-topping teams are part of the Europa League speaks volumes about the strength and depth of European football.

While Liverpool, Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan are strong contenders, the unpredictability of football means that several other teams will also pose significant challenges. The competition is filled with talented and ambitious squads that makes it difficult to predict the ultimate winner. As the tournament unfolds, football fans can look forward to thrilling matches and potential upsets, keeping the Europa League just as captivating as its more prestigious counterpart, the UEFA Champions League.

Last season Liverpool's performance was not good at all but this season they are able to show good performance so far.  Last season Manchester City ended the season by winning the title and at the beginning of the season Manchester City seemed to be more favorites to win the Premier League title but with Liverpool's current performance Liverpool is undoubtedly a big name to win the English Premier League. The teams in the English Premier League are stronger than all the teams in the European League, so if Liverpool can win the English Premier League title, they can definitely win the European League title. To reach the final of the Europa League, Liverpool must play according to the rules in the next matches, but Liverpool can win the Europa League title for the first time.
Contrarily Liverpool did started off on a relatively fair note last season but then towards the end of the season they recorded some set backs that got them missing an opportunity at the trophy and probably qualifying for the champions league, they rather made it to the Europa which wasn't worse after all.

This season has been a really different season for Liverpool when compared to their performance last season, they have so much of brilliance in their performance this seems such that they have turn out to be one of the favourite to winning both the premier and Europa league titles by the end of this season. All Liverpool may need at This time is the ability to continually maintain their consistency and staying productive from every of their next games they play.
They qualified for the European League after not performing very well last season. Liverpool are one of the best teams in the Premier League so it surprised me that they didn't qualify for the Champions League last season. Although they failed to qualify for the Champions League last season, they will definitely qualify for the Champions League this season, their performance says so. Several players left their club last season but on the contrary they did not buy any new players so the improvement in performance with the same team is really surprising. I would say that their club had better quality players last season than they have this season and their club was stronger last season but they are doing much better this season with a slightly weaker team than last season.

I agree that they should have kept Emery if they can, but at the same time he got an offer from Villa and right now he is second place in premier league. Nobody in the world would have expected Aston Villa to be second place in the premier league after 20+ games played, which means that the dude is doing amazing and should probably considered one of the best managers of our era, or at least current era, and that is why I am expecting him and Xabi to be head of some huge giant clubs in the future.

Villareal couldn't hold a manager like that, it just wasn't possible, he did all he could for the team and team should have taken advantage of that situation, financially, and have a long term plan. Turns out, they had none, the moment he left, they started to be bad again.
I think Uni Emery sensed this problem, and maybe that's why he left the team because he is a great manager with so many histories in the Europa League. Emery wanted Premier League experience, and he was given a good offer, which is why he left.

Uni Emery is now one of the best managers in the Premier League this season; he has taken Aston Villa to another level, as they are now second in the Premier League table ahead of Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, and even Chelsea. Since his first Premier League coaching experience at Arsenal, I knew that he was a good coach with potential, but he was not given enough time to showcase his ability as a coach. That was why he couldn't bring Arsenal to the limelight then, but his return has proved him worthy of managing Arsenal because he could have won the Premier League last season if he had been the Arsenal manager last season.

Villarreal is doing shit in LaLiga and good in Europa LEague like the guy above me said, it reminds me about the Sevilla last year, who was a total mess in local tournament but ended up winning the Europa League, in the case of Sevilla they start bad in LaLiga and ended up in good shap, but is an equal case with this of Villarreal, but i dont see Villarreal winning anything.
Since Emery left Villarreal their situation has changed slightly but it is not impossible for them to focus more on the Europa League now rather than looking at La Liga.

Not that La Liga is not very important in this case but if you look at their current condition it must be difficult to compete in the race for the Europa League or Champions League because they are currently still scattered in the middle standings so surely their priority will be in the Europa League and it was seen when Villarreal performed quite well in the Europa League group phase.

You said something right, friend, that UEL is not like CL which is easy to predict because it is occupied by big clubs and popular players which makes it easier for us to predict the final result.
But in the UEL it is very difficult because usually there are many clubs that are a little inconsistent in the domestic league points table but surprisingly can win the title in the UEL as you said and maybe right now the only ones who look strong are Leverkusen and Liverpool but just look and see there will definitely be surprises that will happen and I really believe that one of the strongest popular clubs in UEL will experience problems and the club's performance will decline.
I think having strong clubs like Liverpool and Leverkusen in the UEL will make every match interesting to watch. Liverpool is the current leader of the English league standings as well as Leverkusen who are unbeaten in the Bundesliga. Seeing these two teams compete with several teams that are not favored will make each match very interesting to watch. For me, seeing a team that is not seeded is able to at least provide resistance is something interesting, because they all play in UEL. This is the same as when you see big teams competing against each other in the UCL.

it is not that I am already thinking about a Villareal playing in the Segunda division, but I think if they have the wrong focus (which they don't because it makes no sense), clubs can be wrong and find themselves in a situation that they did never anticipate.

Sevilla is an exception because they made something happen that usually doesn't happen. But thinking that this is how it goes for any club playing against the relegation zone doesn't go anywhere. La Liga is their primary business. Europa League is the extra they still have to play for.

Sevilla not in form but they're trying, we should also look at other clubs that are not doing well this season. Sevilla new coach, Enrique Sánchez Flores is not considered a promising coach but he's doing his best to make Sevilla to stand back to their kneels once more, it's not an easy run for the new coach but he will try his best. Sevilla have dropped in form and they're close to the relegation zone this season, they've suffered alot from matches and the board will no longer take things easy other than going all in for the good significant positions

In this case im just hoping for a surprise return for the club that isn't too unexpected.
In the previous 2 seasons the Europa League was full of unexpected surprises where in the last 2 seasons there were Napoli and Barcelona who were predicted to be champions but the trophy was in the hands of Frankfurt and last season of course we remember Sevilla were very underdogs because of their poor performance in La Liga but actually made a breakthrough by winning the Europa League trophy with a struggle that deserves appreciation.
Currently there are several clubs that are definitely the favorites and of course Liverpool and Leverkusen are the club that have a greater probability in this competition now its just that with 2 surprises that occurred in previous seasons i expect it to happen again this season.

Liverpool will definitely be favored with their strength which is not really suitable to be in the Europa League because the difference in the quality of the players is very different and Leverkusen is still with the Xabi magic that does not end but there could be some things that could surprise and I expect such things from some unexpected clubs later.
The surprise isn’t always missing in European matches; this competition holds a lot of fun and big teams could be hit by smaller teams and this can be seen in surprises of last 2 seasons and last season. Currently we’ve got Leverkusen and Liverpool as favorites of this competition but they could be surprised with underdogs like Roma or AC Milan.

Liverpool seem better favorite because of their vast experience and Leverkusen because of their current form which they remain unbeaten in over 4 months of play. Well, both teams should take caution as this is Europe and every team is determined to fight for the trophy and are ready to put up a challenge, the thing is that so far they remain consistent in the competition they'll both remain favorites to win the league. However the best team amongst both would win the league.

The only way to see Galatasaray winning the title would be by the elimination of Liverpool and Leverkusen both in the tournament before facing Galatasaray. Meanwhile Galatasaray would need to be consistent also of course.

But I'm probably just dreaming because I don't feel like Galatasaray would perform very well in each round. I say each round because I'm considering them as they would get past Sparta Prague without big issues. If they have big issues even with eliminating Sparta Prague then there is no hope for Galatasaray at all in the Europa League for later rounds truthfully.  Sad

I think almost all of us think the same thing Galatasaray must get rid of Leverkusen and Liverpool if they want to become champions but here I consider Galatasaray as an underdog team which can surprise any team, Mauro Icardi can be relied upon in this situation this player is one of the productive strikers in the Champions League by scoring 5 goals and now Mauro Icardi plays at a different level so it can still be relied on. Anyway, don't underestimate Galatasaray especially if Mauro Icardi is in the line up no matter whether his opponent Liverpool or Leverkusen.

Icardi is the most crucial player for Galatasaray indeed. Because he is literally their source of goals this season.  Smiley  In his absence their attacking side gets much weaker than before. Because players like Zaha and Kerem can't be as efficient as Icardi unfortunately. By the way I had big expectations from Zaha but his general performance so far isn't that good. There are even speculations about him to go back to the Premier League soon.

If we come back to the Icardi topic he is having an injury now and Galatasaray fans are hoping to see him back soon. Because they need him in the Europa League much more as they can still have things under control in the Turkish league.

I had a look at the table because I wasn't fully aware of how it is looking for Villareal currently. I now saw that they are literally fighting against getting into the relegation zone. Now I read your post and you say that they are focusing more on the Europa League because they are caught in the middle of the La Liga table. No, shit is hitting the fan for them dude! There is no focus on the Europa League because they first and foremost have to make sure that they are not going to end up playing in Segunda Division next season. LoL, "they are currently still scattered in the middle standings". I would never want you to be the coach of a serious soccer club, it would end in a serious mess. Cheesy

I don't think Villarreal will have problems in La Liga. Yes, they don't have many points, but their position in the standings is not critical and they will have to try very hard to get into the relegation zone. Another talking point could be that Villarreal had an easy group in the Europa League, that's why they were able to take the first place. But I am sure that they will have big difficulties further on.

it is not that I am already thinking about a Villareal playing in the Segunda division, but I think if they have the wrong focus (which they don't because it makes no sense), clubs can be wrong and find themselves in a situation that they did never anticipate.

If you think the Champions League is easier to predict, then please bet big money on the team that wins the title this season. Do you dare to do it, because you said that predicting the trophy-winning team in the Champions League is easy. Because after all, for me there is nothing easy at all to predict exact results and it will only be correct if you have a good luck factor. After all, if you believe the Europa League has lots of surprises, then please consider mediocre teams to win the Europa League trophy this season. After all, previous seasons in the Europa League did not have teams that had high consistency as happened at this moment regarding Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen, so surprises occurred in previous seasons in the Europa League. But for this season, I think it is not right if we expect a surprise from the dark horse teams.

As a team with a big history, Liverpool has also won the European League title in the past. It's just that Liverpool have failed to win it in many seasons because Liverpool tend to often qualify for the Champions League. This season Liverpool have the opportunity to win the Europa League title, of course if they manage to beat whoever is the challenger.

Liverpool's performance this season has improved compared to last season, but that does not make Liverpool the only team that has the potential to win the title. In the Premier League, Liverpool had to try hard to thwart the efforts of Arsenal, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Manchester City, so I wouldn't say the title was easy for Liverpool this season.

Yeah, Villarreal are not doing well in the La Liga they are performing, but I don’t know if they will do the same thing Sevilla did last season because, with all indication, Villarreal are not even up to tenth in the sport; they are still in the number 13 in the standings, which makes me think they are in danger zone with this result. I don’t think they will win. Or even getting to the top in their following matches. Although everything can change, we know that there is a way a team will perform in a competition that will make people believe that they will do better, which is what you don’t see in them in the La Liga.

However, La Liga is not the same as the Europa League, and it often happens to clubs. You can see a club doing well in another competition while performing poorly in another place. Villarreal are at the top of their group, so I hope they should keep on doing that and also start doing well in the La Liga.

Their current position is in the standings while La Liga is ranked 13th, in my opinion they will not be able to get into the top 4 positions considering that there is a long distance between them in terms of points to be able to catch up.

Exactly. A club that is 13th in the standing to get back to the top 4 is something very hard, and I think it will be very hard for Villarreal to do it because other clubs are doing better than Villarreal, and these clubs are already at the top of the standings, and those clubs cannot be defeated by Villarreal, so you can see that they won’t be able to make it to the top 4. I can only hope for them to make it to the top again, but not the top 4. That is what will happen, in my opinion. Villarreal should just face the Europa League, where they are performing well, so that they can make it and go for the Champions League, but in the case of La Liga, I think they should just manage that rank. If they cannot move to the top again, they should not go lower.

I highly doubt that a team at Liverpools level would have to pick one or the other. They are capable of putting all their effort into both premier league and europa together. That doesn't mean that they will win both, it doesn't even mean that they will win anything, they can lose both but that also doesn't mean that they have to pick just one of them and focus on that. They could very well just play both of them and that should be the most important part.

I believe that they are going to end up with something much more important, and that usually states that they are going to try to get them both along with fa cup, that would be a treble as well, sure not UCL but still it's a treble and would make the fans all the more happy with the result.

I wonder if they will be able to win this considering the tight schedules they are having to go through right now. I think winning the treble is impossible if they don't sign any new players this season. Their main midfielders are already injured. Thiago and Mac Aliister are their main midfielders. Thiago has become old and he can't perform as much as surely is injury prone.

Surely they need to recruit more midfielders in this winter season if they want to win the treble. Any team needs the squad depth to keep the squad going and Liverpool lacks that in midfield. It may seem there is no pressure now but when the Europa League matches start, things will get very hard for them.

Liverpool for sure will favor fighting for the Premier League rather than giving it all in the Europa League which is still a great European competition but not of the level of Champions League. If they were in Champions maybe they would try to fight the hardest in both fronts but seeing that they are in Europa League they will be trying to fight much harder for the Premier League title which is more loved by their fans than Europa League.I agree though that Liverpool is the strongest contender not only to the Premier League but also to the Europa League competition.

In this particular competition, I have never doubted him since I watched how he dealt with Manchester United and also with Liverpool.
Liverpool he won while he was manager of  Sevilla and Manchester United he won on penalties while he was manager for Villarreal football club.
They're not in a good position and place right now. 13 position? I can remember him using Villarreal to knock out Bayern Munich from the Champions League also, he's that good just like he's done with Aston Villa.

Since he's not in this Competition, I'll be rooting for either of Xabi Alonso,  Gennaro Gattuso and lastly Jose Mourinho to win the trophy. Liverpool are also big European giants alongside AC Milan. Anything can happen.

Europa league is far hard to be predicted compared to the UCL. We do know that if UCL has been dominated by the strongest in european continent but europa league was sometimes giving us surprise like when sevilla won europa league again last season.
None has ever predicted that if sevilla could do that through dramatic ways. So, im also valuing europa league so high. This means that if this competition is worthy enough to be watched caused by there will always be many surprises to come.

I think every team has different motivations in La Liga or Europa League matches, and Villarreal is no different at the moment.
I see that Villarreal cannot maintain consistent performance in La Liga so that they are far behind in points and have to be in 13th position in the La Liga standings, but I don't think that can be a benchmark or benchmark for their performance in the Europa League.
Villarreal is a top La Liga team that has a high mentality, however, they should not be underestimated in the race for the Europa League title this season.
Their current position is in the standings while La Liga is ranked 13th, in my opinion they will not be able to get into the top 4 positions considering that there is a long distance between them in terms of points to be able to catch up. Maybe now they will take more advantage of the Europa League, because if they succeed in becoming champions here they will be able to get a place in the Champions League, like Sevilla did. However, the problem is that there are also very tough competitors here, namely Leverkusen. They are an undefeated club to date, that is an extraordinary record, so it is possible that Villareal cannot make that happen, although it is not impossible as long as they are still in the Europa League. To be relegated in La Liga, I think they are still quite safe now, but they can't relax, because the threat is still there, they have to take it seriously.

Villarreal's performance in the la Liga this season isn't such that will make you possibly term them a top team in the La Liga because if we are to list top five teams I doubt if they will be amongst them this season so I don't see any point in categorizing them as a top team in the la Liga At 13th position with just 19 points isn't impressive enough to be a top team.

Villarreal have a few good performance this season  both in the la Liga and the Europa but it still doesn't make them the favorite for the Europa and if you ask me I will say the don't seem to have a good chance at the Europa so it will be even better for them if they will be able to focus more on staying in the la Liga because they may not be too far from relegation, a few mistakes can take them back there if they are acting carefree with the la Liga, the Europa if not wom this season the can always get a chance for a trial next season but if they get relegated it then mean the lost out in both the Europa and the la Liga which is definitely not a smart move at all.
