Come on man, the real challenge for villareal is just starting right now. Leverkusen came even stronger than last season and we have liverpool as the storngest candidate to win europa league. Don't forget about roma and acmilan. These clubs could be threats for villareal as well. Just because villareal was having same pattern as villareal and it doesn't mean villareal will be winning the competition soon. We have to be fair if any clubs have their own chances to take the trophy.

Who knows if villareal will be also going down the line too far at the europa league soon. the team is not at a stage where we could get much worse but villarela needs always try to be careful caused by it has not faced yet the strongest club than it.
Liverpool and any other big clubs could be preventing villareal to get to the final of europa league soon. Im only saying based on what possibilities that may happen in the future.
Villareal was always performing so badly in la liga.

Villarreal are performing so well in the UEL and this doesn’t make them favorite for this competition especially as we’ve Leverkusen who’ve managed to stay unbeaten in all competitions and also Liverpool who’ve got a wide range of experience in European competitions, including other tough teams that got relegated to the tournament, it's a good thing to dream, but I think Villarreal are wasting their time ìf they're hoping on winning the UEL, all their focus should be performing better to remain in the Laliga next season.

They could probably be eliminated so soon in the Round of 32 or 16 especially as they’ve not faced much a great team. So they’ve got to be pretty careful so as not to let any cheap goal because they’re not yet stable as a team to oppose bigger teams. They’re still performing poorly in the La Liga and that could probably affect their UEL run if they’re not careful.

The European league is different from the domestic league. European League teams faced come from other leagues that play outside their domestic league. Villarreal's bad situation in La Liga this season is that they are still ranked below the top 10, they still have a chance to change for the better in the second half so that finishing in the top 10 is still there even though last season they finished in 5th position.
We still don't know who Villarreal will face in the European League in the next round after winning Group F.

They can continue like Sevilla, for me not necessarily because the European League competition will be different from the La Liga competition. Every team playing in the European League will try to go all out.

Two seasons ago, Frankfurt was a very surprising team in the Europa League. They won the Europa League title even though they performed poorly in the Bundesliga. The same thing happened last season, Sevilla won the Europa League title despite a poor performance in La Liga. Maybe this season will be very different because there are many strong teams in the European League who will compete closely since the round of 16.

Atalanta, Villareal, Leverkusen and Liverpool are some of the favorite teams in the round of 16, but several teams such as Milan, Galatasaray and several others are also worthy of being favorites. There are 8 teams that will qualify for the round of 16 from the playoffs, so we are looking forward to that.
I was very interested to hear the name of Frankfurt, which at that time was the team that managed to win the European League with the lowest cost calculation for one team compared to other teams that did not win.
If all the players owned by Frankfurt are calculated by the total market price for each player, then Frankfurt will be the team with the lowest cost.
The 2021/22 season is a historic season for them and for European League fans. Luck and hard work led Frankfurt to win its second European League title.

In a long time, there has only been one event like Frankfurt and this season we will not see it again. This season, teams that are inconsistent in the domestic league, in my opinion, will also not be included in the favorites list.
Villarreal is not sure I am capable of this Europa League.
I have too much confidence in Liverpool, who I support in all competitions.

Villarreal is doing shit in LaLiga and good in Europa LEague like the guy above me said, it reminds me about the Sevilla last year, who was a total mess in local tournament but ended up winning the Europa League, in the case of Sevilla they start bad in LaLiga and ended up in good shap, but is an equal case with this of Villarreal, but i dont see Villarreal winning anything.
Since Emery left Villarreal their situation has changed slightly but it is not impossible for them to focus more on the Europa League now rather than looking at La Liga.

Not that La Liga is not very important in this case but if you look at their current condition it must be difficult to compete in the race for the Europa League or Champions League because they are currently still scattered in the middle standings so surely their priority will be in the Europa League and it was seen when Villarreal performed quite well in the Europa League group phase.
The current situation is actually almost the same as Sevilla did last season but of course that doesn't mean they can walk free in this competition because after all, looking at the opportunities that exist for them at this time Villarreal is just a dark horse for the Europa League.

Villareal performance in La Liga is not very good, they are ranked 13th with a level of consistency that is not very stable, but this club performed impressively in the European league with only 1 defeat and this club managed to qualify for the last 16 together with the featured clubs as Leverkusen and Liverpool. However, unfortunately this club is not really a favorite for many people to win the Europa League title. Many people have doubts about this clubs performance, but we'll see if Villareal can be the same as Sevilla, which was able to win the Europa League title even though the consistency in La Liga is quite messy.

La Liga remains an important competition for domestic clubs. If they don't prioritize their main clubs then they will be increasingly eliminated and it is not impossible that Villareal ranking in La Liga will continue to decline, even though this club remind Sevilla last season, I think Sevilla is still much better in comparison Villareal in recent years while Sevilla have dominated European League title so it is natural that Sevilla is more favorite even though in La Liga they are a mediocre club.

Indeed. Leverkusen and Liverpool often becomes the headlines of our discussion in UEL. I think it is normal because these teams are the most stronger teams in UEL. Both Leverkusen and Liverpool performed impressively this season, they can lead the domestic league so far. So, I think people are very reasonable if they make these teams to be the favorite teams to win UEL.

However, it is true that everything is a speculation or a guess. We only consider it by analyzing the stats of their performance, the squad quality, and the reputation of the coach. In the field, these sometimes can't guarantee to win, the result of the match can be unpredictable. In some cases, smaller teams can defeat favorite teams.
I also think it makes sense that many parties favor Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool as strong candidates to win the Europa League title if you look at both of them currently in a very impressive domestic league which is even predicted to have the potential to become champions. in their respective leagues.
These parties are considering various metrics to determine which shall be the team to win the europa league this season. Leverkusen has been showing amazing and consistent performance in europa league and domestic league. Can we call it as a bad club? We can't.
Just try to take the fact that if leverkusen even the main competitor for bayern munich in the bundesliga. We do know that how strong bayern munich is right now and it gives us a new impression if leverkusen should be on the UCL instead of europa league with its current level of gameplay.
Look at how good the gameplay of leverkusen compared to the another club in europa league. Liverpool was the only strongest competitor to win europa league this season.

Yes, it's true, sometimes the quality of the squad and statistics are not always the benchmark for easily advancing to the final round, there will be many surprises on the way there, even teams that were previously not favorites actually beat the favorite team. This is what the teams that are favorites to become champions have to be aware of, don't underestimate their opponents in the knockout round because in football anything can happen. And there are also teams in the domestic league that perform poorly but they are good in the European league like Sevilla last season.
Europa league is far hard to be predicted compared to the UCL. We do know that if UCL has been dominated by the strongest in european continent but europa league was sometimes giving us surprise like when sevilla won europa league again last season.
None has ever predicted that if sevilla could do that through dramatic ways. So, im also valuing europa league so high. This means that if this competition is worthy enough to be watched caused by there will always be many surprises to come.

I had a look at the table because I wasn't fully aware of how it is looking for Villareal currently. I now saw that they are literally fighting against getting into the relegation zone. Now I read your post and you say that they are focusing more on the Europa League because they are caught in the middle of the La Liga table. No, shit is hitting the fan for them dude! There is no focus on the Europa League because they first and foremost have to make sure that they are not going to end up playing in Segunda Division next season. LoL, "they are currently still scattered in the middle standings". I would never want you to be the coach of a serious soccer club, it would end in a serious mess. Cheesy

I don't think Villarreal will have problems in La Liga. Yes, they don't have many points, but their position in the standings is not critical and they will have to try very hard to get into the relegation zone. Another talking point could be that Villarreal had an easy group in the Europa League, that's why they were able to take the first place. But I am sure that they will have big difficulties further on.

Yes, currently Villarreal's position in La Liga is number 13 with a points distance that is not far from the clubs in the relegation zone. This is like the case of Sevilla last season where they were very bad in La Liga but could be really awesome in the Europe League. However, who knows what happens next with Villarreal, because they have just entered the group qualifying round and have to meet against a group which is of course getting stronger. So this will definitely be a challenge for Villarreal in the Europe League. And this will be exactly difficult for them to win this title.

Liverpool for sure will favor fighting for the Premier League rather than giving it all in the Europa League which is still a great European competition but not of the level of Champions League. If they were in Champions maybe they would try to fight the hardest in both fronts but seeing that they are in Europa League they will be trying to fight much harder for the Premier League title which is more loved by their fans than Europa League.I agree though that Liverpool is the strongest contender not only to the Premier League but also to the Europa League competition.
For this season, Liverpool are full of enthusiasm and on fire to win the EPL, because previously they really failed. So, however, I think their main focus will be on the EPL. But of course, that won't affect their performance in the European League, because after all they have survived this far and just have to fight again. Surely it would be more satisfying if they managed to win the EPL title and also the Europe League, that is definitely one of their hopes this season, because after all they have the opportunity to do that.

That's why I said their situation is the same as Sevilla last season.
For the Europa League they only have to wait for the opponent who will play in the play offs and if we calculate the statistics of the round of 16 until the final (if Villarreal is able) it means they will only compete 7 more times and even then if they are able to set foot in the final so in this case the main focus is definitely the Europa League just like Sevilla did but if in the end they are eliminated in the Round of 16 phase or maybe in the quarter-finals then surely the focus is on improving for La Liga.
The current position in La Liga they are in 13th place and only 4 points different from the difference of the club that is in the relegation zone but it will not be a problem that is quite complicated because the match is still very long and with their strength I think when the focus is on La Liga they are definitely able to get out of that zone but for the Europa League once they make a mistake in the match that is done then it is the end for them.

I disagree to its fullest. Villareal's biggest focus is La Liga and nothing else. If you have some insider information, then let everyone know here, but I doubt that you are in touch with anyone from Villareal. If they are asked whether they want to be relegated into Segunda Division, but they get the Europa League title, or if they stay in La Liga but will lose the Europa League title, what would they prefer. I guarantee you that in 100% of the time they would say they want to stay in La Liga. Now tell me again what their main focus is, please. Or tell me that you disagree and that they would take the Europa League title and play in Segunda Division.

Well Unai was such a quality coach and they lost out on him. And since his departure this Villarreal team haven’t achieved much a success both in the league and otherwise. In the UEL, they seem to be quite successful but I don’t see them being able to stand against top guns and battle for the UEL trophy. They’re in a dilemma league wise but quite successful in Europe and could try to achieve a feat in this competition.

Sevilla was in same dilemma last season and they clinched the UEl title, but it could be quite difficult for Villarreal this time out, they're not really doing very fine in their domestic league and could be relegated if care is not taken, they'll need to forfeit the UEL and focus on their domestic league or end up being relegated which is something I think they won't want. There's no point fighting for a trophy they won't end up winning.

In my opinion, they have to focus on both, meaning Villarreal must be able to improve their performance in Laliga because their ranking is getting worse with the series of bad results they have gotten. And in the European league they don't know who the opponent they will face is because as group winners they have to wait for the play-off round first to see who their opponent is. For that reason, I think it would be better for the Villarreal coach to pressure his players to perform better in Laliga.

Villarreal have suffered 10 defeats and they are even in an unsafe position on the standings because the points gap between them and the teams in the relegation zone is not too far. In terms of strength, of course they are quite weak in Laliga this season because they have conceded quite a lot this season. Las Palmas are their next opponents and maybe they can maximize this match to get points to improve their ranking.

I highly doubt that a team at Liverpools level would have to pick one or the other. They are capable of putting all their effort into both premier league and europa together. That doesn't mean that they will win both, it doesn't even mean that they will win anything, they can lose both but that also doesn't mean that they have to pick just one of them and focus on that. They could very well just play both of them and that should be the most important part.

I believe that they are going to end up with something much more important, and that usually states that they are going to try to get them both along with fa cup, that would be a treble as well, sure not UCL but still it's a treble and would make the fans all the more happy with the result.

I wonder if they will be able to win this considering the tight schedules they are having to go through right now. I think winning the treble is impossible if they don't sign any new players this season. Their main midfielders are already injured. Thiago and Mac Aliister are their main midfielders. Thiago has become old and he can't perform as much as surely is injury prone.

Surely they need to recruit more midfielders in this winter season if they want to win the treble. Any team needs the squad depth to keep the squad going and Liverpool lacks that in midfield. It may seem there is no pressure now but when the Europa League matches start, things will get very hard for them.

These two teams have always been a theme in our discussions in the Europa League competition so far, although this is very natural because both of them are in their best performance and are at the top of the standings in their respective Domestic Leagues. but as I said, so far we have only assumed and speculated. after all, the playoffs haven't been held yet, and which team will be the challenger for these two teams in the future? statistically, both Liverppol and Leverkusen have performed impressively and they deserve and deserve to be favorites to become champion candidates or even enter the final round of the Europa League later. unfortunately, in football it is unique. sometimes, even a strong team can be overthrown by a team that is not at all superior.
Indeed. Leverkusen and Liverpool often becomes the headlines of our discussion in UEL. I think it is normal because these teams are the most stronger teams in UEL. Yeah both events are very important and will be the top priority for Liverpool.
Its been 4 years since they won the Premier League and its been 24 years since they won the Europa League.

Interesting fact, Liverpool under Kloop have won the Champions league, Premier League, FA cup, EFL cup, FA Community Shield, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup but not with the Europa League.
Maybe this year ..

It's a joke if Villarreal become a champion in this season, everyone are guessing either Liverpool or Leverkusen will win, it's make sense since both of them are in good perform.

Personally I want to see Leverkusen to win because Liverpool already won many times and it's not really surprising to see them become a winner.
Placing Villarreal as one of the candidates to win the European league cup does feel like a joke but maybe things will happen that we never know about in football (even great difficult stories often don't happen anymore). We have to open our eyes. Looking at Villareal this season, it seems impossible for this to happen, there are still many other strong teams that need to be looked at, such as Milan, Galatasaray, Liverpool and Leverkusen. These four teams might make more sense because apart from having good quality players, the four teams also perform quite well in their respective leagues. However, many people predict that the strongest candidates this season will be Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen because these two teams are currently on fire in their respective leagues.

La Liga has not been the competition for Villarreal. They have only one win in the last 5 matches in La Liga. That is definitely not something to be proud of. But I also agree that the Europa League competition is far different compared to the La Liga competition. And so far they have shown good performance in the Europa League competition. They are the top team in the group that they are in right now.

So I have high hopes from them in the Europa League competition. They should at least get to the semi-finals in that Europa League. And I will actually say that they should just concentrate on trying to stay out of the relegations in La Liga and concentrating on the Europa League competition. That will probably be better for them in the long run.
