I'm going to keep myself from betting today but if I bet I assume my choices would be like below for the remaining games.  Smiley

What do you say? Would you prefer this? Panathinaikos and Ajax both won the first legs by only one goal. I feel like both of them would like to consolidate their win to advance. This is why I think both of them would win. When it comes to Cercle Brugge, the first leg ended by 1-1. Normally they are the stronger side in the matchup. I don't think Kilmarnock will be able to hold them off this time. I expect a win in regular time.

I hope I don't regret not to bet on it.  Tongue

The new format will benefit teams with good squad depth. They will be able to rotate players for each match. This looks good for the big teams. But I think on the other hand this new format will not harm the underdogs because usually the top teams have a tighter schedule than the underdogs. I don't know if my opinion is right or not (cmiiw). This is a new format that was first implemented in European competitions. Honestly, I still miss the old format which I think is very interesting but we can't stay in the past. I hope this new format can make every match interesting to watch.
The old format is good and it is been very good way to determine champions even though the draw do favor some teams.
This new format will be good and any team that emerge to be the winner of either the UEFA Champions League, Europa League or conference league would have followed big strategy that will make them to worth the championship. I think squad depth will actually say a lot in the entire process, but luck will still work on some teams and experience will actually tell a lot in the process. The next season’s Champions League and Europa League will be interesting to watch.

Europa League is no consolation prize anymore, guy. These elite teams: Roma, Man U, among others are failing out of the Champions League? Their displeasure from this. This redemption arc is their opportunity to show they still have power to be reckoned with. They are going all in, every single match; they are not playing about

Big team? That is transforming the entire freaking game, bro. These teams are driven for the victory, not only for a participation prize. That strength? It stinks over, guy. You got smaller clubs; they might not be able to stay up, but the major guys? They define the tone and transform every game into a struggle. It's erratic, fascinating, and that's what makes the competition hellful

How i can blame you?  You're absolutely right, it's not a consolation prize at all, it's a real championship, even a difficult one, where teams of a certain caliber compete.
I wouldn't really say it's a smaller cup, the earnings will certainly be smaller, but in my opinion it's a very tough tournament.

But, in the Europa League that the top  team is also unable to guarantee its success in getting the Europa League trophy. After all, the fact also happened last season about Bayer Leverkusen who was very impressive without defeat and also,Liverpool who became a strong candidate to win the Europa League trophy last  season. But anyway, the reality is that the team also failed and even, if we compare Liverpool with Manchester United, of course Liverpool is also a better team, but the reality is that Liverpool also still failed last season.

Thus, although the Europa League trophy is not just a consolation prize but still, in the Europa League even the teams that are not favorites are also able to succeed in getting the trophy. So, in this case, it's not about the consolation prize and it's not about the top teams that seem to be your only reference for trophywinning teams. Because after all, the favorites and the top teams in the Europa League have failed more often.

It will make the European competitions more interesting and taken serious by clubs because there is no alternative when you lose out of the group stage. Most clubs will try to put in their best performance so that they can finish first or second on the table so that qualifying to the next round will be certain. On the other hand weak clubs will still be weak clubs and they will be eliminated by strong clubs.

Given the teams participating, I'd say it's a good cup.
I don't follow the Europa League much, I wanted to ask you since it seems to me that you follow it better than me, has anything changed in the Europa League formula (let's say the Champions League mode?)
Since I'm really struggling and I don't seem to like it too much (UCL), I might decide to change and watch the Europa League.

The Europa League are for presentable clubs mostly the fiercest clubs coming from the knockout phases of the UEFA Champions League. This season was entertaining and keeping everyone tense, Atalanta was Champions after eliminating top oppositions and been the first club to thrashed Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final. It quite tough to handle but there's everything to worry about because opportunities are available and risen to complex phase.
The 2024/2025 season will be different from the previous season, no more clubs from the Champions League will go down to the Europa League since the new format was implemented. The Europa League is participated by teams that successfully finish in the domestic league below the Champions League slot, all clubs that successfully finish in the Europa League Zone are entitled to appear in the Europa League. In every competition, unexpected surprises always occur. Leverkusen, who performed very well last season, surprisingly had to submit to Atalanta.

However, both teams will not participate in the Europa League because Leverkusen got a quota to play in the Champions League after finishing first in the domestic league, while Atalanta qualified for the Champions League through a special route after winning the Europa League. This season there will be a champion in the Europa League because of the new system in the Champions League, Manchester United who are improving the quality of their squad will target this trophy, Ten Hag will also try to take advantage of the opportunity given by Manchester United management to prove his ability to handle MU.
There are some striking changes after the Europa League changed its format, the group stage changed to a single League stage with participants increasing to 36 teams. This means that there is no longer a division of groups A, B, C and so on like last season, each team in the single League stage will face 8 other contestants, to compete for the top 8 rankings so that they can automatically qualify for the last 16 stage, the rest will follow the play-off path. Sure enough, another striking change is that there are no more teams from the Champions League being relegated to the Europa League, as we know that the Champions League has also used a new format for next season.

Among all the contestants who have automatically qualified at this time, Man United does look more dominant, it is only natural that many people favor Ten Hag squad to become champions. At this time, the Europa League is entering the second qualifying round, which means there is one more qualifying stage left to determine who will qualify. On the other hand, we may have never seen a Europa League as interesting as last season, when Leverkusen was favored but Atalanta managed to lift the trophy. Something like that could happen again next season, and we have to admit that the Europa League has many unexpected surprises.

Looking at the teams who qualified for the Europa this season, interestingly, not many of them have got an awesome or very brilliant depth, but at least they are at almost same ranges with slight differences above each other. The Old format isn't gone long enough to miss already but then we are expectant of a good and smooth working for the new format, as for the underdogs, it's going to be a new way of engagement for them as they aren't engaged this much before now except in their domestic leagues.

The UCL League and Europa League next season will indeed be very interesting, especially with the new format, of course this will be a burden for all teams because the schedule is too busy so that it requires smart coaches to rotate players. With the new format like now, it is the same as torture for players because they have to play in the domestic league, plus the Champions League or Europe with a domestic league model without a group phase, if the coach is not smart in rotating players, then the team players will experience a storm of injuries.
I think all coaches will find a way to create a new strategy in dealing with the new format next season so that their players do not get tired easily and are not easily injured due to the density of matches in a fairly close time. And yes, any coach must be smart enough in managing and rotating each of their players so that the team remains in better condition with mainstay players who do not easily lose their stamina due to this. But I also think that in implementing the new format, of course, it will not be easy for anyone because everyone is still not used to it.
It will be easy for the strong and determined club who is ready to win UCL because we must have a winner even with the new format. It is new and that is what life is all about changes and we need to accept any change and adapt to it, so I believe soon the clubs and players would be used to the new format.

It is good because this will make all clubs stay on track and bring out their best so that they can qualify from the group stage. Also coaches without a good strategy on how to use his players might get kicked out due to fatigue on his players.

Tomorrow will start again the second leg of the Europa League qualifying match I think this is not an easy choice to determine the betting choice because there are many clubs that I do not know in this competition but I will try to predict according to my knowledge.
Elfsborg vs Sheriff previously Elfsborg had won the first leg with a narrow score and I think he has a great chance to win again in the second leg because he is playing at home btw I only choose a few clubs to include in my parlay bet hopefully my prediction is correct and lucky this time.

I am not familiar with some of the teams here and the only ones I know are Sheriff Tiraspol, Molde, Ajax and Panathinaikos. With my knowledge betting on those four teams should be quite profitable and I might take a few steps before deciding.

If you look at your bets, actually everything is very fitting but I want to ask why you did not choose Sheriff Tiraspol and instead chose Elfborg? Is it because Elfborg is the host so you make an assessment from that side?

Also for the Molde vs Silkeborg match or Botev vs Panathinaikos you are looking for a safe option with small odds and I think that is okay because I would make the same decision if I were in your position. For Ajax vs Vojvodina I don't think we need to question this because it is certain that Ajax will win easily.

-snip-However, I am sure that with a new format like this there will be many surprises this season because it is the first time they have implemented a format like this. But what is certain is that the Europa League is no less interesting than the UCL League, which will both create surprises for small teams because this format benefits teams that do not have a busy schedule.
Basically, whether the new format or the old format is used in the competition, each club must have good squad depth. The reason is that they can freely make changes to the composition of players in each match, and also in the midst of a busy schedule they can rotate players so that their players do not experience excessive fatigue. This is why every season break, all clubs must prepare themselves well so that they can anticipate undesirable things.

A problem that often occurs in the midst of a very busy schedule is fatigue and injuries experienced by players. At that time, if they don't have even squad depth, they will be confused and that will make their performance decline. However, many people still feel this, no matter whether the club is small or big, because there are always unexpected things that happen even though they have prepared very well.

The European League will carry a new format with many changes that will occur later, the most prominent thing is the increase in the number of clubs that will participate next season and this will automatically mean that the number of matches for each club will increase compared from European League last season, currently the only way for teams who are playing in the European league next season to be able to keep up and also remain able to compete with other clubs is to improve the depth of the squad they currently have to make it easier for them to can rotate players, adding new players will be alternative for the team to be able to perform consistently well in the league domestic and European league next season, so far many clubs can not been able to maintain their performance when facing a busy schedule none other than because the depth of the squad they have is not adequate, so forces coaches to continue playing their main players in every match so far without having replacement players which worthy.

Atalanta have struggled of late because no one thought at the start or mid-season that this team could win the Europa League. Bayer Leverkusen have been a consistent team from the start of the season and they were undefeated before the Europa League final, naturally everyone thought that Bayer Leverkusen would be the champions of the Europa League last season. Incidents like this last season remind us that apart from performing well throughout the season, it is important to perform well in the semi-final final matches as well. The Europa League is going to be more exciting this season as Manchester United has been re-entered this season and this team is considered to be the favorite team of the season. However, the field performance will prove which team actually deserves the tournament.

The second leg of the qualifiers will be played tomorrow and apart from the teams you mentioned, there are actually several other teams that will also undergo life and death matches to determine their qualification for the next round, Ajax, Molde, Panathinaikos, Trabzonspor and Braga of course have a big chance of qualifying to the next round considering that they managed to win over their opponents in the first leg, but for the other teams it seems they still have a 50/50 chance of qualifying because most of them won narrowly and drew in the first leg, in my opinion even though the teams you mentioned are very likely qualify, but we also cannot deny that there will be surprises that might occur in the second leg from the opponents they face .

Yes, there are still some matches that I did not include in my multi bet for the following reasons.

Sheriff - Elfsborg aggregate 1-0
Kilmarnock - Cercle Brugge aggregate 1-1
Corvinul Hunedoara - Rijeka aggregate 0-0

From some of these matches I am very doubtful about the aggregate score of some of these clubs even though from some of the matches I chose there was also a small aggregate score difference but the club was slightly more popular and had experience in European league competition.
Maybe Sheriff is also one of the clubs that is not foreign but I still doubt it.

Yes, maybe there are always surprises but I do not include the matches that provide surprises in my bets.

Yes you are right I completely agree with you Europa League is great competition that shows how good top clubs are. This season was exciting and Atalanta win was amazing. They played really well against Bayer Leverkusen in final which shows how strong and determined they are. Competition is tough but I think that is what makes it so interesting. It is a chance for teams to prove themselves and I'm looking forward to seeing which teams will do well in the future.
With format that allows clubs from Champions League to drop to Europa League after failing in group stage, it makes Europa League more unpredictable with some surprising appearances of big clubs from Champions League. It increases competitiveness in Europa League but reduce chances for clubs join Europa League at beginning to win Europa League.

For general quality of Europa League, it's definitely good but some clubs will not like this format. It is like pros and cons because with appearances of clubs from Champions League, it can help Europa League to get more money from television rights, and this source of income will be distributed to many clubs in Europa League. They can not ask for pros but don't accept cons.
