We don't yet know for sure whether the team's performance will decline if several of the brand's main players are injured because it could be that there will be a cover that can cover if player rotation occurs in order to maintain the team's performance, because the team should be able to do that.
So far, Bayer Leverkusen is still quite strong and consistent, regarding bad incidents (injuries) to players in the future is something that cannot be predicted, but if we look at almost all lines, they have players who have even quality so it is possible for them to maintain performance.
But what often happens is that when a key player is injured, the team begins to see a decline, even though it is not too deep, but often when facing an important match, they actually experience defeat or results they don't expect, even a team as great as Manchester City experienced this when Kevin DeBruyne was injured despite the intelligence of their coach succeeded in closing the gap left by KDB with the right players so that City could recover, but if there is quite a difference between the reserve players then slowly teams that face injured players and also have to play in several competitions will end up sacrificing other competitions and focusing only with just one competition.
We have to see Bayer Leverkusen play several matches to be able to judge that their players' injuries do not affect the team's performance. If they start to lose then it is evident that the player's injuries are disturbing the team, but because they are safe in the European league and the team they are facing can be said to be below their quality compared to them, the remaining two matches would not be a problem if the result was only a draw, because Bayer Leverkusen has confirmed that they have passed the group phase.
It is very true that injuries experienced by key players can cause decline in performance which can even be quite significant and so far there have been quite lot of strong teams who have lost core players due to injury and then they experience decline in the quality of in playing, what is even worse is that this decline causes several defeats.
Even so, there are still one or two teams that are not too affected by the presence of injured players, but teams like this are usually teams with players who are all said to be great players and they have truly become perfect squad.
When an injury occurs to core player, there are still other players who can provide stability and there are also reserve players who can at least have equally good playing qualities.
Like Real Madrid, they experienced conditions like this but the decline in performance was not that significant.

Moreover, Leverkusen will only play against Hacken which is the team in the bottom position in group H and in four matches they have not won single win, I still believe that Leverkusen is able to win this match despite the shortcomings they are currently experiencing.

As I said, injuries are probably the only thing that can actually cause Bayer Leverkusen problems, except for God. Like there is no reason for them to start performing badly at this stage unless it is because of injuries. Without injuries, I think they are very much capable of actually winning both the Europa League competition and also the Bundesliga title. They are definitely going to go far in the Europa League competition. And in the Bundesliga, I am expecting that they are going to finish at least in the second position.

The depth can be decisive. If one team loses their top scorer and they can still replace that player with a good enough alternative, it is quite different from a team that can't. But we are still talking about professional football on an international level and every team should be able to come up with a competitive solution to still retain their chance to win a game against a superior team if they go all out with all their heart. There are these talents like Mbappe or Messi and those players can never be replaced, but a lot can be done when the team has great and strong cohesion and works as a unit.
Yes. The squad depth is quite important to ensure the consistency of a team to play in a good form. If they have no substituted players who have the quality to replace the main players, it will bring a serious impact for the team. A low quality of substituted players will make a big decrease in the performance.

Regarding the squad depth of Leverkusen, they still have no many substituted players with good quality. If many of the main players get injured, they are very possible to get losses in the next matches, specifically for the matches against strong teams. I really hope Xabi Alonso sometimes can rotate the starting players on the lineup when they play against weak teams. So, the main players will have time to rest, maintain their fitness, and avoid the chance for injury.

In Leverkusen, they only have Victor Boniface as the most productive striker. Patrik Schick still gets injured, it will take a long time to recover. If Leverkusen lost Victor Boniface, there is no alternative for an experienced or quality striker.

I don't believe in Xabi Alonso's success in developing wings from Leverkusen, as a former Real Madrid and Bayern player, Xabi Alonso's experience is extraordinarily good, he has a good mix to perfect the team he is currently coaching, Leverkusen is successful on not defeated in the last few matches, they even qualified for the next phase in the DFB Pokal and European League, I'm sure Leverkusen will continue to be successful if coached by Xabi. in group H, leverkusen is firmly at the top with unbeaten results.
Xabi Alonso is definitely going to stay awhile with Leverkusen, considering how much he has achieved with the team so far since he assumes the head coach of the team, definitely they wouldn't let Hime go just like that because they believe he can achieve even more if only he stay a bit longer.
Who knows? Real madrid will lose ancellotti next year and the club is obviously seeking for a new coach to coaching the club. Xabi has been lined up as one of potential coach to replace ancellotti soon. No doubt that if real madrid will be trying so hard to get him if he will be targeted by el real.
The chance of leverkusen to lose him is very high caused by xabi has also ever played for real madrid and he was getting numerous achievements there. There is no feel doubt if xabi may be going there soon.
Zidane has also become one of candidate but i would prefer for real madrid to get xabi alonso. It will help madrid to win so various trophies.

The results Leverkusen is getting now is such they have not had in a very long time in history, they have stayed unbeaten since rhis season both I'm the Europa and the bundesliga, a rear height they haven't attained in a while that up to the 10rh weak of the bundesliga thsy are yet to loose a single match but and have had only one draw and won the rest of their games, an achievement even the bigger teams in the bundesliga hasn't been able to achieve.
Leverkusen becomes a perfect club since xabi was going there. Leverkusen would be still staying at the bottom of him or even to be relegated this season. It's so amazing to see xabi was able making leverkusen to be placed at the top with only 1 season of his career as a new coach.
Leverkusen has made right decision to signed him as a new coach last season. I remember when many people doubted him.

Liverpool is one of the big teams we have in the Premier league and not participating in the Champions League this season is not a good one for them because the Champions league is a game Liverpool fancy so much. Liverpool have no choice than to work well in their performance to get qualify for champions through Premier league or Europa league.  Liverpool is the favourite for the Europa League championship if they are really determined to get title for the season.

Not participating in the Champions League was their fault, they flopped last season and everybody knew that. Jurgen Klopp has brought in players to fill the areas they lacked last season and they're progressing very well as it stands both in the Premier League and the UEFA Europa League Competition.
Even if they're currently absent in the Champions League, they remain the finest Premier League club in the major European Competitions.

They're no favorites for that Competition fully, they'll still face more challenging test and clubs who will definitely drop down from the Champions League group stages. Finally, they've been impressive and going hard especially at home.

I think Liverpool still has a big chance of getting the Europa League trophy this season because ya, basically Liverpool have also managed to improve their performance this season compared to last season . So ya, even though Liverpool only playing in the Europa League at the moment, but that doesn't mean Liverpool is weak because anyway, Liverpool at this moment also has good quality and is not inferior to the quality of the teams playing in the Champions League this season. Therefore, at least this factor also proves that at this moment Liverpool is a candidate for the Europa League title because Liverpool has the quality to play in the final, of course.
Liverpool are a strong contender to this league tittle, that is the Europa league, their ability this season has been seen and watched as Joghen Klopp tries to bring back the former Liverpool that they lost since Mane left the team.I believe Klopp will be very happy now that his team are doing so well. And Liverpool really tried for giving him the time in this world to get back to his best. The team has really improved this season,it seems as if Klopp talked some senses into the players. One thing about a team doing well is the team talk that goes on before and after any match,if winning will come,it all depends on the mindset of those players on the field. So if he has been a key to impart winning mentality into them, then surely, they will do.

Talking about the future Europa League champions when the group stages are still running is quite funny. I understand if there is some talk about the favorites, but telling who the future champion is, isn't it too early to do that?

I am sure that there are journalists who are trying to ask Klopp whether the Europa League season is already over because they will win the title anyway and I know how Klopp would respond to these guys. Maybe you should get the chance to tell him that they can cancel the rest of the competition and give him the trophy right away, then wait for his reaction! Cheesy

There are other tough clubs in Europa, but these clubs have not proven their energy yet, still waiting for them to compete with the Reds for the title. Why do most individuals seemed to be very confident of Liverpool winning the Europa trophy this season? Because I don't understand, there's presence of other clubs that have the capacity of winning and drawing Liverpool, instead no one focuses on them. The only team that keeps gaining massive credits on winning the Europa title is Liverpool, however let's wait for the final outcome for the league, which of these teams will go home with the trophy.

As I often say, this match is actually still quite long. Plus, the team that will drop out of the Champions League is not yet clear. However, the team that will become champions in the Europa League group phase is already visible. one of them, Leverkusen who smoothly wiped out 4 wins by collecting 12 points. while the team below it only has 6 points. With just one more win, Leverkusen can be sure of qualifying as winners of Group H.
At least, they have the opportunity to qualify for the next phase. Even so, we do not claim that they are able to play all their matches smoothly. What is certain is which strong team will be the opponent in the next round. However, everything is still not clear and certain. Anyway, it doesn't matter if there are other members who predict that one of the teams will be a potential champion.

After all, there is nothing wrong with that, everyone has the right to have an opinion and the same goes for us, especially Liverpool fans. They want their favorite team to perform optimally and win this competition trophy. This is something that is very normal, especially considering Liverpool's performance last season. It's natural, previously they experienced a down phase at the start of the season. The fans hope that this time it will be the revival of their favorite team and the same goes for the Domestic League. Klopp is no exception, he wants and gives the best for the club, fans and his squad when participating in various competitions. and I think everything is fine.

Xabi Alonso was the good player and now his performance with Bayer Leverkusen is giving him good time to show his best as coach which is surely impressive in this season if they are able to achieve something big surely things will be good for the rest of his future in Bundesliga they are at the top and in this UEFA Europa League they are also having good chance for the staying into hunt for the title their performance and achievements are giving all review how he is managing this all.

Even we are in early stages, but they are tagging as the favorite for the title with Liverpool with things will be clear after joining teams from the Champions League, but their performance is surely allowing them for staying at the top and have fair chance for this year's good end.
The only downside of being this good is that when teams have a great player and they are not a huge club, they usually end up selling that player, like even Mbappe came from some other team (was it monaco?) and eventually they sell that player for like 20-30 or even more, look at Dortmund and Jude, they sold him for 100 million, that's a ton of money.

However, Xabi is such a great manager and yet he will leave for free, he has proven to the world that he is a great manager and he can turn any club into a better club, and I am sensing that much bigger teams will put their claws into him eventually and get him. This means that Leverkusen will not get any money at all, because you do not sell managers, and they will get worse because next manager may not be this good. That's not a good thing in the end, it will definitely turn the situation a bit differently and we are going to end up with a lot of trouble one way or another, we should be careful.

Overall we certainly understand very well how Laverkusen performance has improved this season and last season under the control of Xabi Alonso, but management must be prepared for other realities and must open their eyes wide in the january transfer window. Many european clubs want to sign their top players, so I think Xabi will have to take a stand to convince them to stay.

It would be better if Laverkusen management supported Xabi financially to further increase the depth of the current squad, because the competition in the second half of the season will be more difficult and requires balance in every line. Their current consistency can be created because Xabi has a complete squad without losing important players for a long period of time due to injury, I think these two things should really be of concern to them at this time.

If it can continue to be stable then the championship trophy will automatically approach itself, Xabi just needs to carry out the appropriate strategy as of now. Liverpool and Roma are two teams that need to be watched carefully, the rest we don't know who will come here from the UCL group phase because there are still two matches left.

I'm wondering another thing about Xabi Alonso also. I mean I have doubts about his future at Leverkusen. I'm not saying it in a bad way of course because he has made this team much stronger than before. This is why I'm wondering about this. Xabi Alonso's name is called with some other big teams on one hand.

Real Madrid is the most speculated team with him these days. As you know Ancelotti has reached an agreement with Brazil already and he is going to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Xabi Alonso might really be Real Madrid's target after this happens. He has a history with them also and he might also like to not turn down this offer.

Actually, I think the European league is the second priority for Liverpool. Because the Premier League is the best league in the world and they will have to be more careful as they will play against teams that are tougher than the European league. If they care about the European league, they are almost guaranteed to win the championship with great victories.
A team as big as Liverpool should be able to make these two competitions run side by side with the same target, the Europa League and the Premier League are equally fierce and competitive, in the Premier League as we know there are many strong teams in the competition for the title as well as in the Europa League which is quite The competition is tight, but with the strength that Liverpool has, they should be able to prioritize both even though it is difficult to become champions in the Premier and Europa League.

I'm sure ofcourse, Liverpool will do the best they can to get good results for both competitions. Because ya, by having the same focus in both competitions, it will make Liverpool both have a good chance of getting the trophy. But if for example, if later Liverpool fail, but because Liverpool have tried well then of course Liverpool will still be close with the title maybe being runner up or failing in the final match. But the point is, I sure Liverpool not just prioritize just 1 competition, because basically Liverpool have a good chance in the Premier League and also in the European League, so it will be right if Liverpool keep going.

Liverpool is the strongest team in the Europa League. And right now Liverpool has the best chance of winning the Europa League title. But the problem is we don't know if Liverpool management is interested in winning the Europa League title. I think Liverpool's main target is to win the Premier League title. And so we don't know if Liverpool will give a full effort in Europa League matches. But if Liverpool wants to win the Europa League title, then Liverpool has the full qualification to be the Europa League champion. Liverpool players are in very good form now. Liverpool players are playing great in every match.
I don't agree completely with you on the fact that Liverpool is the strongest, currently they may look like it but then let's not forget the likes of Leverkusen a nd others who are doing so well in their various groups and very importantly, other teams who will be joining them later from the UCL.

Liverpool is currently in a good form and has so far performed really well except for one loss they suffer last time in the Europa, but as it regards them wanting the title, I think they do very much want the title because even klop it has been his dream to some day lift the trophy as the last time he was close to doing so he missed it but this currently looks like his chance, with the premier league the competition is very high and he has got more chance with the Europa.

I am not underestimating the Leverkusen team. This team is also very strong. They are playing very well. They have won every match in the Europa League. At the same time, the team has occupied the top spot in the Bundesliga table. The bonding between the players is also excellent. However, comparing the squads of Leverkusen and Liverpool, I consider the Liverpool team to be stronger. Liverpool's squad has plenty of stars and quality players. However, my point is that Liverpool are probably not interested in the Europa League title. So I think Liverpool have little chance of winning the Europa League title. Also, we still don't know which teams from the Champions League will play in the Europa League. Several strong teams from the Champions League will also play in the Europa League next season. So it is not possible to say which team will win the title or which team is the most favorite for the title.

In theory yes,Liverpool should be able to go much further in the Europa League considering that at least 85% of the teams there compared to players of Liverpool are much weaker than them. This should have a softer impact on Liverpool  as it is a much lighter league in terms of performing compared to the Premier League. This way I think Liverpool can even do well here in the Europa League not with their best starting eleven which I believe should be used much more in the Premier League which is wide open this season, overall though yeah a team like Liverpool can do pretty well by fighting in both leagues.
So far Liverpool look really good as Europa League champions because they have usually achieved good results in the Champions League. But I think the competition will be there when relegation happens in the Champions League.

Liverpool will definitely fight hard in this European league. They are usually in the UCL and this season is different. They definitely want to go back there next season somehow. At least in the European League, they can win the title. But once again, sometimes plans don't run so smoothly and smoothly. Luckily in the EPL itself, Liverpool has been able to enter second place, so this is a very good position to continue to maintain, so that they can also return to the UCL if Liverpool fails to hold the European League trophy.
Yeah they are really putting all possible best to win one trophy this season, they have been trying on this Europa League by wining majorities of there matches but although watching Liverpool matches very well you will see a lot of changes in performance unlike before they don't joke with wining but checking there overall statistics this season they have lose many of there matches and even considering the clubs that won them, is not supposed to win Liverpool if there in there good shape.

But however they have manage to maintain there first position on there groupe table followed by Toulouse with some points different.
Liverpool is one of the big teams we have in the Premier league and not participating in the Champions League this season is not a good one for them because the Champions league is a game Liverpool fancy so much. Yeah I myself I was very surprised how they were unable to qualify for the champion league this season, however this is the only season that Liverpool has failed to qualify to champion league because from 16 season now they have been qualifying to champion league but I don't know what happened to the team this season.

Because considering there performance they have been wining so many of there matches, even maintaining second position on premier league table and also leading on there group on this league, so I wonder why with all these performance they have they were unable to qualify.

I completely agree with you about this all currently they are hot favorite for this title and their spot into Premier League is second with their next game is against leaders Manchester City which will not easy for the both teams they are doing their best for the both titles, and they have enough sources for this as well with their current form they have chance for the next seasons Champions League but winning Europa Cup could be big booster for them and their confidence level could be skyrocketing for the next season currently things are going impressive.

Jürgen Klopp is without any doubt one of the best in this business, and he is learning from his last season's mistakes which make life difficult, but now they are back with a bang.

Xabi Alonso must be wanting every thing he could achieve with Leverkusen now.  Grin  Because their look in the recent times has been really incredible. They are very ambitious for the Bundesliga and Europa League both. They are surely one of the top contenders in both competitions at the same time. It is up to how consistent they will be throughout the season.
Giving a good achievement for leverkusen will be also giving good impact to his performance and adding more portfolios in his career. There was no coach that is willing to see their favorite club to lose or get nothing. Leverkusen is on the right track at this moment.
I can't imagine when xabi will leave from leverkusen. There will be a set back for leverkusen. The club may back again to the what it used to be. Leverkusen is too dependent on xabi right now. He was able changing the club so much.
No doubt that if there are many people who were also praising him at this moment especially leverkusen fans. Glad to see we have another strong club this season.

I really wonder how Xabi Alonso has created a bond like this with the players. Because I had doubts about him first because of his being first serious manager experience. It was actually the first experience for him considering managing a main team rather than Real Sociedad B.  Grin
The better you can watch it through leverkusen's twitter or clip. Xabi was only coaching them but he was telling them all about how to play football correctly.
Xabi has lots of experience to do that.

News of players' injuries affects a team too, worst case is when these players are key to the team, now the team will be left to having to find a replacement for these players, now in a situation where there are no quality replacements, then it'll cost the team drawbacks in their games, so it's very much essential that a team be able to build up their players' qualities so that there'll be good replacements for the absent players.

For Leverkusen, they may not have as good players as expected but they can still outshine their opponent in the next game being that the clubs they'd be against is lower in the table and definitely Leverkusen are an upper hand against them, so players or not, there's still a very high probability that Hacken will be pocketed and Leverkusen be victorious.

I really wonder how Xabi Alonso has created a bond like this with the players. Because I had doubts about him first because of his being first serious manager experience. It was actually the first experience for him considering managing a main team rather than Real Sociedad B.  Grin

@doomloop Xabi as a player was pretty good but as a coach he’s even getting better however I feel the fans should keep calm because if they put too much expectations on him then they could end up being disappointed too as he’s yet to evolve as a top coach and in time he definitely will but for now he’s just getting started. Lastly for the same reason I feel that Bayer should not be considered favourite to win this tournament just yet but if they reach the semis then the fans can definitely start dreaming for sure.

It is not that easy I think as there are a lot of good players out there, but it doesn't make them a good trainer. Xabi Alonso has a great character and that is what makes him the perfect candidate for a successful trainer. At the same time there are trainers who have never been great players. It goes both ways.

But in this case Leverkusen can't be any happier than having Alonso on board doing such a great job and the amazing thing about this relationship is that both benefit from each other. Alonso benefits from training the team and the team benefits from Xabi Alonso.
