Liverpool and Klopp currently the best combination with their main focus is still Premier League even they are having good edge here as in early matches they have done good work and currently leading their group next game is against LASK which is at the bottom and win at home can keep Liverpool at the top after this next game is against Royale Union in Belgium which is also not difficult with this all most chances Toulouse will be at second.

Leverkusen has been performing well in the Bundesliga since the start of the season and the Europa League as well, but if this team has an injury problem and if that problem lasts for a long time, then this team will definitely lose their best performance. A player sitting on the bench will never perform as well as a player in the regular XI.

Injuries causes decline in performance not just top players and it takes time before the player gets back to his full form; it takes generally hardwork and consistency, what will be worse if the decline in performance causes defeat of the team and it’s occurred in several teams, I feel alot of several big time would decline in performance based of this injury issues.

When you see team that’s not affected by injured players, then you should know the team has some quality players in key positions of the team. Squad depth comes into play e.g when there’s an injury there’s a player to cover up and it looks as if there’s no injury at all. We can see that in teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City, Leverkusen will come out top of the match and grab all 3 points.

Liverpool is one of the big teams we have in the Premier league and not participating in the Champions League this season is not a good one for them because the Champions league is a game Liverpool fancy so much. Liverpool have no choice than to work well in their performance to get qualify for champions through Premier league or Europa league.  Liverpool is the favourite for the Europa League championship if they are really determined to get title for the season.

Rennes' performance is in contrast to the domestic league because they appear more consistent in the European league and are at the top of Group F with 9 points. Even though the group is filled with other good teams such as Villarreal and Panathinaikos, they still performed quite well by securing 3 wins from 4 matches.

Now Rennes is not completely safe because they still need at least one more win to ensure their progress to the next round and they are lucky enough to face Maccabi Haifa who are performing poorly at the bottom of group F with only collecting 1 point from 3 matches. This will be an absolute victory for Rennes and they can continue their journey in the European league and I hope this good performance will also bring positive results in the domestic league later.

It is very true that injuries experienced by key players can cause decline in performance which can even be quite significant and so far there have been quite lot of strong teams who have lost core players due to injury and then they experience decline in the quality of in playing, what is even worse is that this decline causes several defeats.
Even so, there are still one or two teams that are not too affected by the presence of injured players, but teams like this are usually teams with players who are all said to be great players and they have truly become perfect squad.
When an injury occurs to core player, there are still other players who can provide stability and there are also reserve players who can at least have equally good playing qualities.
Like Real Madrid, they experienced conditions like this but the decline in performance was not that significant.

Moreover, Leverkusen will only play against Hacken which is the team in the bottom position in group H and in four matches they have not won single win, I still believe that Leverkusen is able to win this match despite the shortcomings they are currently experiencing.

We all know that the only club that can certainly qualify from this group stage is the group winner, while the runnerup position they still have to play a play off match to be in the last 16, they also still have to wait for who finished 3rd in the Champions League group stage. This will be very difficult for them, because the opponents they will face from the Chmpions League are also opponents that they will not easily beat.

I agree they're Europa League favorites. Coaching by Klopp and Xabi Alonso makes the difference. Both have led successful teams. Liverpool may have an advantage due of their strong team and winning attitude. The real excitement may come in the round of 16, especially if Sevilla, a Europa League veteran, drops in from the Champions League. Their admission would increase competition, making Liverpool and Leverkusen's road harder. Im watching these two, but Im also intrigued how these seasoned Champions League teams will change the dynamics.

Yeah they are really putting all possible best to win one trophy this season, they have been trying on this Europa League by wining majorities of there matches but although watching Liverpool matches very well you will see a lot of changes in performance unlike before they don't joke with wining but checking there overall statistics this season they have lose many of there matches and even considering the clubs that won them, is not supposed to win Liverpool if there in there good shape.

But however they have manage to maintain there first position on there groupe table followed by Toulouse with some points different.

Loosing top scorer in a team is always really tough on team on them because their results will be affected and sometimes how well they perform especially when they meet bigger teams is really affected aswell, so getting a good replacement is something they fight to do almost immediately so they don't get to suffer the after effects long enough after the player is gone.

Players like Messi and nema when they both lest PSG at same time it almost caused them a lot of time to get back on their feet, they were lucky enough to still have mbappe around to keep them going until they were able to get suitable replacement but then it still wasn't like when the trio was still there's, same was also seen with Manchester united if which they still suffer till today, the exit of their goal keep with a replacement that doesn't look better and Ronald, the list goes on.

But what often happens is that when a key player is injured, the team begins to see a decline, even though it is not too deep, but often when facing an important match, they actually experience defeat or results they don't expect, even a team as great as Manchester City experienced this when Kevin DeBruyne was injured despite the intelligence of their coach succeeded in closing the gap left by KDB with the right players so that City could recover, but if there is quite a difference between the reserve players then slowly teams that face injured players and also have to play in several competitions will end up sacrificing other competitions and focusing only with just one competition.

Bayer Leverkusen has a squad depth that is almost evenly distributed and Xabi Alonso does not just rely on one player but involves all the players to be able to give his best performance and show his talent at this club.
I admit that Xabi Alonso has good chemistry so he can build a solid partnership and in my opinion if Leverkusen can continue to perform consistently like this Xabi Alonso will be able to bring Leverkusen to win the domestic league and also the European league.

in the European League groups H phase, no one has been able to beat Bayer Leverkusen, just like Bayern Munich who have not been defeated in the Champions League Group A and I thinks the big candidates to win the title in the European League and in Champions League, are the Germany Bundesliga club, namely Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich. It's too early to speculate, but at least I can see that German clubs are performing strongly in the Champions League and also in the European League.

You are right.  Although Leverkusen and Liverpool are the favorites for the Europa League title so far, several teams from the Champions League will also play in the Europa League. And teams like Manchester United, PSG or Newcastle have  the potential to play in the Europa  League. With these teams in the Europa League, it will not be an easy task for Liverpool and Leverkusen to win the title. If Newcastle  team qualify for the  Europa League, then this team will try their  best to win the  title. Because they have no chance of winning the Premier League title. In addition, the possibility  of staying in the top four of the Premier League is also less for Newcastle. So,  after winning the Europa  League title, Newcastle will be looking to qualify for the Champions League again.

I think that it's only a short term solution. There's no guarantee if the back up can have same performance as the main player. We can take acmilan's case as the best example for this problem. Acmilan has giroud which is always consistently scoring for the club unlike the secondary striker.
The secondary striker performs so badly and he was rarely contributing to the club. It's not about whether there is a player that can be used as a backup. It's about a backup that can have same performance compared with the main player.
Can we sure when haaland injured and the secondary player will able to play as good as him? I don't even think so. This is the most difficult task to find someone who can play as good as the main striker which was consistently scoring.
Th same thing is also happening in as roma. There's no guy who can play as good as lukaku as a striker in that club. So, when he gets injury and there's no one who can fill his position.
I meant the same performance as lukaku.

I think the real battle in the Europa League will be when all teams enter the round of 16. The reason is in the Playoff match to qualify for the round of 16 in the Europa League there will be big teams eliminated from the Champions League. And for this season there is the possibility that big names such as Man United, Newcastle or Dortmund or even AC Milan or PSG will play in the Europa League Playoffs. This means Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen will have strong competitors in the race to win the Europa League.
