Unless they have injury problems in the squad, they are not going to perform badly. If the players are healthy, they are going to continue performing well till the end of the season. Even if they do not win the Bundesliga title, they are going to finish in the second position of the table. And honestly, I'm not going to be surprised if they actually end up winning the Bundesliga title. Right now, it seems doable for them. They are also going to perform well in the other competitions as well. They just have to follow the plan and not get ahead of themselves.
True. Sometimes the injury problem becomes a big trouble for a team. Since Leverkusen has no good squad depth, it will be a serious problem if their main players injured. But I'm sure they know how to handle the possible problem, their coach must rotate some players in an easy match. So, the main players can be optimized in the big matches. Well, I agree with you, they are likely to finish the season in the 1st or 2nd place of Bundesliga. And for the European League, I predict they will reach the final round.

Inasmuch as every player of a team in fit for a match I don't think any match should be undermined, Leverkusen awesome performance so far might actually be as a result of the fact that their key players are fit for their matches but reserving players in matches that the club feels it's less competitive is not advisable. They should keep presenting their most consistent players in matches and they should also consider signing more players to the club as replacement should incase any of their key players gets injured.

The European competition might not really go as you are predicting Leverkusen to reach finals because there are also more tactical and experienced teams in the Europa league so their ability to make it to final is not really certain but they should keep on the energy they started with and they will record a commendable result in the league.

Are we gonna have the same discussion of all the years about Bundelisga? In the end is gonna be win by Bayern Munich, no matter if the team in front is Leverkusen Dortmund Leipzig, they always make the impossible to give the tittle to the bavarian team.

So i hope to at least Leverkusen do a very good performance in both Bundesliga and here Europa League.
People here are quite interested in the Bundesliga or because it is related to Leverkusen's performance in the European League. I don't know, but it's time to focus on the UEFA European League. At least, Leverkusen are playing very well here, they always win and can score quite a lot of goals. So far, it can be said that Leverkusen has performed very well here.

The match will be really more interesting once it starts to enter Round 16, especially since this will definitely be a separate competition for some of the teams who are favorites to win. Leverkusen could be one of them. However, you need to remember that there are still Liverpool, Atalanta, Real Betis, Sporting and several other top clubs. However, they must continue to look for ways to always exist and win in every match.

I think this time the discussion might be different, to be honest. Bayer Leverkusen is looking like a complete team this season. I know a lot of people have talked about a lot of teams in the same manner in the last 11 years in the Bundesliga. And in the end, nothing actually happened. It was Bayern Munich that won the Bundesliga consistently for 11 consecutive years. But this time Leverkusen is actually showing good hope. And I think that if injuries actually don't plague the team they are actually going to be able to win the Bundesliga title. But at the same time, Bayern Munich has a good squad, even better than last season. Let's see if Leverkusen can actually deliver as expected.

Leverkusen was the only team to qualify from the group phase among all the teams in the European League group stage. They finished 4 games with a win and got 12 points and now only have 2 games left for them. Even if Leverkusen lose or draw, it will not change the results, especially since they are already ahead on goal difference. Apart from that, I think Leverkusen will continue to win the remaining matches and don't want to tarnish the positive results they have achieved in all competitions currently.

Now Qarabag and Molde will be the two teams that will play it out to get second place in group H and considering that they both have 6 points, of course this will be an exciting competition to look forward to.

Leverkusen only needs a win from its last five matches and needs one more match to be sure of progressing to the next round without any obstacles. It seems that if you look at the match statistics and the meeting between Qarabag and Molde will be the deciding match for both clubs, in accompanying Leverkusen to progress to the next phase. Of course, Molde will really deserve to advance because of Molde's several advantages in this deciding match, even though both clubs are equally strong and have only won two wins in the last four matches in the UFA Europa League, of course this is a very appropriate deciding match to place a bet on that match. , because it will be very profitable to place bets on the two competing clubs.
If you pay close attention to the standings in group H then what Rendravolt said is correct that Bayern Leverkusen does not need to win in the remaining two matches because they have already guaranteed themselves to qualify from the group phase because the two teams that still have a chance to get to the playoff round will lose by a goal difference of Leverkusen, especially in the fifth match, only faces the Hacken team which has not won once this season in the European league, so a draw is not a problem for Leverkusen and they can focus more on maintaining the stamina of their main players to face Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
What Bayern displayed in the European League was very impressive, and they should be able to overcome the round of 16 to be able to go further. Hopefully, they won't meet Liverpool or AS Roma if they qualify early, and their meeting will only occur in the semifinals or final so there will be an interesting finale.

Bayern Leverkusen is currently a formidable and very promising team to win either trophies and I think that's their target this season, they play like they really want to end the season with a trophy because when we compare their performance in both leagues, they are doing really good topping at not leagues.
Imagine if Leverkusen can become a trilogy (win Bundesliga, Europa and DFB Pokal) this really a huge achievement for them since they haven't get any trophy since 1992. Do you think which is the easiest league from the three league I mentioned before? I choose Europa league because seeing Bayern Munich to lose looks impossible lol.
Leverkusen have been in great form this season. They hold  the top spot in the Bundesliga. They are 2 points ahead of Bayern Munich. And the team is consistently performing well in every match. On the other hand, he is playing very well in the Europe League  matches. It's hard to say which title will be easier for Leverkusen to win. Because there are strong teams  like Liverpool and Atalanta  in Europa League. So winning the Europa League title is not an easy task. I would say if Leverkusen only focuses on the Bundesliga then maybe the team can dominate the Bundesliga this season. Because their team is very strong this season.
The Bundesliga title will be harder to win. Winning against Bayern in 34 games is so much harder than winning a group against Qarabag, BK Häcken and Molde and then face harder opponents in a two-leg matchup. It may not be easier by a lot, but winning the Bundesliga is harder.
What is the chance that Sevilla wins the La Liga title? And what is the chance that the win the Europa League?
I think this is an example that shows quite well why these knockout competitions allow for more variance.

I know it is difficult to win the Bundesliga title. For more than  10 years, we have seen only Bayern  Munich dominate the Bundesliga. Bayern Munich won the title every season. However, last season and this season, Bayern Munich's power has decreased a bit. If Dortmund had won their  last match in the previous season, Dortmund would have been champions. And Leverkusen's performance this season  has surprised everyone. This is why I think maybe Bayern Munich's  dominance is starting to wane. Of course it  will be difficult for  Leverkusen to win the Bundesliga title, but if they do consistently well, I think it is possible  this season. Because Leverkusen's squad cannot be left behind in any part from Bayern Munich.

That can turn out to be an issue when they are lacking depth in the squad, but that is the same for almost any team. I don't know many teams in the Europa League that have a squad with enough depth to cope with several injuries. But Bayer Leverkusen does have experience with injured players as far as I know because they were affected by that in the past and right now they are in great shape because all players are available. Hopefully it stays like that because they are playing some great football these days.

Yeah that's true, just like I mention on my last post Bayer Leverkusen is  a team that has a very good potential, I actually never believe they will perform this good on this season, I know they have been doing very well in other season but this season has been so amazing for them because there performance cannot be compared to others.

At first I was even thinking that Bayern Munich will be more good in performance than Bayer Leverkusen but they were able to outperform Bayern Munich this season as such leading there group table.
Well this is an Europa discussion thread but yor discussion is now sounding more like one that should be in the bundesliga thread, my personal opinion tho. Never the less, talking about how formidable Leverkusen has grown this season, in Al honesty, it's really tremendous how they had a different game style this season and has been really good.

Back here in the Europa, they have lost non of their group games so far and I could say they are almost qualified for me because they are topping their group with a very good point already, they are aswell outperforming other teams in their group too well, so far I think Liverpool and Roma will be tho only team who could be challenging to Leverkusen in the Europa pending when others from UCL will join them.

Liverpool and Europa analysis.
Although Liverpool is in the Europa League but they are not Europa League candidates. They are purely champions league candidates and that is why have projected for long to be the Europa League champions.
Some people are saying that other clubs that will be relegated from the champions league will have the chances of winning the Europa League more than Liverpool but I doubt that prediction so much. Even if Manchester United goes to Europa they cannot beat Liverpool with their present condition.
What you said is also quite clear as to what I have been thinking all this time, because everyone has probably seen how Liverpool underwent this season full of surprises and quite interesting performances in the Premier League and also the European League. So I thought that it would be easier for Liverpool to win the Europa League this season than the Premier League this season, because in the Premier League there are many great competitors who are more difficult for Liverpool to face. Meanwhile, in the European League, there are no great competitors who can prevent Liverpool from winning this season.

Winning the Bundesliga or maintaining a good position in the top four clubs in Bundesliga qualifies them directly to the Champions League immediately. They don't have to wait until the end of the season before they do that.
Also, the Europa League would be definitely difficult to win, one of the ways to learn is through failures and another person's failure. They lost to Jose Mourinho and Roma and I believe they must have learnt some quality lessons.

I'd want them to challenge for the tittle that's the Bundesliga until the end of the season, watching Bayern Munich winning for tue past years made that league completely boring. Would be excited to see a bloody change.

I'm pretty sure that Xabi Alonso's focus so far is only on finishing in the top four of the Bundesliga, because after all their current rivals Bayern Munich are on fire. Actually, it is not much different from Leverkusen, especially since Leverkusen is at the top of the standings even though it is only 2 points above Bayern Munich. It's just that my question is, how long will they be able to perform consistently throughout this season. Well, for me, this is homework for the Leverkusen coach. The point is, it will not be easy to break the dominance of Bayern Munich, where even Thomas Thuchel's squad seems to appear more aggressive than at the start of the season.

So as I said, ideally if Leverkusen finished in the top four of the Bundesliga it would be an extraordinary achievement for Xabi Alonso and his squad. If in the end they are able to break Bayern's dominance, I think they will be very lucky. why, yep because this team is not as competitive as Bayern.
Talking about the Europa League competition, we can be sure that this team will qualify as winners of Group H.
Next, we will see their progress through match after match. and if Alonso targets this competition trophy, they have a chance of doing so. However, based on strength, performance and team depth, Leverkusen has experienced very significant improvements. As for their defeat against Roma, that match was the funniest and most annoying match. we both know how the match goes. This season, Leverkusen has several newcomers, pure strikers who can be relied on. plus, the players are productive. The question is, how far Alonso is targeting or focusing on the Europa League competition. The answer is, we will find out through match after match that they will play.

Bayern Leverkusen will surely win a trophy this season because they deserve it, perhaps this is one of there best year of good performance.

Yeah but their winning will be dependent on how steadfast and consistent they will be till towards then end of the season because for now the leagues are still very much young and they still have lots of matches to play ahead, if they maintain a good form then their winning a trophy can be assured.

They've still got lots of competitive clubs to play in the Europa league so winning those big competitors may not really be so easy for them but they need to strive harder, coming to the bundesliga as well the club behind them Bayern Munich is also a dogged club that doesn't resign to fate until they've achieved their goals, as we all can see that Bayern Munich is following them bomber to bomber so anything might happen if they lose focus.

This season was probably the worst that Ajax Amsterdam is going through. I thought that after their two wins in the league this could be the moment where they can turn everything around, but it isn't happening. The loss against Brighton and now also the draw against Almere in the last minute of the game is another setback instead of a turnaround. I believe that this season will have consequences for several more seasons. Usually Ajax is a real talent factory, but when they don't play in the Champions League, they are no as attractive anymore for young players.
They shouldn't be too heavy on themselves, to be fair everyone has bad years, and that could happen. The idea is simple, Brighton is having a wonderful year right? They are doing great, and they did quite great last year as well, so they are on the rise, and Ajax on the other hand is doing terrible, right? They are not doing all that great and their results are unsatisfactory.

So the question is simple, in five years, do you see Ajax being better than Brighton? I can see that for sure, and that is the important part. Consistency is the key in sports, and a team that is consistently good, could always have bad years, and a team that rarely ever does good, could end up having a blast season. We will see Brighton get worse, and Ajax get better.

They should be very heavy on themselves because the consequences for Ajax Amsterdam have a nightmare season weigh much heavier than the consequences for Brighton having a nightmare season. Ajax Amsterdam was the first address for many young players who couldn't yet make the next step to the big clubs in England or Spain, but still wanted to play at a club with great perspective and the Champions League. Perspective is falling apart, Champions League is history. The Eredivisie itself is by far not as attractive as the Premier League. Playing for a club in the Premier League, but not in the Champions League is several times better than playing in the Eredivise without Champions League.
Ajax Amsterdam is having a season away from its former spotlight. The players are not playing well at all. They are having one of the worst seasons in recent years both in the league and the European league. It is impossible not to feel sorry for the situation the team, which is a factory for young players, is in. I hope Ajax recovers as soon as possible.

Bayer Leverkussen the main objective I believe to be the Bundesliga yet this does not mean that if they have the chance they will negate to be winning the Europa League. One thing is sure and that is they are on fire on both events they keep winning game after game and I don't know if they will stop, they are eager to win more and more and are one of the most serious contender to Bayern Munchen,a dominating force in their domestic league.I know from my experience watching soccer since the year 1990 in the final of Argentina vs Germany that when a team is doing great in the domestic league,it will do so most likely also in their European competition.
So far, Bayern Leverkusen have quit well performance and keep unbeaten until 15 matches all competition between 11 matches in domestic league and 4 winning matches in Europe League. Talking about Bayern Munich opportunity for winning domestic league or Europe League seems too early because can't guarantee with impressive performance in group stage will be easy at knock out round, learned last season when Arsenal have most consistency performance in group stage but loss in 16th round from Sporting Lisbon.

Actually I want expect with Leverkusen will be the winning in Europe League and stop Sevilla domination how most teams winning this competition, Leverkusen have been qualified to 16th round and looking with current standings they will automatically finish on 1st place in Group H.

Leverkusen was good in bundesliga but it was bad on europa league. Xabi needs to put europa league as his major concern. Im not saying bundesliga should be discredited but considering that leverkusen was leaving from europa league. That can be a good motivation for leverkusen to win europa league then go to the UCL. Leverkusen must able to go to the final since the club is performing on fire in bundesliga. This club is in the same level as bayern right now.
Winning europa league will help leverkusen to get a fixed spot qualify for UCL. UCL has become the main target by anyclub caused by it will give lots of potential income for the club. Even allegri as juventus's coach saw it as a trophy.
Awaiting for xabi to show another surprise. he is only starting with the cheap squad

Well I don't really know if you know the position of Bayern Leverkusen in the Europa league but to call your attention Bayern Leverkusen is topping their group in the Europa league after winning all the four matches they've played in their group. Bayern Leverkusen is in good form both in bundesliga and Europa league so even if they don't win Europa league but make it among the top four then the will still be in the Europa league so the most important thing for them now is too continue in the impressive form if they can win one of the trophies.

When it comes to Leverkusen I believe in them not only in the Bundesliga but also here. Xabi Alonso's system is working smoothly in every important competition they play. There is no reason for Leverkusen not to take the Europa League as serious as the Bundesliga also. Because they aren't a regular in the Champions League recently.

Leverkusen must be aiming to win one of these competitions this season for sure. Because all this effort can't be for anything else. They must be aware of their potential at the moment. They have really challenging opponents on this road in both competitions though.

But as long as they keep up this level they are still going to be one of the top contenders in both of them.  Smiley
Overall we certainly understand very well how Laverkusen performance has improved this season and last season under the control of Xabi Alonso, but management must be prepared for other realities and must open their eyes wide in the january transfer window. Many european clubs want to sign their top players, so I think Xabi will have to take a stand to convince them to stay.

It would be better if Laverkusen management supported Xabi financially to further increase the depth of the current squad, because the competition in the second half of the season will be more difficult and requires balance in every line. Their current consistency can be created because Xabi has a complete squad without losing important players for a long period of time due to injury, I think these two things should really be of concern to them at this time.

If it can continue to be stable then the championship trophy will automatically approach itself, Xabi just needs to carry out the appropriate strategy as of now. Liverpool and Roma are two teams that need to be watched carefully, the rest we don't know who will come here from the UCL group phase because there are still two matches left.

For West Ham and Freiburg, both of them can be guaranteed to qualify if they succeed in winning their next match in Group A of the European League. West Ham will face TSC who will definitely not qualify and Freiburg will play Olimpiakos and this is where the obstacle for Freiburg occurs. The difference between Olimpiakos and Freiburg is 5 points and if Olimpiakos wins this match, of course they will pave the way to qualify for the final match against TSC.

But that is indeed a bit difficult to realize considering that Freiburg will be the host in the second round and in the first round Olimpiakos also lost against Freiburg. This will be a decisive match for Freiburg and Olimpiakos to qualify for the last 16 of the European league.
Freiburg will be the favorite when facing Olympiakos. In the first leg, both of them saw how their opponents created opportunities. Olympiakos can play more openly when they play at home. and that created opportunities for them, even though they ultimately lost to Freiburg in the first leg. but in the second leg, Freiburg will make a strategy to overcome the Olympiakos striker. they are quite dangerous.
because currently Freiburg and West Ham have the same points. If you want to qualify directly, Freiburg must avoid conceding and score more goals. West Ham and Freiburg still have the same chance of 1 direct ticket to the round of 16.
Actually, the defeat in the first round ended with a narrow 3-2 win for Freiburg and I actually still predict that Olimpiakos can turn things around in the second round. But indeed, Freiburg is the favorite because it is directly supported by the fans at home and that will make Freiburg even more confident in being able to beat Olimpiakos. A landslide victory must be obtained if they want to secure a ticket to the next round and conceding goals will be Freiburg's focus in the match so that the previous incident does not happen again.
