Before Alonso managed to bring Leverkusen this season to great achievements, of course I am sure that you will never say that Leverkusen is a top club, because indeed all this time Leverkusen is a mediocre team that often ends the season outside the Champions League zone and even since the 120th the club founding, this season is the first time they have won the Bundesliga and with an unbeaten record,   Leverkusen journey certainly shows how a team can be successful even if it does not have strong finances, Discipline, consistency, determination, and hard work are certainly important capital for Leverkusen to achieve glory this season.

Their achievements in the Europa League are also quite fantastic by being able to maintain their consistency until reaching the final round, but unfortunately Atlanta who also have Discipline, Consistency, Determination, and Hard Work to get their first Europa League trophy certainly had an impressive performance in the final match so that Leverkusen was helpless with 3 goals created by Lookman in the match,  Although Leverkusen failed to win the Europa League trophy this season, their performance still deserves appreciation.

Nothing can be maintained or last forever and that was what Bayern Leverkusen should accept after their defeat to Atalanta in the one of their most important matches of the season to have won after a long undefeated run. We shouldn’t fail to acknowledge their brilliancy even after losing the Europa League finals, they won two trophies, which is the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal, which are both important and major trophies for them. They should have learned somethings from their defeat to Atalanta in order to adjust when such opportunity comes for them again. I really love their enthusiasm and determination throughout the season, I hope they can replicate same in the next season where they’ll be participating in the champions league competition which is way tougher than the Europa League they played in the last season.

Leverkusen are top club because they've set one of the longest unbeaten run in European football tournaments this season. Xabi Alonso and his entire squad was able to achieve this record based on discipline, consistency, determination and hardwork. Every member that participated inother to see that Bayer Leverkusen won the Bundesliga trophy deserves accolades. Bayer Leverkusen lost one of the important matches and it was the Europa League match against Atalanta.

It should be a must for Leverkusen to keep its players who have contributed a lot, because i think what Leverkusen needed is to maintain its players, better avoiding the clubs that targetting Leverkusen Players. So if it was happened, i think Bayer Leverkusen will be a solid team for the next season, and i believe that not only me who agree with this, but other people will agree and want to see Leverkusen matches for the next season, especially for the UCL.

The fact that Bayern Leverkusen became the Bundesliga champion after the arrival of Xabi Alanso after last season has nothing to do with luck or anything. I am sure that if Xabi Alanso, namely Bayern Leverkusen, keeps the players who are currently contributing, their fate will not be like Napoli.

The team is at a completely different level in terms of tactics and play, the only loss was the UEFA league final, which could be relegation, but in the previous seasons everything suddenly changes and the Bundesliga championship is won, I think they can win an extra cup next year with this squad. It was a good experience for Xabi Alanso and his players this season.

Leverkusen, who were almost relegated in the Bundesliga, became one of the strongest teams in Xabi Alonso's first season at the club. And then in Xabi Alonso's second season there we saw an important piece of history where Leverkusen managed to win the Bundesliga title without losing. And Leverkusen's only defeat this season was in the European League Final.

Now the most important thing is that Leverkusen cannot lose its players who have contributed a lot this season. So that you can still make an equally good contribution next season. But currently many clubs are targeting Leverkusen players. And this is quite normal. Because it is a common thing that clubs that succeed in becoming champions always make the players in them the most popular players in the transfer market. Hopefully Leverkusen can retain their mainstay players and can still amaze us next season. Be it in the Bundesliga or in the UCL.

I think last season Bayer Leverkusen had one of their favorite seasons and they managed to dominate in the German league winning the league with a good record and the DFB cup and losing ok out in the Europa League finals against Atlanta which happens to be the one and biggest defeat of the team last season, regardless of what they achieved the team learnt their lessons in a bitter way because they never saw that defeat coming and they had a lot of supporters who backed them for victory after the incredible performance they had in the competition right from the knockout stage.

I think they actually underestimated Atalanta team before the game because everyone expected to win and the book markers also picked them as the favorite to win due to their form in all competitions, now I think everything has happened Xabi Alonso and his players has learnt and they are looking forward to defending their league title and they are also getting ready to face the champions league teams next season I believe that's what they are looking forward to now.

Gasperini has been building Atalanta since 2016, he certainly understands the strengths and weaknesses of his team more than anyone else, it is very natural why his tactical quality is able to beat Xabi fleet which is at the peak of its performance. Indeed, there were lots of wild issues that developed after the Europa League final, but I think it was a pure victory. However, Leverkusen should be appreciated, they have kept us all entertained with various surprises this season.

If we look back a little, the habit of Serie A representatives tends to play defensively, in this case Atalanta also implemented this strategy. Xabi gat no other option or tactics to use and he saw it that Atalanta coach has used experience over him which was what made all his effort in vain. From history, Leverkusen is always finding it difficult to win Atalanta and that was what still played out that day, and this is why I will agree with you that Leverkusen never underestimated Atalanta. It is same with Liverpool.

No one can actually dismiss the success of Bayern lavekusen and Xabi Alonso this year but maintaining that success is actually quite the most hardest part, well no doubt that they are playing good football but I think other teams next season will be on their guard as they have already known that this German team is no force to be reckoned with and that's probably what actually happened to them during their finals with Atlanta.

Xabi Alonso has certainly learned a very valuable lesson from his team's defeat in the European League final. Because during this season Xabi Alonso was too complacent about his team's superiority, which had never lost. And that's why Xabi Alonso was caught off guard in the European League final. He probably didn't expect that Atalanta could overwhelm Leverkusen from the start. Leverkusen at that time was too confident and did not consider the opponent's strength carefully. So losing by quite a lot of goals in the final match is rare. But this season Leverkusen, the favorites, suffered this defeat. This defeat will certainly also make Xabi Alonso make more thorough preparations for next season. be it in the Bundesliga or in the UCL. And it could be that this will also make Leverkusen even stronger next season.

I don't think it's about comparing their coaches, because it seems like it would be more appropriate if the comparison was about the overall quality of the team and not just about the coach. After all, in my view Bayer Leverkusen is also a mediocre team that had absolutely no chance of good results before. Therefore, comparing them with Napoli might still be more balanced but indeed, the success factor of the manager certainly makes their difference even greater. Leverkusen this season has been quite impressive and certainly their performance has been really quite surprising, their journey in the European league is actually not too difficult in my opinion because from the beginning they only faced weak teams to be able to reach the semi-finals, the only difficult opponent they faced was of course Roma in my opinion, Atlanta did manage to beat Leverkusen,  But I think it's not because Leverkusen has underestimated Atlanta, because as far as I know so far Alonso  never underestimate about every opponent they face both in the league, DFB Pokal and Europa League.

The European league final is of course a breaker of their positive trend in maintaining an unbeaten record so far, Leverkusen can be said to have appeared quite confident in the match and of course previously they have prepared strategies, techniques and also game schemes that are considered to be able to beat Atlanta, but the opposite happened in the final match and Atlanta who had anticipated Leverkusen game of course performed better in the final, to be honest, I see Leverkusen performance this season is quite great but if we pay attention it seems that indeed their mentality in the final match is very small, the defeat to Atlanta proves that the mentality they have to win is not as big as when ordinary matches are played, besides that in the DFB Pokal Leverkusen only won with a score of 1 goal when facing a Bundesliga 2 team which they should have been able to win with a big score considering the performance and quality of the two teams that is much different.

UCL is the highest level of football competition, surely it will be more difficult than Europa league. Leverkusen won't be the favorite team in UCL, they are only an average team there. Real Madrid and Man City are the favorite teams in UCL, it is interesting to see Leverkusen playing against these teams. It will be a special match if Leverkusen will play against Real Madrid because Xabi Alonso was a Real Madrid player and he is expected to be Real Madrid coach in the future.

Sure, Xabi Alonso must prepare Leverkusen well. Xabi can't make a random experiment anymore, he must ensure to play with the best lineup and the right tactics. In the next season, UCL will use a new format, there will be more matches. Xabi Alonso must rotate the players, he must be ready for the possibility of injured players. I think Leverkusen needs to buy some players before the new season starts.

For the mentality of players, I'm sure Xabi Alonso knows it well. Xabi Alonso is a typical coach who has a good relationship with players and he is a smart coach in motivating the players. And Xabi Alonso has got a big lesson from the defeat in UEL final, he becomes a better coach and be more careful in the next season.

Leverkusen really tried alot this season despite being beaten by Atalanta in the final match.I won't use that game to judge them or to say they underrated Atalanta because before they played that game,they must have checked the record of Atalanta at that period, and saw that they were really in a good form,so that game didn't take them unaware of that they underrated them,but what I see there is that Atalanta watched how they play,the way their tactics is,and worked on it from training,that is why it didn't take them so long for Atalanta to get  two goals in the first half of the game.

What a freaking badass. Look at his work with Leverkusen, guy! First trophy of a century? No coincidence, that is. This is a deep team, hungry club that is playing some really decent football. Napoli comparison? Nah, I'm not buying it. Leverkusen is stable; Xabi is in charge; and they are releasing brilliance from their own academy. This is a long-term team assembled specifically. Not to misunderstand, the Champions League is a different animal entirely. You see, nevertheless, they will surprise many people. Right now Leverkusen is blazing, and I am all on this squad

Dortmund goal was not to win the Bundesliga title this season because Bayer Leverkusen had already secured the position to deal with Bayern Munich. Dortmund struggled to get into the top four due to Leipzig, finishing in 5th position. Dortmund will play in the next Champions League, and it is not only the Bundesliga that provides 5 clubs with tickets for the next Champions League, but also the Seria A. Bayer Leverkusen underestimated Atalanta in that game, since Atalanta wasn't among the top 4 in the Seria standing before Europa League final, Leverkusen may think that it was going to be an easy game to win. No team will like to miss their chances of winning the Europa trophy. I stated on this thread before the match began, that we shouldn't be surprised if Bayer Leverkusen lost against Atalanta because that was the only opportunity Atalanta had to win a trophy this season, and Atalanta ended up surprising us by scoring two goals in the first half to end their unbeaten record. Of course, Xabi Alonso will learn his lesson this season, they shouldn't underrate any of their opponents next season, they should focus on winning their games.

They will try their best to be able to talk a lot in the Champions League, the journey they have taken is so long and they also have very good capital this season. If they can maintain the consistency they have achieved this season, then I am very confident they will be able to do something very good in the Champions League. They will also definitely have more motivation when they are in the Champions League.

Experience is indeed something that is very valuable for a club, but that doesn't mean that clubs that don't have a lot of experience can't show surprises, they can do that, as long as they are willing to work hard and have a good mentality. The champions league has always come with a different play style and it has not been the same approach as used in domestic league game or even lower league games because at this point almost every team is put out only their best and not short of it, so if a team gets there to play using their domestic league paly approach, the results they will be getting is most likely not going to be as that which teams who used a different approach knowing the competitive nature of the ga.e would do.

I don't know if there's a champions league experience record of the team but I know they don't really appear to be experienced in champions league games as they have only but very few appearance, there's an advantage they have now over their previous dorms and appearance and if they can take full advantage of it to the point they even go beyond the height they have attained already, I believe they are going to do more better than they have ever done in the champions league before now, the Europa should have given them a slight idea in to what other leagues outside domestic leagues feel like.
