Although Bayer Leverkusen had impressive results last season, but I personally still cannot say that Bayer Leverkusen is an elite team. Because after all, Bayer Leverkusen also only got good results in one or two previous seasons, and of course there will still be more difficult challenges ahead. Moreover, they will also play in the Champion League next season and of course the competition there will also be more difficult. Therefore, every team will certainly find it difficult to maintain its consistency when it has received more difficult challenges. Moreover, at least Bayer Leverkusen also still have to prepare second-tier players who also have good quality, of course, to make the rotation of players in the next season can work well too.
Where side of your viewed about Bayern Leverkusen is not an elite team? their squad in this season not really expensive and some key players loss the opportunity with their previous team before become regular position and Xabi Alonso success make them become star by winning Bundesliga and DFB Pokal Cup with invisible record. I think has difference result in Europe League if Alonso get much money for signing top players and its most amazing journey as Bayern Leverkusen has lower market values but success beating Bayern Munich who spent much money on transfer window by signing Harry Kane.

For next season, we can't see any potential team will defend their unbeaten record until final match because Bayern Leverkusen will participants in Champion League and the winner Atalanta get qualified to Champion League.

It will be a beautiful moment to watch Xabi Alonso's team in the champions league next season,I know they are aiming higher now,and would love to go for the Champions league trophy, even though they were not lucky enough to win the Europa league after been defeated by Atalanta in the final.Leverkusen went unbeaten in all competitions till the last game in the Europa league, which was that final with Atalanta, but I only saw that it happened so that Xabi Alonso will know that he still needs to improve his team and not rely solely on the squad he has at the moment.Although I know he has a good squad, but he still needs to improve in the squad depth.
In my opinion, the target of becoming champions in the Champions League is too high a target, it's fine if they want that, after all, who doesn't want to become champions, especially since this is the Champions League. However, I just think realistically, even if they are able to reach the top 4, I think it will be a very positive achievement for them, because they are also not used to it or are not a very experienced club in the Champions League. So I wouldn't set or expect such a high target.

This will be a great experience for Leverkusen, they have to show that they can also compete in the Champions League or even the record they achieved this season that they can do in the Champions League, even though that is a very difficult thing. At least they have to try as hard as possible to be able to provide very tight competition in the Champions League. Xabi brings new hope to Leverkusen.

Talking about Leverkusen's potential, they just added Spain's Aleix Garcia on their lineup. The $21M contract may come cheap for them for now if Garcia will provide them his best performance in the field. This addition may support their quest to becoming champion in this sports. Who knows, right? Champions are not being made overnight. So achieving such goal should always be on the works. Sometimes, it is those small things that will assist the team in finally holding such trophy.

Bayern Leverkusen will be playing in the champions league next season as well as Atalanta. They have both showed a very strong performance last season and they both earned a trophy for themselves. In the champions league, where the competition is higher and tougher, they need put extra effort and sacrifice more in order to be at the top and excel together with other big teams. The best always comes first and qualify for the next stage and this is what I expect from them in the champions league as well as their league matches.
The effort of an elite team is awarded with basic principles, coach and the good cooperative players. Trophy is earned by hardwork and consistency, not by lucky odds. Bayer Leverkusen have risen to the top, always ready to face oppositions and we know this will become huge stake for them. Bayer Leverkusen have qualified for the UEFA Champions League and we know where they're heading. They're some sort of elite club and will do everything within their power to ensure they're having straight measures.

I don't see any reason why we will not call a team who finished unbeaten in their league last season,an elite team. What else do you want them to do before they can be recognized as an elite team, they have done something that's not easy to do in the world of football, being unbeaten through out the season, getting to the finals of the Europa league, and staying unbeaten till the final day that Atalanta defeated them,I don't have what to say,but I know that Leverkusen is an elite team now, maybe there weren't before, but now, they are,and with Xabi Alonso, they will remain an elite team.

It is possible that Leverkusen will surprise again when playing in the Champions League, as they have done in the European League and Bundesliga before. All Champions League contestants will of course take into account the bargaining value that Leverkusen has, after all Leverkusen are finalists in the European League and champions of the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal. Xabi Alonso and most of his players are still staying, which indicates that Leverkusen strength is still the same as last season, and could even increase if they recruit several quality players in the transfer window. I predict Leverkusen can reach the quarter finals or semifinals in the Champions League next season.

On the other hand, I agree with what you said, reaching the final and winning the Champions League trophy may sound unrealistic, although it is not impossible to happen. Experience and mentality of playing in the Champions League are the most important factors, Xabi Alonso must be able to instill this in his players. An impressive season has passed, the opportunity to repeat it is very open, it all depends on their preparation to build squad depth. Xabi Alonso cold hands succeeded in leading Leverkusen to become champions, now and next season no one will dare to mock them as Neverkusen, everyone should respect them.

Funny, why does he still think Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta will still be playing in the Europa League next season. LOL! Or maybe, he thinks Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen will finish third in the Champions League group stage next season, and that will make them back in the Europa League in the knockout stage. However, considering their quality at the moment, at least Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen have a good chance of finishing in the top two so that they qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League. But indeed, it does not rule out the possibility that they will also fail, and it depends on how difficult the teams they will face in the Champions League group phase next season. But certainly, I personally will still  doubt the quality and chance of Bayer Leverkusen to be able to get a trophy in European competition but for the Bundesliga trophy, at least Bayer Leverkusen still has a chance there.
Next season Leverkusen will play in the Champions League, but for some reason I still see many posts here that are still discussing Leverkusen's potential and opportunities in the Champions League next season, shouldn't we really discuss Leverkusen in the current thread  Champions League ,  this season Leverkusen has indeed performed very impressively in the Europa League and Bundesliga,  But indeed their performance and consistency must end in Atlanta hand this season, but even so, of course we should give a huge appreciation to Leverkusen's performance this season even though they could not end the season with the championship trophy.

Several big teams such as Nice, Lyon, Manchester United, Tottenham, Roma, Lazio, Frankfurt, Hoffenheim, Bilbao and Sociedad will represent the top 5 European leagues  to compete with other teams that will also play in the Europa League next season, seeing the number of big teams that will play next season, of course the Europa League will again have the potential to present many big matches happening,  So in my opinion, with the new format implemented by UEFA next season, of course potentially we will see many surprises and of course interesting spectacles.

Man got me catch me off guard. Like what the hell was I even reading? Are we progressing forward or backwards? Hopefully he sees this and gets the correction anyways.

In the Bundesliga League Competition,  I don't think I can rate Vincent Kompany ahead of Xabi Alonso until I see what he can do and how he tactically approches a game, how he shapes and how he attacks. Most importantly, how he builds from the back anx how he works with his inverted fullbacks.
Whenever I'm bored, I don go see how he played though during the Championship win with Burnley. Could that be what tjeynsaw to sign him up?
I knew Josep Pep Guardiola had a hand in his move to Bayern Munich anyways.

As for Xabi Alonso, I don't know how far he can go, which is not what matters, it's how well. I'm thinking he will come top of his group in the Champions League group stage same way he did in the European Europa League Competition. Much expectations from him amd his team. Well, we're here to see with our eyes.

Yes we will find it difficult to think that someone will bring the same thing later, maybe the answer is three, get better, get worse or stagnate, so Leverkusen has a chance of not experiencing the same thing next season, but we also don't know what next season will be like because all teams see Leverkusen's play in the previous season and they see Leverkusen's defeat and can judge where Leverkusen's shortcomings are, That is the basic key to beating Leverkusen with Leverkusen's strategy in the past season, but maybe xabi Alonso has a new plan to surprise next season in his own way or he can no longer be as competitive as before, especially in the champions league which is basically tighter competition.
Improvements will definitely occur, especially since they will definitely bring in new players who can fill positions which last season still had weaknesses. No matter how good they are this season with no defeats in the Bundesliga and only 1 defeat in all competitions, they still have to evaluate everything, they must not be satisfied with what they have achieved this season, because if that happens then they might decline.
They have a target of retaining the title in the Bundesliga or other domestic leagues, such as the DFB. Therefore they have to improve themselves to be better.
They also have a new challenge in the Champions League, the competition there is very tight and it is definitely not an easy thing, they have to prepare for it as best as possible.

I never think Leverkusen can match their unbeaten record next season, but everyone can expect logical things about them next season. Xabi Alonso has a big responsibility to maintain his team's performance, this is the most difficult challenge I imagine for him next season.
It is very difficult to maintain the success that has been achieved, every time a new season rolls around there will always be an increase in competition and different performances displayed. However, I still believe Leverkusen will be the toughest competitor for Bayern Munich and Dortmund next season because they still maintain the squad that has won trophies this season and will likely bring in new players to add to the team's strength. Xabi Alonso responsibilities will be even heavier next season because Leverkusen will play in the Champions League, the level of competition which is more competitive than the Europa League means that Leverkusen must perform optimally if they want to survive longer in this most prestigious competition.
For the Bundesliga competition, there is still very big possibility for Leverkusen to be able to maintain its performance next season in the Bundesliga competition with several other teams such as Bayern Munich, Stuttgart which are in good condition and Dortmund.
But unfortunately for the UCL I sure everything will be very different from what we are talking about, the competition is not only about few Bundesliga teams but also several big, strong team from various leagues and this gives curiosity about how the competition will be.
For the Europa League, we have clearly seen how Leverkusen was able to become very strong team and easily reach the final, but if something like this happens in the UCL then it is big surprise which is certainly very satisfying.
It just that imagining who will be the opponents in the UCL competition makes me laugh and think whether Leverkusen will really be able to do all that, in my opinion just being able to reach the semifinals is already big achievement for Leverkusen.

It is indeed quite difficult to maintain the same success in different seasons because every club will definitely make player changes, change strategies because they change coaches so that the competition will be even fiercer, Leverkusen still believes in Xabi Alonso's abilities while other rivals such as Bayern Munich Dortmund change coaches and we don't know. how the performance of these two clubs next season will be better or worse but what is clear for Leverkusen I believe this club will still perform well under the leadership of Xabi Alonso. This coach is still staying at the club which means he still wants to compete in the title race.

Xabi Alonso has a tougher challenge for next season because he has brought Leverkusen to the Champions League level, although this will not dampen Xabi Alonso's mentality in providing competitive competition, but it is not an easy task for Xabi Alonso because the Champions League is filled with top clubs from another league so Xabi Alonso needs to work very hard because this is his first experience as a coach for the biggest competition in Europe and he will try hard to improve the performance of his players so that they are not easily beaten.

Something seem to be missing out with our expectations for Leverkusen and Atlanta, they are going to be in a totally different league from that where they did played last season, it's very possible they will put in all the extra efforts and all that you did mentioned and they still not go too far enough in the league because they may be lacking in experience, in the champions league beyond just your strength and performance, at some points you may actually need your experience to be able to get over certain points in the champions league as it's not like the regular domestic leagues.

If all they are able to get from this champions league is the experience a d probably are hoping to be able to get it right in the next, it's a fair achievement for me because they can actually get to win their domestic league or trying to finish at top four in their domestic league so they will be opportuned to come back in the champions league by next season and that will not be seen as any less of an idea because they will be returning to the champions league experienced for the second time in a row, rather than just rushing to want to win at first trial and crash at group stage without proper experience

I don't think Bayer Leverkusen will going to struggle next season to perform well to lift the trophy, because we have seen what happened this season that made  them unbeatable because of their talented players they have in the team to beat many teams.

I believe, those players are still willing to remain in Bayer Leverkusen till next season, and they are going to make next season difficult for Atalanta and other teams in the UEFA Europa league competition.

I have seen many teams trying to add new players to make next season difficult for Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta that won the trophy this season, but Bayer Leverkusen will not going to miss the trophy next season.

What are y'all saying though?  Smiley Bayern Leverkusen wouldn't be playing the European Europa League Competition no more next season. Winning the German Bundesliga gave them a direct ticket to the Champions League Competition, I don't know how this information came about bit it is not correct.

Atalanta would also be directly into the Champions League Competition, they finished in the top five giving them a direct ticket to the Champions League Competition as well.

And furthermore, those clubs adding players up has got zero Competition with Bayern Leverkusen, don't see it that way. They're simply equipping themselves ahead of a new season and more Competitions
Bayern Leverkusen are also doing the same so they'll have enough depth. They'll be selling out Jonathan Tah as he has been recently linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

The final teams of UEFA Europe League this season Atalanta and Bayern Leverkusen will be playing in UEFA Champion League next season but not close the opportunity if failed reach knock out round and finish at 3rd standings place both of them will relegated for playing in UEFA Europe League playoff round. In this season between Bayern Leverkusen and Atalanta are playing well in UEFA Europe League although Bayern Leverkusen had loss in the final match but since phase round group Leverkusen only got one loss against Atalanta.

The Serie A teams Atalanta make impressive performance in Europe League match by eliminating top candidate team Liverpool as the winner potential teams in quarter final, their shocking performance not stop yet after success defeating Bayern Leverkusen who had impressive record with unbeaten this season after becoming the Bundesliga winner but Atalanta make it difference after winning over 3-0.
I am expected with both teams playing well when participating in Champion League next season and reach the higher round until quarter final or semifinal phase.

Bayern Leverkusen’s performance in the last season is not enough prove to make them win the league title again for the second time in a row. They have to put up that same performance or more of that performance in order to be successful like the last season. I have seen some other teams that played well in their first season and fumbled totally in their second season which make them not to be dominant throughout the seasons. You need consistency, determination and hardwork to always be at the winning side in this competition. If you’re not, you’ll become worthless just after the first season that you’ve dominated and will be termed as luck.

Bayern Leverkusen should not even try to do that because they will lose relevancy without those key players by next season. A lot is expected from them after a brilliant season from them in the just concluded season. They need all of their key players and even more in order to be at their best next season also. Xabi Alonso staying back with them should help convince this players that have trained under him for up to a season and bringing out the best in them. He shouldn’t gamble it and allow them to go thinking that he’ll get a good replacement for them. If he continues with this current Bayern Leverkusen squad, I feel he’ll excel better in the next season than he did in the first season with them.

A lot of people have high hopes in them and they believe with Xabi Alonso staying with them for the next season, they won’t be less of their performance as they did in the first season but rather improved in all aspect as they prepare to participate in the champions league which is the most competitive of all competitions they will be playing in next season. Their undefeated run has given them an upper hand and they should utilize it very well as teams will be more sceptical playing with them from next season.
Leverkusen will certainly have great difficulty repeating the same achievements as before. Competition in the Bundesliga is expected to increase after Bayern Munich and Dortmund start the new season, as well as other matches in Europe. Leverkusen will play in the Champions League, but they will probably be thrown into the Europa League if they fail in the group stages. They will never be the same even if Xavi Alonso will try his best, but still have a good chance.

I never think Leverkusen can match their unbeaten record next season, but everyone can expect logical things about them next season. Xabi Alonso has a big responsibility to maintain his team's performance, this is the most difficult challenge I imagine for him next season.

Well, I think that things with Leverkusen are no longer about proving that they have to achieve the same objectives, I think that Xabi Alonso's main objective is clear, first, to Continue winning the Bundesliga for the second time in a Row, he will do what he has in his hands, no matter how much Bayern and Dortmund prepare, I think that Xabi will go for Everything with the UCL, I don't think they will be eliminated in the first round and much less fall in the Europa League, I think that now they will go for great achievements, being undefeated is a thing of the past, they have already Shown that they are the best, it doesn't matter that they lost a game in the Europa League, for me they are Still the best.
