Due to their wonderful performance and consistency in all their matches in Bundesliga and in Europa games, made everyone to believe that they are capable of winning Atalanta who was underestimated by Leverkusen. Just the way Liverpool underestimated Atalanta and received a shock, is the same way Leverkusen underestimated them and the same thing happened to them

Atalanta coach is a man with so much wisdom in the sense that, he used his second choice players in Coppa Italia against Juventus and rested his key players, he only brought them in the second half to keep them fit and from fatigue, because he knows that match is not as important to him as the Europa finals. While Xabi Alonso have been using his first squad in all matches, which made it more easy for their opponents to study their game pattern and know their weak points. While Leverkusen was feeling big with their unbeaten record which made them not to be careful with Atalanta.

No one believed Leverkusen could be beaten like that in the final because Atalanta were deemed incapable of doing so. Atalanta, who were considered to have little chance of winning, were most likely considered to have lost by observers and many others before the match. However, I have mentioned these concerns even though many people seem to disagree, so I was never surprised by Leverkusen's failure to win the Europa League title this season.

I really acknowledge the great season that Leverkusen has had this season. Their unbeaten record is very difficult for any team to match, in fact I can say that this record will remain for many seasons to come without a single team being able to break it. Going undefeated in a season in a league is the hardest thing I can imagine, especially when there is a team as dominant in the league as Bayern Munich.

In this match, Leverkusen may have thought that their opponent Atalanta was not too strong to beat them easily, for which they themselves lost. Bayran Leverkusen may have taken the match against Atalanta in a normal way, but they should have played against the opposition with a strong father and a strong attack against them. Although the match ended with a three-goal margin and Leverkusen lost as the stronger team, they have performed well enough this season, but their tactics have not been good in the last stages. But since Leverkusen is in the best form this season, they will have the opportunity to play in the Champions League for the next season and if they can compete well, they will definitely enter the Champions League at a good stage. But here we must understand that the biggest teams compete in the Champions League, so they have to compete with teams like Manchester City, Real Madrid. In that case, if Leverkusen continues with this performance, they will never be able to enter the Champions League, so they will have to pay more attention to their game.

This disappointment is not going to be all that easy for Leverkusen because I do not think that they will be here for a long time. The thing about Europa is that if you are too good then you are usually at UCL, and for example Leverkusen will be at UCL because they won their league. If you drop from UCL then you are usually not the best team in the world, and could end up losing.

Reaching to Europa finals with 50-51 unbeaten games means that it is one of the rarest things the history of football has ever seen. If you are a 50+ games unbeaten team, then you are usually at UCL. So all in all, this type of chance will probably never hit Leverkusen again and they know this. This is why it is a very upsetting game and I bet that they rather lose like 3-4 more games (whatever helps them stay champions at bundesliga) at league instead of lose this one game.

Firstly, congratulation for Gasperini success winning his first trophy as manager career and specially success stopping the unbeaten trend of Bayern Leverkusen reach 51 matches all competition. Unexpected result exactly Atalanta easily winning over 3-0 against most favorite team will be the Europe League winner in this season. But football has many unpredictable result and most of team has difference perform between domestic league and final match atmosphere.
Atalanta show us how their motivate success defeating top and favorite team has unbeaten record, for next season Atalanta will take part in Champion League appearance and looking will get consistency such as in Europe League or not.

I really like Atalanta's playing style as you said when the match started. Atalanta was more relaxed and read Leverkusen's movements more often.
I was very surprised at how well Atalanta was able to always know how the ball would go when a Leverkusen player controlled the ball and Atalanta also looked more confident even though they didn't attack too much, but if when Leverkusen gave them a little chance, Atalanta attacked very quickly and made Leverkusen's defense become very difficult.

For Ademola Lookman, after successfully helping Atalanta lift the UEL trophy, he was always given positive praise and this was a great experience for him.
I saw how he played and I admired the player whose skills made Leverkusen's defense unable to block him.

The final is a very tough game for them; they didn't have the luck against Atalanta, but that is football. No one expects them to upset Leverkusen in the final because their form is so credible and only one team can finish them with one player:D. scored a Hart Trick against them. Xabi Alonso was very weak despite all of his efforts to win the Europa League, but they eventually defeated him. Let's see next season if he can get the opportunity to win the league and the Champions League, as he missed out this season and can have luck next season to win the trophy. Xabi maintained an excellent record this season, although Atlanta refused to leave  the competition for them, because i see the seriousness against atalenta in the match but i still beleave levenkusen will do well in the second half, but they fail to perform even in the sencond half with all there performance they end in a lose that is a very sad story for xabi alonso this season without winning the europa league.

Atalanta just punch in the correct time, they do a similar game to the one they made against Liverpool, very simialr, they dont play so much with the ball but they go in fast speed into forwards transitions and PUMP!, they do the same against Liverpool, you can check it in the ball percentage.

Masterclass from Ginapiero Gasperini an his boys, also for taht you need a player in a state of grace, like Ademola Lookman was.

The match between Leverkusen and Atalanta was already foreseen to be competitive, but Leverkusen got so vulnerable at the earliest moment of the game after the first goal was netted. Despite expectations for Leverkusen to bounce back and exert pressure on Atalanta, they got disorganized, allowing Lookman to exploit gaps and secure a crucial goal for Atalanta. This initial setback seemed to cost Leverkusen dearly, seen in Xabi's panic as they were behind by two goals before the injury time. The mounting pressure from Atalanta increased Leverkusen's struggles, giving them the ability to take control of the match.

 Leverkusen has shown resilience in previous matches by series of comebacks, their efforts were broken and condemned by Atalanta's solid defense and Lookman's three winning goals in the game. Leverkusen's performance throughout the match was lacking in several areas with their attempts to outrun Atalanta's defense proving ineffective. The just were unable to break through Atalanta's resilience and it was a part of the numerous challenges they faced and it also contributed to their defeat. Despite the disappointment, Xabi's efforts to lead Leverkusen to this stage should be appreciated and honored too.

 In conclusion, Atalanta's victory over Leverkusen was a significant achievement, breaking Leverkusen's unbeaten record and demonstrating their feats on the field. Leverkusen's lackings in the match gave them areas for improvement, particularly in maintaining composure under pressure and breaking through resistive defenses. While the defeat is a huge loss, it's not the end for Leverkusen, and they can use this experience to regroup, learn, and come back stronger in future matches. Congratulations to Atalanta for their well-deserved victory, and for proving themselves as a formidable opponent throughout the match. Leverkusen definitely should be looking forward to their DFB pokal encounter and I'm certain it'd be an easy win for them. There and then they'd be crowned with two trophies.

I thought the match against Bayer Leverkusen would be a tough test for Atalanta, but the opposite of what we thought happened in that match. The harder Atalanta prepared, the easier the test was for them, meaning that they easily overcame the hurdles of the Europa League tournament final.  Bayer Leverkusen has had the best performance in their history this season, so we say that this team might be a good contender in the Champions League next season. Real Madrid and Manchester City are among the other league teams but with their performance in the final, it seems foolish to expect anything better from this team in the Champions League. Bayer Leverkusen have performed brilliantly all season so they deserve our welcome.

Leverkusen has created an extraordinary record in this one season, able to win the bundesliga and also unbeaten certainly not an easy thing to do by many teams even by rich teams, currently Leverkusen has indeed failed to win the Europa League trophy and also maintain their unbeaten record, but even so of course this season we really enjoy what Leverkusen has presented both in the league and Europa League,  The defeat to Atlanta certainly broke Leverkusen positive trend this season but that does not mean fans have to forget all of Alonso achievements this season.

The defeat to Atlanta has cost Leverkusen the opportunity to win the treble winner this season, the three goals created by Lookman in the final match certainly surprised us because indeed Leverkusen performance in the game was not like in their previous matches, but despite their failure in the Europa League this season, of course I am quite curious how good they will be next season,  Especially next season we will see Leverkusen competing in the Champions League which is notabe tighter than the Europa League.

They actually beat more important teams this season, but Atalanta concentrated more on the final match.  They showed us this throughout the match, they had a great preparation phase. It seems like they researched Leverkusen's weakest points and found them. Leverkusen did not expect this, and the fact that they tasted defeat after 51 matches reminded everyone that they were actually a beatable team. They really wanted to end the season with 3 trophies, but this is now impossible. They will take part in the UCL next year and will want to show their real strength there. Congratulations Gasperini and his students. A magnificent victory.

This could have been the most important success for Bayer Leverkusen, but their undefeated streak ended and they lost the cup. Two sad results came together. It's a sad week for them. However, if we look at the whole season, it was a great season and they only had 1 defeat. We need to congratulate Atalanta and Lookman. It was very difficult to beat this Leverkusen

I was honestly very surprised to see this result from Leverkusen. I thought there was no way they were going to lose this match let alone lose this match so convincingly. And I thought that because of the performance they have shown throughout this season. Now I think maybe we all underestimated Atalanta a lot. Ademola Lookman the Clash of Kings showed an extraordinary performance.

I also feel like Leverkusen might have done the same thing as well. Because I think the outcome should have been better for them from this match. They had a great chance of winning all the things that they could in this season. But they have failed. without his hat-trick Atalanta will never be able to break Leverkusen's morality.

I was getting a feeling that one of two things are definitely going to happen. Either they are going to not be able to win all the finals, or they are not going to be able to maintain 0 losses in the Bundesliga. But still, I think the things that they have achieved in this season are really good. they obviously already have made history. It just could be better.

Yea definitely they are among the team to watched especially from their progression since Xabi Alonso took over 2 seasons back, improving well from seasons to season but I don`t think they will be able to keep same winning streak next season especially in the Champions league while also I don`t see them as a contender for it but I might be so much wrong and suprisingly they will make it to the semi or finals though I think they might make it to the quater finals.


The migthy Sevilla who when it comes to to the Europa league, plays alot differently no matter bad the season is going for them, finally fell off this season which was one of the biggest shock to me this season, when I look the league table or their match stat I`m still perplexed on what was the problem though I hope also they can make it to Europa qualification this coming season, though they have to step up on everything especially from the fact that La Liga is now becoming more competitive than ever.

With the same coach, it will have different effects in different seasons. Currently, Alonso has succeeded in making an unbeaten record in one season in the Bundesliga, maybe not next season. Competing in the UCL is a new challenge for Alonso and Leverkusen players, they need better preparation than this season. Is it as good as now? This will be the question of all football fans. Everyone is waiting for Leverkusen to play next season.

The 3 goals was secured by one player lookman, who was the man of the game to make Atalanta to lift UEFA Europa league trophy because they prepared for it and they make it happen at the end of the tournament to make their fans happy all over the world.

Bayer Leverkusen made many mistakes in this final game, that made them not to secure a single goal from the final game because their defensive was not encouraging the strikes to do well in the front and the 3 goals Atalanta player scored,  it show how weak the defenders was through out the game that made them to miss the UEFA Europa league trophy.

Now that the tournament has come to an end for unbearable team to loss the trophy, I believe they will going to correct those mistakes next season to make their fans happy.

You remind me of Sevilla, they are one of the teams that would dominate the European League if they were here, but this season they are in the Champions League and they failed miserably even though they were only able to be in the European League, yes they had to be eliminated from all competitions after they became the team at the bottom of the final standings of the Champions League group stage. It's a shame really, because if they were here maybe they would be able to talk a lot considering they are used to it and can even prove themselves when they are in the Europa League.
This season they were unable to show anything that could be expected, even in La Liga itself they were also thrown to the bottom of the table, and even at the start of the season they also had difficulty finding their best game. I hope that next season I can see them like the Sevilla I saw before, or in other words they can compete at the top again.

It was a Europa League season without Sevilla and a different winner as a result. I'm mentioning Sevilla's name because you know how dominant they have been in this tournament for the last ten years.  

But now they are far away from that level. They aren't joining any tournament next season. It is sad to see them in this condition at the same time though.    They dropped in power so sharply in such a short time and they still can't find a solution to that. I would like to see Sevilla at their usual level in the near future no matter how much I like to see different champions in the Europa League. Because Sevilla are also adding a really nice level of excitement to the tournament.

Next season, Bayer Leverkusen will have an even greater league than this season, namely the Champions League through the Bundesliga, which Leverkusen won this season. This will be quite interesting for many people to wait and watch because in the Champions League there are many teams that are more challenging and also stronger than the teams in the European League. I am also quite amazed at the achievements that Leverkusen has made this season in the two leagues they are playing in this season and this will certainly provide a more mature readiness for Leverkusen when they take on the Champions League next season.
