Such a performance from Leverkusen's side is truly disappointing as a team that went undefeated to win the title and lost in important matches such as the final of the Europa League tournament where they won against other big opponents including Bayern Munich. Their poor performance in one match has lost the quality of a good performance in the entire season. Leverkusen were the favorites for the Europa League tournament this season but despite being the favourites, their performance has let us down. I bet for Leverkusen in the final match and I was disappointed to lose the bet. I am not only disappointed to lose the bet but also disappointed with their 90 minutes result in the overall final match as their result could have been different.
Talking about the bets i think it's not only you who lost because i think majority the bettors have already to lost their money too this because people know Leverkusen is the favourite in this competition since the beginning of season and their performance also very fantastic because on group stages Leverkusen can able to win all of the matches and at round of 16 too Leverkusen can able to beat Qarabag dramatially and even in the semifinal Leverkusen can made epic comeback from Roma which makes they can eliminate Roma so i think it's normal if you were bet for Leverkusen because they are strong candidate to gets the trophy from this competition

Atalanta indeed can surprised us because previously their status is only dark horses team and nobody thought they can ended this tournament as the champion besides that i am sure almost every people at here predict Leverkusen will be able to overcomes them because compared to them Leverkusen performance during this season is more impressive but Atalanta can reserved the situation and they can make a history even the final scores is really unexpected because Atalanta can able to win with big scores

I was always one of the guys here who dont fully back Bayern Leverkusen in this tournament, in the last time i start to back them a litle bit more because they were showing a unique habilty to scape from every dificult situation, but also yesterday in this thread i said, for me it was super high odds 4.33 for Atalanta to win, and you see Atalanta oblited LEverkusen with a Lookman out of this world yesterday.

If you're confident that Atalanta will win, then it would be great if you bet on Atalanta in that final match yesterday. But, if you're just predicting it without betting, then at least you'll probably still regret it as well because you missed out on a very good chance to make money on your bet in such an exciting match. Although, I am a person who fully supports Bayer Leverkusen to win and obviously,  I also still choose Bayer Leverkusen to win in my bets. But unfortunately, Bayer Leverkusen was completely destroyed in the final because Bayer Leverkusen lost 3-0 but even so, I also still chose another option and sure enough, even though I only chose the over 2.5 goals option, but I still got my bet.

I doubt if he was so confident that Atalanta will win because when you think about Bayern Leverkusen unbeaten run everyone was just feeling they will maintain it that way in the Europa league finals so when Atalanta scored two goals before halftime, people were astonished and were even thinking Leverkusen will equalize in the second half like people believed in the ability of Leverkusen but when the third goal was scored everywhere was quiet because the time was late already.

Your choice of placing a bet using that option of over 2.5 is good because had it been you used because you supported Bayern Leverkusen and bet on them to win you would have lost the bet so you choosed a nice option there.

The match actually have some historic significance as I have come to learn. First, it marked the first major trophy of Gian Piero Gasperini in his coaching career. Second, it marked the first defeat of Xabi Alonso and Bayern Leverkusen in all competitions this season. If these are not historic enough, then I don't seem to know what will qualify as historic.

From the beginning of the match until the end, the German side were outplayed and reduced to an ordinary team, far from the champions that humiliated giants like Bayern Munic and As Roma. In the usual football fans banters, Bayern Leverkusen players were taunted to have had too much beer in the celebration of their Bundesliga trophy celebration, the reason they couldn't play well as expected. Well, that is the fun of the game.... there will always be a winner.
How do the Leverkusen players feel when they havent lost in over 50 games and then in such an important game, that must be strange. They could have won 3 titles this year. So the German championship, the Europa League and the German DFB Cup. They must be extremely disappointed. In 2 days they play in the German DFB Cup and they will win that, so thats my guess. On the other way, the Italians were simply the better team, they did very well and won the game 3:0, it was not a close result. And the way you write it is a big trophy for the club.

This is crazy, you place an over goal bet when everyone knows that Leverkusen is the favorite. However, this betting option reminds us that even betting on the top team will not make you win overall and I really appreciate your betting choice.

Initially I wanted to bet on this final match but it didn't happen because there was a sudden rush so I had to miss this match. However, no one expected Leverkusen to be humiliated like this by Atalanta and everyone's expectations were shattered by Atalanta's extraordinary performance. With this, I also know that this unstoppable victory sometimes stops when I meet the right opponent.

For yesterday's game, I just knew Leverkusen wasn't unbeatable. I knew they were good and in good form but Atalanta was also a very good team in very good form too. They picked form late that's why they are 5th on their league table, but now they're in top form.
My biggest doubt for Leverkusen was that they've not met any top team aside from Bayern Munich in the league and Bayern Munich are not in the best of form right now.

I must admit I didn't expect that scoreline, even though my money was in Atalanta to win. I expected the scoreline to be like 2-1 or 1-1. Atalanta really surprised me yesterday. People still had hope that Leverkusen would make a comeback when it was 2-0, but I didn't. I knew the game was over for Leverkusen.
Congratulations to Atalanta on winning the Europa League.
Atalanta managed to surprise us again and this time the victory made them champions. This is how Bayer's winning streak ended, 51 matches without a loss is a lot, but this loss became very painful for Alonso. I don’t know what is more important for Bayer: winning the Bundesliga or the EL final, perhaps the first is more important, but why separate the importance if there was a desire to win both tournaments. Atalanta beat Bayer in all respects in the final, it was another great match, somewhat similar to their victory over Liverpool.
Atalanta started to attract the attention of many people when they were able to beat Liverpool, since then I have had a different assessment of Gian Piero Gasperini's troops. The collective style of play combined with a strong Italian-style defense line was able to make opponents panic. Liverpool are known for having above average abilities, but they have to admit that greatness. Likewise, Alonso was also shocked by the performance shown by Atalanta, so he failed to make his troops develop and had to bow down due to being bombarded with 3-0. Atalanta was truly extraordinary and was able to break Bayer Leverkusen's record.

4.33 odds was a really good odds. Until the last moment of the match, I thought Bayern Leverkusen could come back because, as you know, they had an unbeaten record this season, they could always come back after falling behind in the match, but this time it did not happen.

Atalanta played very aggressively in the match and they managed to eliminate Bayern Leverkusen by making a lot of contact in the midfield. Regarding the goal, Lookman took on that task and did what was necessary. The goals he scored were not normal goals, they were really good goals.

I was the opposite, as I've always wanted these Bayern Leverkusen side to make and set history, they was suppose to look at how Juventus handled them during Copa Italia, but they was not compact unlike Juventus. They Bayern Leverkusen was too porous with them defense and I was surprised no substitution cake in to back that up. Ademola Lookman made good use of all the chances he had.

So much was expected from Bayern Leverkusen but they messed things up completely. Lookman was buzzing last night after double failures from the other finals, he single handedly won them the game yesterday.
People are now rooting for him to win the African best player award, bit I feel like Sebastian Haller deserves it, who is àlso in the Champions League Competition Finals.

We were silent because we always favored Leverkusen but lost last night so we're ashamed of our friends who chose Atalanta.

It's unexplainable how a team that's so good at not losing can lose a final, but this is football that sometimes surprises people, so Serie A representatives really often finish on top and Atalanta did.

Don't ask about this, we lost.
It's really disappointing to see the Leverkusen game last night.

That the underdogs won is a bit strange. Grin

Yes, that's right hehehe

Just yesterday I made the following post:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.64111692

In my own words  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy:
Quote
"I see Leverkusen's strength as something almost impossible to contain at the moment, even more so in the final"

Soccer really does surprise you and that's what makes it so incredible to watch, especially decisive games

The match went very surprising for most people without doubt. It was like most of the world were waiting for Leverkusen to win.  Grin  I guess nobody expected them to play this poorly - including me.  Tongue

I didn't like Xabi Alonso's tactical preferences in this match. It didn't fit a coach like him who had a 51-match unbeaten series. Gasperini looked well-prepared against their tough opponent though. His players performed fearlessly.  Smiley

By the way while it was 2-0 I still couldn't be sure of Atalanta. You know the Roma comeback. But Lookman's completing a hat-trick by a great goal sealed the deal! Completely deserved win and a marvelous effort by Lookman.  Wink
People really miss their prediction in this final game that happened between Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen, because they thought unbearable team will use that advantage to secure goals that will make them to lift the trophy, but it was a shocked that they couldn't score a single goal from the game.

Well, Bayer Leverkusen coach tried by bringing the team to this final game, which he need to be celebrated for that but Atalanta coach really understand the Bayer Leverkusen strategy that made his players never to allowed their strikers to secure a goal from the game.

The 2 goals was secure by one player lookman before he added another goal to make it 3:0 to beat Bayer Leverkusen in the final game, which is a big disgrace to Bayer Leverkusen fans that came for far and near to celebrate with Bayer Leverkusen.

Lookman played a very spectacular game yesterday which he was able to break many records. Amongst them was that, he is the first player to score an hatrick in an European final and also the first African player to have done that. With his impressive performance yesterday, he is now heavily rooted for the award of best African player of the year after also reaching the finals of the African Cup of Nations early this year. Atalanta have won their only trophy for this season and with this award, they now have an automatic ticket into the champions league next season. They will meet with their likes and more competitive teams there, hopefully they can be able to farewell and come out victorious from the first stage of the competition before reaching the knockout stages. Nothing lasts forever and Atalanta and put an end to the unbeaten run of Bayern Leverkusen in a skilful way and also a big defeat to them in a final which they were never expecting or saw it coming.

The sweetest part about the match was that Atalanta didn't relent in their attack against their opponents and didn't give space for any mistakes else they would have lost their clean sheet. You know, this win makes me remember how they thrashed Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp's men didn't expect it.
Football is a game of surprises and anything can happen but sometimes too how the outcome of a game will go depends on the effort put in by the players and I'd say Atalanta really put in a great effort in the game.
Yes, almost everyone couldn't believe the result of a match like that and Atalanta was really able to work their magic to beat Bayer Leverkusen. Yes, if we refer to Atalanta's match against Liverpool, maybe we shouldn't underestimate them, their game was really impressive and difficult to predict with the scheme implemented by Gasperini. The effect of Leverkusen's defeat may be because they are still lulled by their achievements in the Bundesliga and are too euphoric so they don't maximize their time during training and monitoring Atalanta's tactics, perhaps Alonso is very aware of that. Now Leverkusen only needs to focus on the final match of the DFB Pokal, that is their last chance to achieve double winners this season. And the defeat to Atalanta should be a valuable lesson for Alonso.
Football terms are sometimes very difficult to predict or predict. Bayer Leverkusen experienced the first defeat and at the same time a humiliating defeat in the final, which really surprised many parties, especially among loyal supporters, but the result cannot be changed, even though Bayer Leverkusen holds possession of the ball.  but that doesn't mean that Atalanta's luck or achievements performed well in that match, Atalanta is a club from Italy where the league is famous for its very strong defensive style so it is very clear that Bayer Leverkusen had problems when they met a top club from Italy, of course an achievement  what was extraordinary from Gian Piero Gasperini's men who were able to win this match with a surprising score of 3-0.

I'm still in Shock. Can't believe the score. How can it be? A team that has not lost even to the finalist of Champions league. Leverkusen lost a golden chance to clinch the title of Europa league. Next season they'll be playing the champions league, where they'd have no chances against the top teams. It was the first one for Atlanta too and they'll be confident and pumped up for the next season. Most importantly, the finals are crucial 90 minutes where anything can happen if you performed better than your opponent.
Not only I have lost my bet, I've lost my confidence and any hope in football prediction.
It's not just you who are shocked, my friend, I think other people also feel that way when they see Bayer Leverkusen's performance last night. I also can't stop thinking that Bayer Leverkusen was beaten by Atalanta with a score that was hard to believe even though everyone had their hopes on Bayer Leverkusen last night, they had good odds. convincing enough to make a profit, but whatever happens at UEL, we can't complain, it has happened. I congratulate Atalanta for winning the UEL title this season, which is an extraordinary achievement for them, they deserve it because of their hard work so far.

For Bayer Leverkusen, this was their first defeat this season and they failed to achieve an unbeaten record in one season, but their performance so far this season was also very good, but unfortunately they did not take advantage of opportunities when there were only 2 games remaining and Bayer failed to win the Treble.

It's hard to believe, after going unbeaten for 51 games, the 52 games to play which is the final of the Europa League, Bayern Leverkusen loses to Atalanta. That's quite a big heartbreak for Bayern Leverkusen teams, fans, and even gamblers who must have bet and predicted a straight win for Bayern Leverkusen against Atalanta, and they lost to it.
However, the 3-0 loss to Bayern Leverkusen was surprising and many people were shocked by how Bayern Leverkusen let the Europa League trophy slip away from their hands on the final day.
This is really very hard to believe. Leverkusen never lose but yesterday they lost at the wrong time. This is really painful for everyone. Even though I am not a Leverkusen fan, I was heartbroken because I thought I would witness history where Leverkusen became the first team, at least in Europe, to have an unbeaten record in all competitions in one season. Many people are talking about an invincible treble and Leverkusen only needs 2 more wins. I know the match against Atalanta is not an easy match but I didn't expect Atalanta to appear fantastic that night.

Gian Piero Gasperini was extraordinary. The tactics implemented on the final night were truly effective. Leverkusen is used to playing by placing many players in the attacking or defensive phase. And Gasperini used extreme man-to-man marking tactics where every Atalanta player really put pressure on the Leverkusen players. Leverkusen dominated the match but we know the Italian team is the team with the best defense. Once again respect and congratulations to Gasperini on the first trophy of his career.

Well, even though Bayer Leverkusen finally suffered their first defeat this season, but it is still true that Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta managed to make great history this season. I think that the defeat suffered by Bayer Leverkusen in this final match will at least not make their undefeated achievement disappear. Because of course, with Bayer Leverkusen's success without losing throughout the season in all competitions and only losing in the Europa League final, at least Bayer Leverkusen managed to has impressive results this season. So yes, the final match between Atalanta v Bayer Leverkusen really became a new history in football this season, because they managed to do the best for the team's history and that was great.
Throughout the season Leverkusen were able to continue to create their unbeaten record, but unfortunately when they only needed two more wins to make their unbeaten record to 53, they had to be stopped by Atlanta who had not been the favorite team in the europa league, the defeat of Atlanta of course has broken the record they have created so far, although we still have to appreciate all the achievements they have achieved this season, in my opinion Leverkusen is still the best team this season in the top 5 European leagues even though they failed to win the European League trophy, of course their failure in the final match of course it won't make us forget the record of 51 match unbeaten achieved by Leverkusen this season.

We have no doubts about the comeback that Leverkusen has been carrying out so far, in fact we all hope their can do it in the last minutes of yesterday final match, but the persistence of the Atlanta players is indeed supported by the solid game tactics shown by Atlanta in that match making Leverkusen helpless throughout the match,  In my opinion, currently Leverkusen performance in playing in a match is quite good, but their mentality has not been tested when they have to play in tight matches like the European League final this season.

What a match!! Wow! Atalanta become the first Italian team to win the Europa league competition and the first to dent the record of Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen in their 52 game unbeaten run and to say the fans are excited is an understatement. This Atalanta side have never won any title since they were promoted into the Serie A and what a way to establish themselves.
At this rate, even of they finish fifth in their league, they have the assurance that they have a slot in the champions league next season.
It's not a fun thing to lose in the final after going strong throughout the season but Bayer Leverkusen will console themselves that they were beaten by an equally formidable side like Atalanta.

I'm sure many people thought Leverkusen would win, including me, but in the early minutes I felt Leverkusen appeared nervous, it looked like they weren't really focused on the match, until Lookman was able to appear from behind suddenly and welcome the ball which could ultimately be a first goal for Atalanta, I thought Leverkusen would put more pressure on Atalanta but in reality it wasn't until the first half that Leverkusen was two goals behind. Of course, with Leverkusen already two goals behind, Xabi panicked. And also, in my opinion, here Leverkusen is more pressured by Atalanta.

and I think Leverkusen can turn things around by making a comeback like previous matches that happened like this, they were behind in the first half but they could turn things around in the second half. However, it turned out that in the second half Lookman scored another goal in the 76th minute with a strong left foot kick which allowed Atalanta to add another goal. and indeed I think Leverkusen's performance last night was a mess, they could barely penetrate Atalanta's defense. And I congratulate Atalanta on the victory, for Xabi himself I don't think this is the end of everything, he has tried well to be able to bring Leverkusen to this point. Once again congratulations to Atalanta. Because Atalanta is a team that can beat Leverkusen throughout Leverkusen's matches and has broken Leverkusen's unbeaten record.
The match between Leverkusen and Atalanta was indeed anticipated to be competitive, but Leverkusen's early nervousness seemed to affect their performance. Despite expectations for Leverkusen to exert pressure on Atalanta, they appeared disorganized, allowing Lookman to exploit gaps and secure a crucial goal for Atalanta. This initial setback seemed to cost Leverkusen dearly, seen in Xabi's panic as they were behind by two goals in the first half. The mounting pressure from Atalanta further compounded Leverkusen's struggles, giving them the ability to take control over the match.

While Leverkusen has shown resilience in previous matches by series of comebacks, their efforts were thwarted by Atalanta's solid defense and Lookman's second goal in the 76th minute. Leverkusen's performance throughout the match was lacking in several areas with their attempts to breach Atalanta's defense proving ineffective. The inability to break through Atalanta's resilience showed the challenges Leverkusen faced and also contributed to their defeat. Despite the disappointment, Xabi's efforts to lead Leverkusen to this stage shouldn't be overlooked, and the defeat serves as a learning opportunity for the team.

In conclusion, Atalanta's victory over Leverkusen marks a significant achievement, breaking Leverkusen's unbeaten record and demonstrating their feats on the field. Leverkusen's shortcomings in the match Gabe them areas for improvement, particularly in maintaining composure under pressure and breaking through resistive defenses. While the defeat is a setback, it's not the end for Leverkusen, and they can use this experience to regroup, learn, and come back stronger in future matches. Congratulations to Atalanta for their well-deserved victory, and for proving themselves as a formidable opponent throughout the match.
