So, we'll have the Europa League matches group stage from this week. A lot of matches to fill the weekend.

I'll watch Arsenal or MU probably. What will you do guys?

That will be easy for them. There is no big deal for those who play away or home. I'm sure Arsenal or MU will get the win together. They are a big team in England, for sure if you lose will be very embarrassing. What's more this is the beginning of the group stage.

I don't think that Arsenal is going to win easy tonight.
Frankfurt sold a lot of players during the summer transfer window but they have still good material for making victories in the Europa league.

I usually stay away from the group stages of the Europa League, but honestly, there are some really good (at least on paper) matches tomorrow:

Frankfurt vs Arsenal / PSV vs Sporting / Rennes vs Celtic / Porto vs Young Boys / Wolves vs Braga

I'll probably parlay a couple of these teams to win tomorrow as well as some underdogs (maybe Cluj to win vs Lazio?). Oh, and Man Utd should have no problems against FC Astana.

The stages hasn't provided us great matches.
The most exciting match which I can notice is the one between Arsenal and Eintracht Frankurt.
Having said that, I would probably have a look at Arsenal and the whole group in the stages round.

I will watch the main events on today Champions League games and if I can find a main event in Europa League I will watch it too.The teams in Europa League are of a weaker quality and has not the same audience that Champions League has. Many persons almost always forget about Europa League unless their favourite team is playing.

I am placing a live bet in PAOK - Slovan match, for PAOK scoring the first goal in the game.
It is a fair bet considering that they have the ball possession and they have some scoring opportunities all ready.

EDIT: So unlucky... A few minutes after placing the bet Slovan scored... Cry

Live bets are so deceiving.I remember when they were first introduced quite a few years ago.All people only kept playing those bets watching the game on Tv sitting down at their desktop desk or with a laptop. They thought that by seeing the game they were able to read it well and bet accordingly.Unfortunately what I have seen is that this is the kind of bet that is one that can bring people a lot of lost money.I almost never play live.

PAOK had all the fonts to win this game.
They finished with 30 shots on target and still they didn't manage to score first.
That's football and that's what it makes it interesting.

Unbelievable they couldn’t qualify vs such an opponent...

^  I don't get it.  Tottenham?  No way they're going behind Olympiakos.  IMHO.

And I got Sevilla at 11.75 (FJ odds) to win the Europa League.  They got a decent manager and one of the best sporting directors in Europe.

Tottenham Hotspur is predicted to win the Europa League 2019/2020. In the final they defeated Manchester United.

Having previously predicted the success of Real Madrid to become champions of the 2019/2020 Champions League, BT Sport again used big data to predict the results of the 2019/2020 Europa League.
Wow even though Tottenham Hotspurs are in the group stages of Champions League, they are going to win the Europa League meaning that they are going to finish third behind either Bayern Munich or Olympiakos and be relegated to the Europa League and with Manchester United,  i doubt they are going to make it that far into the competition.

Nothing interesting in the Groups after the draw.
The most interesting matches for me would be the ones between Arsenal and Frankfurt. Still those two team will qualify for sure on the 32 round but I believe the quality of the games between them will be higher than other matches.

Lol, what? They used big data to compare things and then conclude who will win?

Did they also use it to predict Liverpool trashing Barcelona last season?

There are 11 players, not one single player that doesn't change throughout the season so you can always say 'this one will win because he won the previous 100'.

Well, Europa league group stage isn't most exciting thing, but there are some interesting groups. Groups C, E and G looks very ballanced, with at least 3 strong teams fighting for spot in the next round. Meanwhile teams like Sevilla and Man Utd got easiest possible groups.

This is the discussion thread for the Europa League. Champions League thread can be found here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/uefa-champions-league-discussion-thread-5163249

Hi guys! So the old UEFA lounge was closed. And kenzawak's closed his thread for last season too... I'm loathe to open new threads every season, what do you think? Can we have this as the perma thread or a new one every season?

Meanwhile, the preliminaries for Season 2019/20 have all started! There's a curious case of a University men's team competing in UEFA competition for the first time ever. Another fairy tale in the making perhaps? Cardiff Metropolitan. Long live the Welsh!

Here's the schedule for Europa. Next Thursday is like 30 games, too long to post!

this is just a match to win the grub phase, there is no exciting match here. awaited match when the grub phase division is over and waiting for an entertaining and interesting miracle match.

Manchester United reaching the final will make me very happy, but it’s too early in the tournament to predict such things. However I’m expecting Manchester United to prioritise winning the Europa League, because that will guarantee them a Champions League spot next season. Tottenham is not a weak team and they can definitely go ahead in the champions league, hence I don’t expect them to drop down to Europa League.

~ snip ~

There is no hell group at UCL this time. But still, each team will definitely give their best performance in this competition. I miss the surprise at this UCL competition, which is where the big European clubs didn't qualify for the big 16 phase.

@LTU, I know. My heart jumped when they scored first, and then they actually equalised so I thought there was a chance but then they let in the 3rd goal two minutes later haha... It was a good competition too at least they didn't sit down and give up!

My consolation is I still made profit with a Wolves/Rangers parlay... single goal margins. I like Rangers for sentiment but the way they play, they're going to get so many suspensions. Finding it really hard to score in these games. So still Wolves I guess. Maybe they want to win this one and we should not give their EPL hopes too much?
