There is a fight night that has a fighter that has been very interesting to watch in his previous bouts:
UFC on ESPN: Cannonier vs. Borralho

Caio Borralho has only the one blemish on his record with an very impressive win against Paul Craig in his last fight.

Just look at his last opponents from the one they nicknamed The Natural on sherdog statistics page:

In the post-fight interview , Dricus hinted that he wants the Sean Strickland fight next, so maybe that will be his next opponent.
This is logical next fight for him but I dont see Strickland can stop him now.
UFC is always trying to make fight that sells more and I dont know if Strickland vs Dricus is what they want.

has no ground game.
Liked how Adesanya pointed to the ground A'La Holloway did in his BMF fight but Israel ran away right after and Dricus tracked him down and finished him.
He has ground game like he showed in past, but this is not his main weapon, his base skills are coming from kickboxing.
Dricus is now better all around fighter, he is bigger, stronger and less arrogant.

I don't know if you saw it, but Poatan posted an image on his Instagram saying that he would be downgraded after Adesanya's defeat. So far I don't understand if it's true or just a joke about his defeat.

DDP already responded that he could come up to 205 when he's done proving to be the best in MW. Maybe he wants Alex to wait while he also said for now Alex can fight Rountree and Anka after. He also said cutting weight down to 185 will be a good excuse if he loses.  He already started trolling Alex without effort.

DDP's next fight is Sean Strickland once again. It's been set already and maybe Sean has something new to offer. But I would also like to see Alex Pereira fighting DDP either 185 or 205.

UFC and Dana White little project called Adesanya is finished.
I watched this event in delayed recording and Dricus Du Plessis was much better and he dominated in this fight, on the ground Adesanya reminded me on McGregor against Khabib.
I dont know who is next for Dricus Du Plessis but I can see him moving in different division maybe in super fight with Alex Pereira.
It seems Israel has no ground game.
Liked how Adesanya pointed to the ground A'La Holloway did in his BMF fight but Israel ran away right after and Dricus tracked him down and finished him.

This event was crazy as TheWeasle put this statement as a thumbnail for his video of the event because it was.
Most of the underdogs odds-wise won including the main event. Steve Erceg getting knocked out the way he did by K-KF and in the first round was just nuts to see. Even the leech got knocked out for the first time in his very long career.

It must of been a full moon or something in that part of Australia for all these fighters winning their bouts.
Believe even one judge during the Tai fight got fired who gave the 30-27. Suspended for the rest of the event atleast.

In the post-fight interview , Dricus hinted that he wants the Sean Strickland fight next, so maybe that will be his next opponent.

I like the respect that both fighters showed to each other after the fight. Izzy handled the defeat really well and did not try to undermine the efforts of Dricus even though he admitted some mistakes he made.
Strickland is saying some crazy sh*t like he always does on his socials stating he will accept the fight and go to South Africa to fix it there when he is done.
Israel did handle the result with humility and I doubt we will see him in the octagon for the rest of the year.
The tattoo on his chest explains him now: Broken
He should go on a long time off from fighting and reflect on where he wants to go from this.
Because from the looks of it Alex Pereira entering the UFC really was where his career got derailed and really was his Baba Yaga.

I wanted to bet on Izzy tonight but Drake seems to have cursed him with a bet for him to win. I can’t follow a Drake bet after seeing him lose so many in a row. Maybe that’s being paranoid, but a losing streak as epic as Drake’s should be respected. I think the crying thing was less of a deal than the Drake bet. People can cry and win, nobody overcomes the Drake curse.

The Drake curse is absolutely real. I’m impressed with how he always manages to lose every single bet no matter how much of a favorite he bets. At this point it almost seems to go beyond coincidence. If he loses his next big bet I’m going to call shenanigans. Nobody can possibly be that bad at gambling. It’s statistically an anomaly.
Most of us do have this notion that Drake is cursed towards gambling, but the problem is, does Drake feel the same about himself on what makes him lose mostly on bets he predicted to win?

By right, the losing strike in bets Drake does have is supposed to give him concern each time he bets and loses because this is far beyond normal happening to any human being would experience.

I guess Drake should, at times, feel bad in his heart, but the money he has won't let him feel like he's being cursed into gambling. However, I feel for his wealth anyway. This is how he will spend and lose money on other things we may not know of. It's a pity, this is happening to Drake
Hadn't watched any of the main event fights as I had something to attend too but got to see all of the early and preliminary card fights.

But concerning Drake and his losing streak on these UFC bets:
He is obligated to bet on the same fighter that the casino has sponsoring him to bet on.
And they did have Adesanya as their poster boy for their UFC specials and promotions.

Okay, that was one heck of a co-main event.

Kai Kara-France finished the fight so quickly in the very first round at 4 minutes. That one-two punch was filled with power and obviously, Steve Erceg got wobbly and his feet got weak. It's just a matter of time before the referee will step in.
Kai didn't take a rest, that's how it is when you smell blood. He rushed on the attack again when Steve got up and landed another big punch that ended the fight with the referee stepping in to stop the contest.

That win will probably boost the energy of his teammate the Stylebender. Let's go for the main event!

Seems from the betting lines have closed between the two fighters now from when I first took a snapshot of their odds.

The early prelims are about to start as this events being broadcasted while it is the morning in Australia.
So we get a good start time and one that ends at a decent time.

@cabron
I think that is just how Dricus is with him growing up in South Africa and they have a heavy spirit and do not get emotional like these soft fighters which he put Sean Strickland and Israel Adesanya under this category.

One fighter Jesus Aguilar missed weight for this event and is one of the fights during the early prelims.

Don't you remember DDP made Strickland cry before their bout too.
Something about his childhood but I can't remember as that was months ago. But the guy knows how to push his opponents button quite well and it worked on Adesanya just before the fight so to rattle him enough to make him too emotional.

There were two embedded videos since last night's press conferenece:

Watched this video by Red Pill MMA on what Dricus meant about those servants that caused Adesanya to slip up during the presser:
Izzy in Tears!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLMqDvScc0M

This guy made an animation about Izzy crying and after that, Sean comforted him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Gn8f_IvCaE
Yep, I kept watching the youtube content about how DDP breaks these guys, one video says after DDP made Sean rattle when he mentioned his daddy issues. And the next press conference, Sean said nothing negative about Dricus anymore but good stuff.

For a guy like DDP to become this brutal with his insults, he must have been broken for once in his life by someone as psycho as he is. Maybe even worse and so he learned to do the same.

Really busy during the past 24 hours to get this one together but it seemed they had a press conference over night for us in America. But it didn't seem to disappoint as the main headliner to take from it was Israel left the presser crying.

UFC 305 Embedded: Vlog Series - Episode 4

The official weigh-ins are currently going on and we will get the ceremonial one overnight:
UFC 305: Du Plessis vs. Adesanya Official Weigh-in LIVE Stream
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSZO54RSb7g

As in the press conference one of the questions asked of Adesanya why he was considered the underdog in the main event. He didn't even know he was and of course Dricus took it and asked him why you still talking about dogs.
That was one of the funnier moments of the presser from last night.

Dricus is just too brutal, these quarrels are supposed to be just to hype a fight but damn it he made the man cry. I have no idea about the "servants story" but according to some comments, there was an article about Izzy's story where they used to have servants.

If Izzy is still that emotional by the time they are in the cage he might just be careless with his attempts. Dricus definitely fired him up and Izzy lost control. With this, Izzy most probably will display his nastiest strikes.

Every interview I see with Dana White nowadays he doesn’t really seem focused on the UFC. I think he believes the UFC has reached its peak and he has moved on to building PowerSlap into a huge payday for himself. I wonder if this is going to lead to a slow demise of the UFC as Dana and company try to raise another cash cow.

There was something on a site saying Periera will be seeking damages to his reputation and almost costing him his career in the UFC with these false allegations and will be suing her.
He was his own youtube channel that is very active but he didnt post anything about this case in public.
I think his biggest mistake is not speaking or understanding English language, he could get into problems with women because of this.

There was also a media day last night but only managed to see the Dricus one:
Dricus Du Plessis to Israel Adesanya: “Stop searching for my w*lly on the internet, it's weird"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByaWHsDvVHo
This two guys dont like each other and this could result in a great fight to watch, I expect to see tactical chess play in first round or two.
I know Dana White wants Adesanya to win, but things are not going according to his plans lately  Grin

The whole interview is pretty wholesome and he speaks decently like he really is comfortable speaking in public like they said in the comments. He commented about Adesanya to stop searching his willy is in the last part after saying goodbye to the press.

I've seen different podcasts about their fight from Mighty Mouse, War room to some bet pickers, I can say they can't easily tell who will win the fight. But the idea that the fight might take up to 4th round is common among them for these two can spend few rounds until one gas out before knocking out.
