It was a much better fight night than many numbered cards. And this main event was much better than any other main event on many, many events. It was a great thing to watch, and the team is showing what they're made of.

Looks like the Fighting Nerds records climbs to 14-0 for all the fighters they have in the UFC.
And the leaders of this crew won the UFC Vegas 96 in a five round slugfest!
Caio Borralho went the distance with Jared Cannonier but beat him on the scorecards.

Michael Morales of course won his fight and Tabitha Ricci beat Angela Hill on the scorecards.

Overall it was a good fight night weekend at the Apex.

Faking records and fooling UFC to sign them looks very common with fake promotions to pump up their records. I look into that channel and there are more of those fighters who actually got into UFC.  One fighter went all the way to change his name just to reset his record to zero.

Dana definitely has the right to call Merab stupid for posting that cut while they are up to fight next month. The fight against Omalley is still up though but they are saying that Merab posting it cut is like trying to get out of the fight.

Wasn't very pumped about this being a fight night at the Apex, But during the week have warmed up to it, because the matchups are quite good and betting-wise, profitable if you know these fighters and how they drop off during certain times.
Can't remember when I have been so vested into one of these in awhile because of this fight nerd team and what I have seen about them lately.

This just reminds me how much Dana White hates Merab and what he is doing in his organization is quite interesting on why he is keeping him on.
The way he pranks fighters I wouldn't doubt if he comes out with an entire head bandage during the next month just to punk Dana.

Be prepared for the rise of the fight nerds. Borralho will run over the car and will easily win this one.

I hope this card entertains me a lot more. Besides, Poatan already has a fight scheduled. How many times a year will this guy fight? How much debt does he have or what kind of life does he want to lead with that much money?

The MMA expert says it actually is to Cannonier's disadvantage because he can't outpace Caio and will need the extra space so to outmaneuver him if he even wants a chance to win.

Anyone catch the interview that Dana White gave right after this week's Contender's series?
He commented on the UFC 305 (since he wasn't there) results, Bones retirement talk (ever other week!) and how stupid his fighters are.

All because of this post from Merab on his social media about having a cut over his eye more on his forehead during sparring.
He really went off on how dumb this was and could of cost him alot since this is main event at the sphere.
White already hates Merab ever since he refused to fight Sterling because they are friends.

I am actually excited for the Grasso versus Valentina Shevchenko 3 but it's still far away. For now, I want to see these other ladies fight so I am betting for Angela Hill to win that match in the co-main event.
Meanwhile, I am rooting for Cannonier to also win his fight in the main event. Yes, going for the underdog here.

The video was 2 days ago. Besides DDP answered Alex in the post conference and we know Sean is DDP's next fight.
Even if DDP moves up after defending the title I think it's still not up to them. Like Bisping, people would like to see DDP vs Pereira, we just don't know when this will happen. Alex seems to be the next cash cow of Dana, he might not want him to fight someone that can choke him to death.


It must be to his advantage. With a smaller cage, they don't have to chase each other because of too much room to run around. Less room for a karate-style fighter like Borralho.

Alex Pereira called out Dricus Du Plessis after he defeated Adesanya, and he accepted the challenge!
This fight should happen in light heavyweight category so Dricus needs some time to prepare for that, but he doesnt have to worry so much about weight cutting.

It is funny that there are fighters who like the smaller cage of the Apex and Jared seems to be one of them,
He did fight Adesanya from what I remember and he did well against him.
So yeah, I can also see it being a competitive fight just as you mentioned. Caio is coming out of a fighting gym that has had produced many fighters who have come into success. I believe they are called the fighting nerds. And are synonymous with wearing glasses right after during their post fight interviews.

On paper it looks like Borralho is clear favorite to win and bookmakers odds are confirming that, but I would not underestimate Cannonier.
He has slight reach advantage, more experience and he needs to win to stay in this fighting game at his age.
I think he likes fighting in this smaller UFC Apex cage and I like odds on him to make surprise win.

He recycled the The Natural. But yep slick jabs from a Southpaw. He is unknown until he earns this main event but I can see he started on Contender Series.


They already see him as the fave.  Bettors might just be looking at which round the fight will be stopped or how he would win. I'd lean he'd finish this by KO. 

Izzy has achieved a lot in the sport, and there is no way he did it without a ground game. In his post game interview, he said he pointed to the ground because he slipped. May be true, or may not be true, it doesn't count right now.

I still opportunity for him in the UFC, he still has the heart, I just think he should talk and brag less.

Caio Borralho has only the one blemish on his record with an very impressive win against Paul Craig in his last fight.

This is logical next fight for him but I dont see Strickland can stop him now.
UFC is always trying to make fight that sells more and I dont know if Strickland vs Dricus is what they want.

He has ground game like he showed in past, but this is not his main weapon, his base skills are coming from kickboxing.
Dricus is now better all around fighter, he is bigger, stronger and less arrogant.

DDP already responded that he could come up to 205 when he's done proving to be the best in MW. Maybe he wants Alex to wait while he also said for now Alex can fight Rountree and Anka after. He also said cutting weight down to 185 will be a good excuse if he loses.  He already started trolling Alex without effort.

DDP's next fight is Sean Strickland once again. It's been set already and maybe Sean has something new to offer. But I would also like to see Alex Pereira fighting DDP either 185 or 205.

I don't know if you saw it, but Poatan posted an image on his Instagram saying that he would be downgraded after Adesanya's defeat. So far I don't understand if it's true or just a joke about his defeat.

It seems Israel has no ground game.
Liked how Adesanya pointed to the ground A'La Holloway did in his BMF fight but Israel ran away right after and Dricus tracked him down and finished him.

This event was crazy as TheWeasle put this statement as a thumbnail for his video of the event because it was.
Most of the underdogs odds-wise won including the main event. Steve Erceg getting knocked out the way he did by K-KF and in the first round was just nuts to see. Even the leech got knocked out for the first time in his very long career.

It must of been a full moon or something in that part of Australia for all these fighters winning their bouts.
Believe even one judge during the Tai fight got fired who gave the 30-27. Suspended for the rest of the event atleast.

Strickland is saying some crazy sh*t like he always does on his socials stating he will accept the fight and go to South Africa to fix it there when he is done.
Israel did handle the result with humility and I doubt we will see him in the octagon for the rest of the year.

Because from the looks of it Alex Pereira entering the UFC really was where his career got derailed and really was his Baba Yaga.

In the post-fight interview , Dricus hinted that he wants the Sean Strickland fight next, so maybe that will be his next opponent.

I like the respect that both fighters showed to each other after the fight. Izzy handled the defeat really well and did not try to undermine the efforts of Dricus even though he admitted some mistakes he made.

UFC and Dana White little project called Adesanya is finished.
I watched this event in delayed recording and Dricus Du Plessis was much better and he dominated in this fight, on the ground Adesanya reminded me on McGregor against Khabib 
I dont know who is next for Dricus Du Plessis but I can see him moving in different division maybe in super fight with Alex Pereira.
