As a fan of this sport, I couldn't remember any match of Green that stands out actually. He isn't the kind of fighter that made a big KO that surprised viewers. If that hasn't happened then you will more than likely remember Clay Guida than him.

Green did have a great winning streak before the zebra happened. I think once upon a time, Dana considered him to be a well-rounded fighter who could fight either standing on foot or down the ground.

Truth @owengtam09
UFC wants that star power to be praised for their champions.
And to be honest Bobby just doesn't have that. He doesn't have any explosive power that draws in the crowds and that is the reason he doesn't have fights for those main event pay-per-views.

People will shell out the money to see a Conor and a Chimaev fighting anybody else just not a Green.
Sorry to say it but this is a reality and also sad but true for any type fighter.

Also the welter weight division is also dying as nobody really wants to be in that weight-class and trying to gain more weight to get out of it.

Found this video earlier today about a fighter who I first heard about getting into a car accident (which I at first thought it was that female fighter who died early in the year - https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2023/jan/08/victoria-lee-mma-one-championship-dies-age-18-angela-christian-lee-hawaii https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BB7VrDT-Foc) but wants to quit the sport outright:

Quite an interesting interview to watch to learn what fighters go through to make these fights happen.

About the fight week, ran into a bout with Bobby Green over the weekend and they had the weigh-ins run along side before showing the result of that fight.
He is one of those behind the scenes type fighter who doesn't get much of the spotlight a Leon Edwards, Aljamain Sterling and Jon Jones have being put on them but he is formidable fighter who last fought Tony Ferguson and lost.
It should be a good weekend fight night to just see for the fights and not put much on the event so to keep it fun.

As for the discussions about Strickland and Adesayna in the last few posts, I just see their last incidents as attention getting and nothing more.
So to keep their names on top of everybody's minds of the fight game discussions on all the major MMA socials.

Bobby Green hasn't been given the spotlight because UFC doesn't see him as a champion-material kind of a guy, for sure most champion-material guys that the UFC wants to become champions, and most of those guys have a fountain explosion of charisma on people, for instance, Conor McGregor run pretty much the UFC wants McGregor to be champion because he is more profitable because McGregor got huge endorsements than a plain Khaibib Nurmagomedov, for sure McGregor hasn't climbed from the top not only because of his fighting prowess but also with his Charisma as well, Let's say Paddy Pimblett perhaps is an unsuccessful and was exposed due to the Jaed Gordon fight for sure,

Now we are having an individual fight interview for the fighters of the UFC Fight Night: Dawson vs. Green

Somehow I like this guy Sean Strickland for being practical or maybe he is just really cheap. He may have a foul mouth before the fight or maybe that's adrenaline consuming him but what he said here made me curious.
https://talksport.com/sport/mma/1585956/sean-strickland-cars-conor-mcgregor-ufc-champion/
Sean Strickland doesn’t drive luxury cars like Conor McGregor despite becoming UFC champion
Quote
“Everything we do from what you wear to what you drive. You are born living in the f***ing a commercial. When you’re a little infant and you’re watching TV, you are born looking at Audi and Mercedes commercials.

“We are creating a generation of boys who judge their character by what they drive and what they wear. Unless someone wants to give me a car for free, I’m not doing it.

"I don’t want to participate in making people feel like you are not enough. If you work an 8-hour job… I think that the value of you is by how you act, by the kind of father you are.

But, there's also news about him chasing a guy with a flamethrower after the fight, that dude may be part of his team but what he did is still dangerous. Then, he said he broke the title belt too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46zhmHlNrDo
I don't know if he is crazy or something but whatever is in that mind of him is difficult to understand. Adesanya is probably boosted now to get that title back and we saw against Alex Pereira that he can come back stronger whenever he loses.

I do agree with him about boys judging characters by what people own. Since the time he showed the broken belt, I started liking him. He can be funny and annoying at the same time but he has some wisdom in him. He doesn't need to ride a luxury car to be validated, he won the greatest upset, it must be enough as the referee raised his hand.

To him, it won't matter if Adesanya gets the belt back, he probably will give it to Izzy during the face-off for the rematch. The man values his guns more than that belt.

From the posts above, it seems that many don't know how Shavkat's last name is .. Rakhmonov.

It is understandable since many haven't seen him fight and Stephen Thompson even said during that interview which @owengtam09 has mentioned he didn't even know who Shavkat was when they mentioned him for a fight a year ago.

Here is another video from TheWeasle mentioning the UFC 296 card as it is the last main event fight card of the year:
UFC 296 is STACKED (Leon Edwards vs Colby Covington Preview)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6jiZ3hMjU0

For sure I am phrasing it correctly but sadly Spelling was wrong,  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy sorry Shavkat but for sure they sound the same so I will just leave it as that,

Well the Shavkat Rakhmonov VS Stephen Thompson fight was from the event UFC 296 for Leon Edwards VS Colby Covington that will be on December 16, and we already engaging in this discussion but for sure many are excited about this game for sure,

He wasn't determined to accept the fight with Rakmonov months ago. That's why many are surprised about the decision because it doesn't sound like him. He must have expected a pay from the canceled fight yet seeing Dana fucked him with the pay, Dana give him a deal to shut his mouth to the media and fight Rakmonov so he'll get bigger pay. Risky but bigger pay. That's as far as I got.

This is his last fight probably and it will be a lot funnier if he finishes Rakmonov. Pretty sure Dana will not like it.

for sure at first, Stephen Thompson had a good reason why he is not to accept this fight back because Shavkat Shavkat Rakhmonov was not in a higher tanking spot back then, and Stephen Thompson was not really aware of Shavkat Rakhmonov back then and now that he is in a good ranking then Thompson now acknowledges him for sure Thompson is not really that picky for sure,

And Dana makes sure the odds are on his side. He'd be very disappointed if Ferguson and Thompson put up a fight. They are very capable, they just need a good shot at the right time or create his own opportunity just like Derrick Lewis did and won.

I am glad many are excited about those fights even though the set date is still way too far.
For now, I am trying to get excited with UFC 294 though which I think has cards that are also interesting.

And Charles Oliveira has something to say about his fight against Islam Makhachev in Abu Dhabi.
Quote
“I don’t necessarily think it’s fair, but it’s the game,” Oliveira told My MMA News through an interpreter. “That’s where the champion is. He calls the shots. But I’m coming back for my belt, wherever that is.”
https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2023/09/ufc-294-news-charles-oliveira-opinion-islam-makhachev-rematch-abu-dhabi-not-fair-mma-game

Well, he cannot do anything about it since he is the challenger. All he needs to think about is winning this match in a way that no questions will come out. Knock him out if possible, submit him if he can, and then he can pick his own venue once he does that.
Also, this is not just about the hometown or whatever he is thinking about, it is also about boosting the UFC in different countries so Dana White's pocket will not stop being filled with money.  Grin

The Arabs are paying more than the audience from somewhere else. This is the part of the world where the economy is still thriving. The other parts of the world are just downloading videos from torrent sites. Charles just has to focus more on his fight plan, no risky attempts this time so he can request the 3rd fight in Sao Paulo.

You couldn't call it like Dana is making him pay for standing up against him and Pereira because he seems to be paid double for this fight against Rakmonov. But I can only laugh if Rakmonov is defeated though. I gotta give Thompson the best good luck for he did the right thing and it pays off.

Dagestanis are going to make it easy to bet on in 294.  Khamzat is back. It will be fun to watch him and Costa fight, the two have been eager to punch each other's face for a long time.
Khamzat by the way is not representing Sweden anymore but UAE.
Well, on Stephen Thompson's part for sure he said in the Ariel Helwani interview that he will get all fights that are above him this time, so for sure even if the UFC will pay him double to fight Shavkat Rhakmanov (if this is true) he will still fight Rhakmanov because Shavkat Rhakmanov is higher than him so for sure there are no excuses on who he should fight, for sure Stephen Thompson would like that double payment but he is prideful to accept that,

Fully agree with you there cabron!
Dana wants to see the aging fighters such as Ferguson and Thompson make way to these new and younger fighters. So he can get them up to higher status so to cash in on that sweet PPV money of course.

So you sort of wonder why he puts them up against these up and coming rising stars so quickly.
So to capitalize on a new audience who are coming in on these sort of fights.
Both are stacked cards up until the end of the year for sure!

For sure it will, as both these fighters are great with the striking department Alex Pereira is great with kick-boxing while Jiri's kicks are lethal at the same time, for sure this is a truly great fight to watch my only concern here is if Jiri Prochazka's injuries are all 100% OK he is from a certain injury that could some fighters will not return but in his case this is the 1st time he is using that injured shoulder, this is just my concern going into the fight,

For sure every fighter wants their opponent to be at their 100% best and Jiri Prochazka looks at his 100% but the real issue in my opinion was his performance if it will be as great as the Glover Texeira fight fr sure this is a great fight to watch and right now I am still torn on who I should make my bet on, Alex Pereira or Jiri Prochazka,

For sure there are clues that we could likely see going into the fight and Colby Covington last fight Jorge Masvidal in a technical win against him, for sure this could be a close match for sure but let's just wait for it for me I am still going with the champion for sure, but I would look at Colby Covington's fight just to be sure about it and I could have missed something,

For me, Colby Covington is pretty much positive about this fight so for sure he has his gameplan for this fight looking at Leon Edwards it is really hard to predict this fight as for me I really have no idea about what may happen in the fight, but for this fight, for sure I will surely be looking  for this two-person if who might be able to win on this one, will be looking at the past fight of this two fighters if who will be winning in this one,

Paying double? You got this from the ending of the post fight interview of this week's contender series?
Dana said "Well if that is what Wonderboy Thompson said, then it must be true!"
So it is neither denied nor confirmed by either the CEO or by Thompson from the interview he did with MMAFightingonSBN on the MMA Hour yesterday regarding this fight:
Stephen Thompson Turned Down Shavkat Rakhmonov Fight First Time
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1UZOZpudro

With several cancellations and having his opponent miss weight he hasn't fought in nearly a year coming up to this fight with Rakmonov but it doesn't seem he is too worried about it.

Sounds like it is. Everybody in the division is no match to Izzy at least that is what he thought and anyone like Strickland is somewhat like an easy pick to tune up himself. Pretty sure he didn't take it lightly when he lost against Strickland but he could take it seriously if he loses against Pereira since Pereira is capable of doing much worse.

When a man's pride is stepped on. Something inside him will be stirred up.  Once a glorified champion and one day got defeated badly all your bending was forgotten, it hurts him like how Ronda Rousey was hurt after losing against Holm.

For sure he was hurt more than he lost with Alex Pereira and it is true it is more hurtful the 2nd time around, Adesanaya is now in a state of confusion on questioning why he lost in an easy manner against Sean Strickland, for sure this is really hard to take for Israel Adesanya, and comparing the level with Ronda Rousey I think it is still hard for Israel Adesanya to experience it again, after he lost to Pereira, for sure this have triggered some mental issue's within him,

The Jiri Prochaska VS Alex Pereira, in my opinion, is going to be a sick fight for sure I really don't want to miss that one and this event is a Co-main for the Jon Jones VS Stipe Miocic fight event, as for the juicer fights here in the UFC 295 are except the main and the Co-main event for sure is Jéssica Andrade vs Mackenzie Dern, Jared Gordon vs Mark Madsen, Pat Sabatini vs Diego Lopes in my opinion was the fight that for me are good, while the Derek Brunson vs. Roman Dolidze fight got canceled in this because of Brunson Withdraw from the fight

Now for me, I think that the Leon Edwards VS Colby Covington fight was pretty much a tough one to call for sure I am still wondering who is the possible win for this fight and so they are on the UFC 296, and the main event for that fight card, and under that card was Alexandre Pantoja VS Brandon Royval, Shavkat Rakhmonov VS Stephen Thompson, Tony Ferguson VS Paddy Pimblett, and Vicente Luque VS Ian Machado Garry, for sure everyone is wondering that Tony Ferguson is fighting Paddy Pimblett, it was legit guys,

Maybe it is good that we don't have a UFC Main Event for the rest of the month since we can all have time to let these new fights set in for a while until the next one. For 295 is alright card but the main event is the one everybody is wanting to see so will put a few bets just on this main card.

There was a graphic put up for the announced fights last week for the UFC fight cards coming up for UFC 296:

Since these are all we are going to be talking about now!
There are many interesting encounters in the card. The main card is of course the most popular. It will be a good night for Edwards and Covington followers and fans, I am very sure that it will be a match where they will destroy each other for five rounds. There are also good fights outside the main card. For example, I am curious about the Wonder Boy match. I think I need to analyze his Kazakhstani opponent a little more before playing any game. Isn't it time for Ferguson to announce his retirement? Maybe they thought of Ferguson as bait for Pimblett. Ferguson has no trace of his old self, but in my opinion, Pimblett is not that good of a fighter, I think they treat him specially just because he is loved, sometimes it will come out more clearly in this fight. I don't really expect Ferguson to win, but he is a very experienced guy, so I expect him to surprise me and win this fight, no matter how bad he is.

Thompson turned down his opponent because of the extra 4lbs yet willing to fight the undefeated Rakmonov who can slam him to the ground. But it's gonna be a good fight if Rakmonov will still put on a show as he did with his last fight. Neal landed big shots on Rakmonov so I guess Thompson can do the same. If Thompson beats Rakmonov, which is actually possible, it will really be hilarious.

Covington could have fought several fighters down him to be active but waited for someone to bring Usman down so he could once again take a title shot. He wouldn't get this main event if he fought either Burns or Khamzat. Covington is no match against Leon.

For me, Shavkat Rakhmonov is a hard challenge for Stephen "Wonder Boy" Thompson, a pure striker against a well-rounded Wrestler for sure Rakhmonov is a quality in what he does, but many surely questionable why Thompson accepts this fight well I have seen an article on why did Stephen Thompson, that Thompson accept this because the UFC is doubling his payment when he fights Shavkat Takhmonov, and for this fight Thompson thinks that the UFC is not bribing him for this one,

https://www.mmamania.com/2023/9/26/23891097/stephen-thompson-getting-paid-double-fight-shavkat-rakhmonov-ufc-296-dont-think-theyre-bribing-me

Wonder boy turning down his last fight due to Michel Pereira not making weight was going to bite him one way or another. Because Dana was quite upset about the aftermath that decision ended up causing a crap ton of press that he didn't want to have to deal with. With the mention of paying a fighter or not which look what happened with Ngannou last time this happened.
Now Dana is making him pay with fighting Shavkat Rakmonov.
An opponent nobody wants to face after what he did to Geoff Neal with a brutal standing submission.

Everybody is talking about UFC 294 lately and why not? It is afterall before 295.
So here are the latest videos on that card which in my opinion will outperform the last main event and the next fight nights before making it's arrival to our screens:

UFC 294 is STACKED (Islam Makhachev vs Charles Oliveira 2 Preview) - TheWeasle

This was surely one stacked event which is why many are talking about this event after seeing this one, I was really amazed at what I saw, and just like you I watched TheWeasle explanation and I surely agree with what he was talking about for sure that Islam Makhachev VS Charles Oliveira fight was the most awaited in this event, actually I am very excited right now,

There are so many Dagestan fighters in this event sure many will be going with the Dagestan and the bookies will also be very favorable in this one for sure, that is why we will be witnessing KO/TKO and Submission in every fight for sure

Khamzat vs Costa is pretty much a curious fight for me, I am curious because I am thinking if Khamzat Chimaev will have a power to carry and takedown Paulo Costa in this fight,
