Quoting a post from other UFC thread as I wanted to see if anyone on Sportsbet got an eye Wink

Would like to get someone to weigh in on underdogs too, can't even really make up my mind reviewing past fights (think even highlights harm guys like me as it doesn't give an accurate picture of entire performance).

Alternatively, give me your "Sure Bet" so I can bet against it Wink

For now, the opener's smelling real good:

Wow buway, well done on the win, you even got it boosted to over 3x,,, pretty sure when I looked at it during my predictions this was only 2.5x (with boost 2.6). Odds kept going higher I guess like most fights when people bet more and more on the favorite so it could actually pay to look at the odds as soon as they come out, and note them down and take them when they rise up like this fight.

Fight even finished in R3, but I think the main upset was Gamrot right? The odds were even a bit higher for Gamrot I believe 2.9x when I looked.

Also, if you could double down on a underdog, who would be your pick?

The reason I ask is; I'm looking to put a higher amount down this weekend, but only include 3-4 fights. I won't be betting just on wins though, thinking of during by round, and method. Unless, its a decision.

Actually only bet on the main card fights and those came in hot with some solid wins on single bets.
The main event saw alot of people lose with a strange scorecard from the three judges seeing Emmitt edging out Kattar for the victory.
Luckily where I placed my bet had a split decision money-back promotion so had it basically even money for my bet on this main card bout.
Over all an impressive fight night since as you had mentioned alot of matches ended early with knock outs and indeed probably a record.

Can not wait for next month's UFC main event as the promotional videos have already started coming out yesterday for it:

One strategy could be to pick against all the favorites though, and you only need one or two of the big upsets here to make money from the whole thing. Actually I might try that with $1 on all of them Wink
Yes good strategy on betting for these UFC fight nights.
Usually there are a few upsets and the heavy underdog has a good opportunity to win their bout against a heavy sided favorite.
But a good tip I always do is: Bet on the other markets when in doubt.
Such as Will the fight go the distance or over and under rounds for you selections.

I forgot to place my bets for this one actually,,, I had quite a number of freebets won from prediction contest (the NBA Finals one) so for a first time I believe I actually won a bet AND freebet betting on the underdog there!!

Last night seems there was a new record for KOs in a card too,,, from what I read on the news,,, that itself is quite another strategy, to bet on/against KOs in all the fights.

Did anyone make money last night? Wink

Yes @leea-1334 UFC seems to be picking up the pace during the summer time now is upon us. Marketing is their only route so their fan-base is to aware when and who the next contenders will face off in the octagon.

UFC ESPN 37 is on this weekend and here is your chance to put in your picks for the next round of the multimaster challenge sponsored by Sportsbet.io:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/sportsbetio-ufc-on-espn-37-multi-master-challenge-saturday-5402605

Good luck to everyone who decides to participate in this one!

Already done yesterday and thanks for the reminder,,, I saw a LOT of heavy favorites in the selections though (based on the odds given by Sportsbet) so I only made my mind up for about 5 of the matches and went everywhere else with the favorite.

@leea-1334 It was the best UFC event ever I think and even Chael Sonnen a former fighter from Bad Guy Inc was saying that main event was the greatest he had ever seen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Plxs7RS86Og

Micheal Bisping was mentioning about how they were all great fights from start to finish:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRT5U61hyw4
Joanna retired from the UFC and at the end of the fight she laid her gloves down on the ring floor to show this as her last fight.
She has been fighting for the past 20 years. She must of started really young in her teens because she doesn't look that old.
But she was a character as you can see from those face-offs you posted the link too.
Here is the youtube video of all the post-fight interviews having the fighters answering questions about how they felt on how it all went down:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaePaBHIT38

As for the new light heavyweight champion Jiri, I liked his response to how he handled the fight and what happened in the ring for him to finish it very late like that:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n36KyxNnEA

Yes, it seemed like it turned out to be such a big event, funny that as I said maybe here or somewhere else my local news is not covering it much but after the fight, I saw most papers showed photos from the event.

I guess sometimes marketing fails to reach us here.

Joanna is so amazing half her life fighting but I do see the effects on her face and body, it must be such a torture despite looking like having a fit body. Not so much how old she looks I agree she looks pretty good but the facial injuries you can see.

Amazing days!

I got just 4 out of 12 picks right in the end (in the prediction contest from SB), though I think at least 2 of the games were cancelled? Not sure why or if true, only got my Google guide to help me out.

And yeah nice pick on Zhang, that was my initial idea too, backing all the East Asians, but changed my mind, to my detriment.

Seems like my Texeira pick was on his way to winning with half a minute left, falling to a Czech submission. Well done whoever picked Jiri.
Alot of people were on Jiri since he was the favorite in the match to win.
I won on him and someone had him to win by submission @27x from the site I was on while placing my bets.
Watching a youtube livestream just a little while ago they showed two betslip people posted up on twitter and they both picked him to submit in the 5th round at a whooping 401x! They placed 2 pounds and received 802 pounds. That was an really amazing wins!

About the venue: It was good for the East asian fighters being in Singapore and all it boosted their mentality to do well and succeed infront of their crowd. This is always something to consider when placing your bets on certain bouts.

^I saw some picture posted online with the two of them showing their faces so battered looking,,, but trying to smile, and the loser congratulating the winner very well. That is real sportsmanship man versus man and win or lose,,, respect.

Some sports people get so tight on losing or even on winning they just cannot congratulate the better opponent.

Also rdbase I read Joanna retired, tribute faceoff Smiley https://youtu.be/TrYVPh8X9GA

^rdbase Hehe no no I meant when I said that about where the location of the matches were. I work in Singapore currently (but unfortunately,,, not the glitzy parts and more like closer to the other big neighbor) and still do not know the areas so well myself BUT somehow did not even realize the matches for this weekend were here Smiley

I always check Sportsbet threads for sure,,,

Anyway Valentina won but round 5 so went that far and great job about your Zhang pick!

Thanks, I had a nice 2 days off from work because I did last 2 weeks a long time and managed to fill my nights with football, too bad they do not like giving me rest on weekend or I could try watch new things like UFC.

I already make one bet on Croatia tonight, now I also made a Santos bet @4.86. I like the odds too,,, but that Sevchenko Valentina looks like a sure thing so is my prediction pick.
Since your in Asia this UFC will be set in your timezone since it is being hosted in Singapore.
They mentioned an early start time at the end of the weigh-ins so you just might be able to watch it while it is happening instead of the re-runs this UFC event.

How did this even manage to pass under my radar I didn't know.

I always assumed all UFC fights were happening in USA, I know sometimes even in Asia but not in my area/region.

Seems like our sports coverage here at least in the local circles aren't really still aware of UFC things going on, my bad. I just checked and everything is happening around lunch time my time! When I am working!!
Sign up for notifications to the thread then you won't miss a thing! Wink

I at first was backing for Joanna to win but have since changed my view on this match.
Zhang has been training very hard and even went to a gym in the middle of the jungle to isolate herself in her training since that loss to Rose Namajunas.

Have my bets put in so am all set to sit and enjoy some big fights tonight.
There is two title fights in this main card so you don't want to miss any of the action! Grin

It's not easy at all to track the start of all this different UFC events around the world, and even in US there are different time zones.
I followed one website that was tracking that and updating with countdown timer, but they shut it down few months ago.
Back to UFC 275, I just finished watching face-offs and it was very intense between Teixeira and Prochazka.
I have a felling one of this two guys will finish on cage floor early Wink

I find it easier just to go to the betting site where you placed your bets and just see what time the first match's start time is.
This makes it a heck of alot easier to follow cause your placing your bets on the fight anyways. Smiley

As you can see the first fight begins in about 12 hours from now give or take 15-20 minutes before the markets close on you being able to bet prematch.

^Thanks for the reminder, notblox1! Can't believe I actually put my picks in 4 days ago ha, normally am scrambling to remember things like that.

The fight Shevchenko - Santos will be interesting to watch, Shevchenko dominates in her division, and the odds of 1.12 for her victory suggests that Santos does not have much chance. Santos is younger and more energetic, but Shevchenko is a very accurate fighter, she can simply keep Santos away from her and work at a distance. Look who Santos defeated by knockout, there are fighters who had a few victories in total... For me, Shevchenko's victory is obvious here, and I admit that this will be an early end to the fight.
Not worth the odds, even though I expect a dominant performance from Shevchenko. I might include a decision win, which has decent odds at 2.20. I could see a finish in this fight, but I think Santos is too tough, and Shev is way too good to get finished here. Not awesome odds either way, I mean if you went for a Santos decision or finish you'd be looking at 10.00 odds, I just can't see it happening personally.

Yeah, have to agree here. Too little to suggest an upset, no value on betting on Shevchenko, but even worse value betting on Santos. I'd add Shev to a long acca, that's the only thing I'd do with this match.

I mean, 1.12 on the favourite should translate to at least 9/1 on Santos, but you get a paltry half rate on that? Extremely poor value.

UFC Countdown was released a few days ago but just watched it on cable and it was a good one to know the fighters on the main card if you haven't seen them fight before.
Here is the link to the video from the official UFC channel:

Santos I think has the greatest chance to win as the heavy underdog on the card for the UFC #275 main events in Singapore.

Santos I think has the greatest chance to win as the heavy underdog on the card for the UFC #275 main events in Singapore.
I actually think Jake Matthews is the one to look out for. Think he might get a decision win, if he can avoid the heavy hands of Fialho. 3.10 odds, so not massive odds, but a underdog no less. Potentially even the main event, Glover getting a decision win? Could be on the cards I think, and that's at 8.00.
