Haven't been following this at all for some time now, sadly, only enough room in my head for football, a little bit of tennis, and thanks to my kid, F1. Looked at the picks I made for the SB prediction contest though and seems like I smacked an upset on the big match, unanimous decision on Belal according to the report I'm reading.

Missed my second pick but got Fialho on TKO... and I think overall I only picked 4 losers. Not bad, huh?

UFC is on and missed the first fight and it ended very fast as I had Croom. Embarrassed
Nunes (no not that one) is up to fight Hughes and should be another fast fight.
Expect alot of quick knockouts tonight.
Good luck to all who have bets placed on this event

If Khamzat has a hard time hitting Burns and was almost beaten up instead, Khamzat will also have difficulties in fighting the next match unless he learns it quickly. He's lucky that Dana is behind him. He better not starts demanding more fees from Dana because if he does, by UFC276 he could already be matched up to Usman who could end his career.

Some of the UFC fighters who had won their matches last night received bonuses in the form of bitcoin:
https://www.mmamania.com/2022/4/10/23019171/crypto-cash-out-heres-who-won-bitcoin-bonus-money-at-ufc-273

$60,000 worth of bitcoin was awarded via a voted for fan bonus.
Here is the rundown of who received what from yesterday's UFC main card:

Even some paid out in Marshall Inu named after Joe Rogan's dog.
This is all a meme inspired venture but it is still worth some coin that goes towards those who were not on the main card but in the prelims.

So why was Yan getting some bonus when he lose the fight?
Quite surprised by it but it's a decision which I guess having another rematch will be possible again.
Exact same can be asked about Burns getting the highest paid bonus from the secondary bonuses paid out in this cryptocurrency:
https://www.mmamania.com/2022/4/10/23019171/crypto-cash-out-heres-who-won-bitcoin-bonus-money-at-ufc-273

source: https://twitter.com/marshallinu_/status/1513957824161882121

It was up to the fans and for the mashall inu was up to Joe Rogan who founded the coin who ultimately received the highest payment from those bonuses.
Burn did have a great fight and nobody would of thought he would go the complete three rounds against Chimaev.

Next challenge is available to place your selections on who you think will come out on top for UFC ESPN 34 this weekend.

Going around the MMA youtube videos this past weekend's fight between Khamzat Chimaev vs Gilbert Burns was toted as the greatest fight of the year thus far.
And it did not disappoint just for the fact it went the distance and showed just how both fighters were absolute gladiators when all was said and done and came down to facing off in the octagon.

Here is a very in-depth video of the fight inwhich I viewed several but this one stood out the most due to it being impartial to both fighters:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYCoQOQPs-w

This was released by the same youtuber yesterday but seems they were offended in the way Chimaev viewed the fight in thinking he would take the KO in the first round just as many including myself would of seen the fight heading:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLRQfCoP_o8

The post fight  meeting between the two also explained to everyone might be why the reason this didn't happen
With Khamzat seeing Gilbert's children saying he didn't want to be a killer of anybodies kids dad.

This is an interesting point that no other youtube video/channel divulged in the reasoning why this fight went the full three rounds and no smeshing occurred.

Alot of fans of the UFC thought Petr Yan won the fight.
The bonuses given based on this voting system was afterall by the fans and not how the results of the fights were judged by the organization.
Yan did say after during the post fight interview that he wanted a rematch as it was poorly judged for one of the rounds. Which I don't blame him.
But this can be said for every fighter who lost at the end of their matches.

UFC 273 weigh-ins which happened yesterday:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEVjdCIAl6U

Two of the first didn't make weight. Julio Arce missed his weigh-in and Kay Hansen right after as well.
But they will still fight.
I have both fighters to lose on my predictions for the weekend event challenge anyways, so I am not worried.

Dana also said before tonight's fight even happened yet he would like to see Khamzat fight Colby Covington, which is quite odd even before the result of the co-main even begins.

The UFC 273 main prelims and main events should be one to bet on and can be done so here:

The Korean zombie just might be a trap bet. So I wouldn't bet on the winner but on if it will end early or not.
You'll have to watch a ton of those "We picks" videos from youtube in three days to make an educated decision on that one.

So here we have it UFC 273 has finally arrived and they are even so hyped for it the interviews have started a day early:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kbm-jIcoG2g

Joe Rogan had something to say about the Khamzat Chimaev vs Gilbert Burns fight with some highlight reels to make it that much more enjoyable while watching:

Been a while since I been sniffing around UFC, but with football consuming my bankroll, and the simple matter of real life, it's just been a crazy thang or two.

That said, Sunday night will either be a big break for me, or a big dud, depending on the outcome of City-Liverpool. Interestingly, 6 and a half hours after that game, we get UFC 273, so I might splash some of my winnings there.

The Korean Zombie is begging me to put silly money on him. N00b trap?

Just realized this past weekend Dana paid out a record breaking of bonuses for each fighter who finished their opponent $50,000 each:
https://www.mmafighting.com/2022/3/19/22986969/ufc-london-bonuses-ufc-makes-history-by-awarding-extra-50000-for-every-finish-on-card
But Paddy went to twitter and said he wish he was getting paid $100,000+ for that fight.

Regardless, London seemed to be a great success for a fight night as one announcer also mentioned it felt like a UFC main event.

UFC Fighter wants to receive his entire fight earnings in bitcoin:

“I’m thrilled to be receiving my earnings in bitcoin,” Nicolau stated. “As an athlete, I work hard to earn a living for myself, but with rising inflation I worry that this hard work goes to waste. By using Bitwage to earn bitcoin, I know that I am securing the value of my work.”

That should pave the way for more of UFC fighters wanting their payouts via bitcoin in the future.

Almost forgot this weekends fight event had an early start time since it is London for the first time in over two years.
I am going with the UK fighters as they will be psyched to get back into the ring.
And who can bet against a Welshmen when they are ready to go.

The challenge for fight night 204 can be entered into here before the first fight begins in about 6 and 1/2 hours from now:

Well you were looking to put something on Santos so here is the challenge for this weekend to be able to put in your picks to win the 2mbtc freebet.
The link to the multimaster challenge for UFC Vegas 50 for this weekend is here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/sportsbetio-ufc-vegas-50-multi-master-challenge-saturday-5388894
Thanks yeah, I have my eye on that, full picks later! Good to follow jeremypwr to make sure you don't miss out on these Sportsbet UFC Multi Master challenges!

But I'm not picking Santos in my predictions -- the heaviest underdog in the entire selection for Vegas 50. Kind of a pattern I'm doing this season across all sports, going with my gut with football, and leaning with the odds on sport I'm unfamiliar with (let's just say that means almost everything outside football).

Clubhouse freebet from UCL (7 goals hit all thanks to Bayern really) locked in on Santos with price boost. A neat ~1 mbtc win if the Brazilian pulls through!

Had done this in the last two UFC main events and they both lost miserably.
So going against the underdog doesn't always pay off unless you have some insider information before the fight ie. injury or had covid days before the fight.

I am liking Khamzat Chimaev's chances even more to be more prolific than Khabib Nurmagomedov in the UFC after seeing this life story documentary explaining his amazing rise in the UFC:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUJDTTRVLIs

This fighter certainly is making some noise.
On him not liking the last main event and the outcome.

Usman hates that Khamzat was given a title shot so soon after his last fight, but Dana makes the rules!

Thanks for the videos, as I said, I was only thinking to put money on Vegas night, and probably just a modest outlay on Santos. Odds still hovering below 5/1 so that's right up my alley. Probably a really dumb move, and even the comments from Santos himself doesn't make me feel confident that he thinks he can win.

Blowing beer money or making it into something worthwhile, that's the way.

Good fight night over the weekend in Vegas and Makhachev showed why he is next inline for a title shot.
Green got put away in the 1st round and to me it was a no contest since he didn't much of anything during the fight.
Had most of my predictions even on the underdogs come through but lost to a single match to spoil the 5 match acca @50x odds.

The next UFC fight for the first of the month looks to be a good one as well.

Yeah I saw your single failed selection. Big bummer there, would have been a great slip to share. It's going to be a huge bunched up schedule again in March with every other sport in Europe coming to the latter stages of cup games, UFC isn't about to let up either so we'll be spoilt for choice.

Saw the poster already for the big Santos vs Ankalaev Vegas night in 2 weeks. I'll probably dip back into it then. 5th rank vs 6th rank, let's see who gets to push into the top 3.
Had two selections wrong for the big acca on this UFC event.
Masvidal & Barboza did it in on a nice 69x odd betslip.

This one was a long one even if it had one fight cancelled but they replaced it with Rafael Dos Anjos vs Renato Moicano on short notice.
Now that was a dragged out match as it was mostly ground attacks for Rafael but he dominated throughout.
Highlights from it by BTSports:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZfB-8QwrFw

Fight of the night before the main event was Kevin Holland.
Him putting two thumbs up while Oliveira had him in a choke hold showed everyone how he had his ticket for the next round. Where he put him out.

The next event is looking very good with a fully stacked card.
Here is the sneak peek of that put out just a few hours ago:
