UFC Vegas 44 is this weekend with Font vs Aldo as the main card.

I'm staying out of this betting until closer to Dec 12. Taking a break and holding on to winnings until Football grinds me down again. Oliviera's my type of fighter though. Quiet, as he says, (they say too quiet?) so lacking on the drama but not on the ring action. Sort of jaded with all the pre-fight hype, if you ask me. And 23/10 odds means he's probably my pick if he makes it on my betslip come the time.
Yeah, I'm doing the same saving my money for the 12th of December which probably has some of the best fights of this year, at least on paper. Hopefully, they deliver as I much rather see myself losing money when there's some absolute wars going on.

However, I'll put my predictions out anyhow for the other event:

Jose Aldo
Brad Riddel (though this will probably be a coin toss on the night)
Alonzo Menifield
Brenden Allen
Manel Kape
Jake Matthews
You can still put in those predictions up on the UFC challenge which is free to enter for a chance to win a free bet of 2mbtc.

This is me and how I think. It's nice to win bets, and of course it doesn't matter how the game/match plays out if the outcome suits you when you count your winnings, but especially for fighting sports (which I used to bet on a lot in real life, muay Thai arenas in Bangkok evenings are pretty awesome) you're much happier when you lose but you got to see total warfare all night long.

@rdbase: save your money and sleep indeed. Though that applies to us and not you ha!

Same here @buwaytress & @Welsh
Going to save those mbtcs for the big event in the last month of the year.
But I do like your pick for Aldo to win in Vegas 44 this weekend.

Vegas 43 was a successful one for the bettors I would say.
Almost all the favorites won in the prelims and the main cards were quite evenly matched and went to the distance.
Vieira managed to handle Tate quite convincingly in the full 5 rounds of their main event.
As you could see both fighters after the fight who took the majority of the damage. Miesha's left eye was swelled shut for most of the final round.
The only fighters I didn't pick to win their matches were Levy, Pinheiro and Durden.
Which I should of as they were the favorites but I usually pick a couple of the underdogs to win because we all know there are always upsets in the UFC tournaments.

Looking forward to see the Nunes and Oliveira fights in the next UFC 269 event.
As there is another cancelled fight which was going to happen during this week on the December 5th card.

I do smell an upset with the main event as another site has it all explained here:

It was a really good UFC with the favorites in the main card winning their matches, even though Thug Rose was considered the underdog while being the champion offered by most bookies was sort of weird to see. I had here while she was 2.08x odds but seen it rise as high @2.11x. It fluctuated through the day but never dipped below 2.00x so that was a pure value bet all day long. And glad you jumped on it @buwaytress! Wink
Periera was the only one I believe that got a K.O and had their match end early out of all the main cards.
It was an amazing knockout win in the 2nd round and was disappointed it was only 1.66x odds to predict which round the K.O would occur.
So with his UFC debut and the only guy to knock out his kickboxing adversary Adesanya there he came to the UFC to come after his belt.
And from what everybody saw I think he will have a chance very soon.

Usman was of course Usman winning the fight but surprised he didn't knock him out (it was so close in the second round) for all the harassing about his father from Covington just before the fight during the conference.
Chandler losing the Gaethje was also a no-brainer but of course a no value bet in that if you didn't have some major amount on them to win.
Overall it was a decent UFC with no complaints.

The real funny moment was one fighter giving his opponent a round house kick knocking him out and then flipping and landing on his bottom.
Just like Kung-fu panda would do.
Now that was a highlight moment. The one who he was fighting even got a good laugh out of it, giving him a high five on getting the win in such a strange way like that because these were heavyset guys.

So football went pretty okay for me so I topped up a few of my bets and only Rose took me home last night. Bummah.

As for the Main Event, I won't bet an Usman since betting straight on him garners no value same with Gaethje.

Belated comment but yeah, maybe in football 1.2 or 1.3 I sometimes tag in on to an acca if I want a really nice boost on a game I know is won with a high certainty, usually when the opponent has a probably lineup that's set to try and attack on a super-offensive team.

But when it comes to UFC/MMA, I really can't see much value in 13/10 or 14/10 as it doesn't seem clear to me who'll win. Definitely feels like "upsets" happen much more often in individual sports than team ones. Reflected in the tight margins I think.

Oh nice thanks for the heads up on prediction threads, always nice to check out the promos from SB to see there are 2 or 3 to predict in a row Wink

I'm not martingaling anymore for this round, too many matches to pick from! But from the 5 biggest fights, I've picked every single underdog (heavy or marginally so as per odds). Usman's got a lot going for him, doesn't he? A little taller, a little heavier, but his long ass arms probably what my pick Covington has to watch out for. I always like people coming back for revenge, and even if this goes all the way, I'd like to think Chaos will make Usman pay dearly.

No. It was Nurmagomedov's brother Islam who beat him in the ring.
So guess who he got all his coaching and techniques from before each fight.
This guy was a killer in the Octagon before he retired last year.

As for the so called research, it is usually a gut instinct on how you think the night will go.
For this one I will go with: Namajunas, Edgar, and Quarantillo.
Same as what I have seen buwaytress also selected on his picks for the UFC main cards.
But I will back Gaethje instead of Chandler. As for the Main Event, I won't bet an Usman since betting straight on him garners no value same with Gaethje.

The funniest part of the press conference yesterday Grin

Long shot and going against the odds is what betting is all about. Because as we all already know the favorites can't win all the time and eventually lose.
Unless your Nurmagomedov.
Didn't know Hooker was going against his little brother or I would of thought about this match more then all the 5 second I actually did saying it will last ast 2.5 rounds. Ah well, need to do more research on these main bouts from now on.

Anyways, ON TO THE NEXT UFC EVENT 268! Grin
This one is going to be one of the best we have seen with three title shots for the championship belts mens and womens all in one night.

Hooker was going on his little brother?? How is it they have different names and even I did not come across any of that mention? Or did you mean only "metaphysically"  Cheesy

Anyway tell me what your big research ends up for the three big games. I want to put a parlay with boost on biggest odds,,, to try and change my luck from football for a while.

Even tho I believed Makhachev would take the win, I was also completely set on Hooker providing a grueling and long-lasting fight, but it just wasn't like that. Maybe Hooker jumped the gun here, by requesting a fight with Makhachev, he did not provide any opposition for the tried and tested Dagestani school of MMA.

And here I was just playing by the odds haha. Yes, I do normally take underdogs, especially long shots, but MMA seems a bit too certain when you see 11/10. I know I haven't followed the sport long enough but I haven't seen a 5/1 win, much less a 10/1 one. Anyone can point me to recent victories like this or can say if they're "common" enough like in football? Maybe football with 50 games a week appears to make it more common too, so it might be unfair for me to make the comparison.

Sorry about your Hooker bet, rdbase. He's tough to knockout there, but Islam the heavy favourite just ended it on Round 1 with submission, so no surprise there.

But very pleased with my pick on Texeira as he won by submission, and him winning completes my underdog martingale wins on both legs. Leaving me to start afresh with a new strategy and pretty decent profits!

Just missed out on Sandhagen as that ended on decision (though it was unanimous, so no complaints).

The vegas(fight night - then D.A contender series) one usually are and that is why everybody waits for the UFC at other venues to place bets on because they most always have exciting fights especially when there are title perhaps changing hands by the end of the night.

The UFC 267 challenge is up:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/sportsbetio-ufc-267-multi-master-challenge-103021-5367862

This one shouldn't disappoint but noticed alot of "-ov" in the last names of the opponents.
Look at the odds of Dan Hooker. Over 5.05x odds is very nice to take or even go the distance because he is tough to knock out.
Here are the lines for the event on October 30th:

Costa was the loud mouth without producing a win this bout again Vettori.
But yeah going the distance bet did payout nicely for those who thought it would.

I did notice superboost when I placed a bet on the last NFL match last night. So they do have them available if you check often.

Gotta be honest, the last few match nights have been dull for me. Even tried digging up news and videos. It's tough enough to have to follow all these sports after they actually took place, so the live excitement's missing, but personally feel like the last week nights missing bites. My imagination?

Anyway:

Superboosts are available on NFL, NBA, F1, cricket, tennis, football (or Soccer I guess if you North Americans insist haha). That I've seen, anyway.

Since they took down their Special Offers channel the superboosts have become fewer, but at least they're there for much longer. And it seems now to be a standard all-markets offer, but the only way to see it is to catch the announcements in main channel on Clubtalk, or to see the Rewards tab.
