Hello everyone,

Just wanted to touch base and let everyone know what's going on behind the scenes. Right now we are working out our monetary policy moving forward into Ultracoin's 100 million coin mark, this is a monetary policy that will set the block and staking reward for the next hundred years and beyond! We are taking our time planning out the schedule meticulously as I believe a currencies monetary policy is nothing to be overlooked, as you can see, many coins are already falling victim to hyper inflation or are suffering do to unfair distribution which has too heavily benefited the early adopters. This leads to consolidation of wealth and large dumps, not to mention that it fails to distribute the currency to the maximum amount of people possible, which is of course necessary for a healthily functioning crypto-economy. Especially for alternative currencies that don't have the widespread adoption and distribution like Bitcoin (yet I believe even Bitcoin will suffer do to 93% of the currency coming into existence by 2020 and 99% by 2028, hopefully crypto will become mainstream during this time http://tinyurl.com/b3an2g6).

As far as the coming N-Factor increase, this will be rolled back to NF15 during the next update, but until then expect the regularly scheduled increase to NF16 by tomorrow, Wednesday, April 29th, 2015. In order to have your mining rigs ready to mine Ultracoin please consult the following configuration generator for your specific GPU, this same configuration generator can be found in the About section of the official pools. http://cfg.ultracoin.net/

I am looking forward to releasing the future monetary policy of Ultracoin, and I believe it is something to be very excited about! Along with changes to N-Factor settings, we are really in a long term position for success. Looking forward to the future.

Sincerely,

Steven "Rapture"
Management Director

nice!

This was a pleasant surprise.  Been stuck in the jungle with no internet for a couple of weeks and managed to get a local to string my pocket WIFI up a very high coconut tree (for a bottle of rum).

All positive news - and thanks for the update Steven.

May it continue.

He's drunk most of the rum so I hope he can get my WIFI back...............

Nobody is doing anybody's work, i just said there are miners interested in a stable coin that is also useful.

Do you honestly think a handful of hobbyist miners are going to keep this coin going Huh If you want adoption your going to need new people getting involved

If these professional miners wanted the UTC community to know what they plan why are they sending you in to do their work? . . I'm taking this news with a pinch of salt. I have heard so many promises over the last 18 months I don't believe anything until it is done now.

The mining giants can come once UTC has a a much larger user base.  If one comes in now it would be bad news.

Mining giants do not back coins, they mine what is the most profitable to immediately sell.  Particularly for smaller coins they monopolize the mining discouraging current smaller miners and in almost every case the price of the coin plummets as all they are doing in immediately liquidating to BTC.

Pretty much one page back we are discussing UTC's niche, and that isn't attracting large mining companies mining for the sole purpose of selling as fast as they mine.  SHA, Scrypt and X11 and the multipools that profit hop have that covered.

Also there is a difference between the types of new people one can attract besides mining giants...there are also new users, there are new investors, there are new individual miners.  New people <> mining corporation.  I'd much rather attract a slew of new people interesting in UTC, not just in mining UTC for BTC.

+1 again Smiley

May I suggest for our H.K based friends http://wepaybtc.com/ , they have easy setup for GPU miners and daily payout in BTC which in turn they can use for buying UTC. If they really believe in UTC that would be one possible solution for them to get UTC and for the UTC network not to be monopolized by mining giants...?

Maybe the management and miners have a point. Maybe bumface messed up with the schedule. Maybe other people besides us think this. Maybe other people are willing to believe in UTC as well.

When did I mention hobbyist miners keeping this coin going?
The management mention they don't want to go along with the scheduled roadmap and all the miners come out the woodwork stating they don't want to alter anything as it will affect them, and also low and behold a magically mining team want to invest but only if we stick to the current Nfactor? Just thought it sounded a bit fishy!?

i have joined as an investor into an alt mining interest, i explained to them everything about UTC and they are interested.

If the n factor gets locked at 15 for a year like you guys have been proposing, they will begin mining and are willing to commit btc in staggered purchasing to get volume started. It wont be all in UTC, that will be divided amongst a couple other alts that they think have long term potential.

Some background on them: they are based in Hong Kong and are getting out of a certain big alt due to sinking prices and too much competition/block halving

You guys need to start wooing the larger mining companies to get on board with this.

Aint nobody got time for re-calibrating

Mining companies are a large part of what make things go to shit.  What benefit is there to UTC for a large company to come in and dominate mining, which now is dominated by individual supporters of UTC?  As a mining company their goal is to only to mine and sell, that helps nothing.

I suggest let them knoe about DigiByte. It is one of the best long term coins our there...

DGB will be just amazing in a few months later...
And this has what to do with UltraCoin exactly, aside from spamming this thread?

Can someone delete the above post as well as this post (or I'll edit mine) to rid this thread of this spam.

They have a ton and i mean a ton of hashing power that is no longer cost effective on asic coins, they are going to specialize in asic resistant coins with other attributes like speed or anonymity. I dont think digibyte fits the bill

They have noticed the uptick today too lol

Bittrex been steady on the rise too.

https://www.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-UTC

If you were in at 0.00000400 you'll see an easy 10x in no time Cheesy

Even if you bought now at 1400 you'd still 3-4x easily.
