Use yacminer, it's better with higher n factors, not ultracoinminer.

sages!
I ask your help.
ultracoinminer --scrypt-jane --gpu-memclock 1350 --gpu-engine 1070 --worksize 128 -g 1 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 24400 -I 9  -o Pool -u user -p password  --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 -d 1

card 280X only get HW (

if I write --thread-concurrency 165760  I get an error -4 or an error  -61

In doubt you could always PM thirty, he is active and a nice guy Wink
LIES!

Not nice or not active? Cheesy

@mitache cgwatcher can go nuts with command attributes, I find it best to extract config straight from the miner, then use it in cgwatcher
(You can do that by going to [S ]ettings -> [W]rite config file)

can you help with this config file fox 280x?

i'm trying to mine this since yesterday all i'm getting is video driver crashes .... Sad
Try 13.12 driver, although I was able to mine with 14.12 (Omega) as well. We're talking about AMD GPUs?

yes 6900's 7900's and r9 290's

tried 13.12 still driver crashes or no accepted shares

I've been watching crypto currencies for awhile now. Me and a friend are looking into building a machine to run 4 Saphire Tri-x R9 290x cards. I dont have a problem building the machine but everyone seems to have a different opinion about what the scrypt rate on the cards are (or any card for that.) My research says I should be able to get around 1MH/s per card but I've been seeing in some places where people are saying theyre only getting like 9.7KH/s. Could someone help clear up the card hashrates and/or direct me in the right direction if I am currently going the wrong way?

Thank you!

I will suggest you to do some more research. There are lots of algorithms used by various cryptocurrencies. Different algorithms can be mined "profitably" on CPU, GPU, and ASICs. For example

SHA-256D & scrypt are only profitable on ASICs or via Cloud Mining in long term.

X11,X13 etc are profitable on both AMD & nvidia GPUs if u mine the right coin

quark, qubit, scrypt-chacha/jane are right now more profitable on nvidia gpus

I dont have AMD GPUs so i dont know what they r good at.

I hope this helps.

And the 9.7KH/s might be for a scrypt-chacha/jane coin like ultracoin. This algo requires more memory for each hash so hashrates go down as GPU have limited memory/VRAM.

Just wanted to share this. I am using following config for NF16 for gtx 970 using cudaminer

cudaminer.exe -d gtx970 -q --algo=scrypt-jane:16 -L 8 -i 1 -l t32x4 -C 1 -b 65536

This is giving me 780h/sec & my APC UPS s/w reports ~154W of power usage.

Please share if you have a better config for gtx 970

Regards

Sam Smiley

Thanks.  Assume ~100watts for the 970 giving 7.8h/s/w.  Not appetizing enough to consider buying for the purpose of mining but OK if you already have for a gaming PC.

replaced some 280x toxic for gtx970 from warranty for 50bucks more each Smiley)
