Just wanted to share this. I am using following config for NF16 for gtx 970 using cudaminer

cudaminer.exe -d gtx970 -q --algo=scrypt-jane:16 -L 8 -i 1 -l t32x4 -C 1 -b 65536

This is giving me 780h/sec & my APC UPS s/w reports ~154W of power usage.

Please share if you have a better config for gtx 970

Regards

Sam Smiley

Thanks.  Assume ~100watts for the 970 giving 7.8h/s/w.  Not appetizing enough to consider buying for the purpose of mining but OK if you already have for a gaming PC.

Thanks! Seems like Ndivia's are much better for scrypt-n coins  Angry I am not sure 290x can brake 0.35Kh at NF16 or 1.5 at NF15.

You need to understand that being memory limited doesn't mean buying a 4GB 290x, it means buying the cheapest 4GB card you can.  A $70 card can do 1.1KH/sec @ NF15 and .3KH/sec @ NF16.

nVidia cards do the math faster on a clock-for-clock basis, that is true, but look at it on a $ per KH/sec basis and see what comes out ahead.

GTX 970 looks verry well with this hashrate(0.78 NF16). DO you know the hashrate 270x 4GB?
How many watts is the 970 pulling?

I have 2 R9 270x 2Gb and 2 R9 270x 4Gb. What's different settings i have to set? buffersize? but if i try to set buffersize for 4Gb card twice more than for 2Gb, i got a kernel error and card are OFF. May be i have to lower -R ?

On NF 16 I'm getting 205 h/s from R9 270x with ~14% HW errors (on 140 A there is 1 R and 20HW). Is this OK?

Can someone share hashrate for NF15/16 for AMD 285/290 cards? Also same for 750TI/gtx970/980? Thanks!

I've actually been able to push my memclocks to 1500, but that was in the scrypt days. Usually there's not enough difference in hash power for the heat generated, especially with asic resistance coin formulas. As it is, both my cards hover between 69 and 71 with the settings I posted (with help from some extra case fans).

I did partially figure the issue out tho and am now mining away. I pulled this out of the config:

--gpu-powertune 20 --queue 0 --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --no-submit-stale

So something in there really didn't work well with NF16. I'll do some experimenting later on as I fine tune.

I am running my memclock at 921 and coreclock is stock 1070 and getting 0.27kh/s. Also not stable here at NF16 but I made my windows to get restart every 4 hours and .batch in startup folder. Now looks fine. Waiting for NF15 again where was pretty stable Smiley

I'm getting one accept after a few minutes of mining and then I'm getting dropped by the pool (or at least it's showing no workers, even tho my cards are chugging away) with no further accepted shares. Running 2x 280x, about 275h/s. Nothing else has changed aside from the slight configuration updates fro N16. Any ideas?

can you share a batch for 280x ?

Here's what I am using:

yacminer.exe --scrypt-chacha --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388361600 -d 0,1 -R 1280 --buffer-size 2590 -g 1 -w 128 --lookup-gap 8 --gpu-engine 1200,1200 --gpu-memclock 1200,1200 --gpu-powertune 20 --queue 0 --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --no-submit-stale --temp-cutoff 90 --temp-overheat 85 --auto-fan

engine 1200 is too much OC for 280x card I think ?!

In doubt you could always PM thirty, he is active and a nice guy Wink
LIES!

Not nice or not active? Cheesy

@mitache cgwatcher can go nuts with command attributes, I find it best to extract config straight from the miner, then use it in cgwatcher
(You can do that by going to [S ]ettings -> [W]rite config file)

Thanks but something is not working for me but have no time to fix it!

Looking at yacminers docs shows some `api` functions similiar to those of cgminer (I am not sure if thirty based it on cgminer)
https://github.com/Thirtybird/YACMiner

Someone told me they had to rename Yacminer.exe to cgminer.exe and then everything worked as expected - I've never used this sort of config, so, your mileage may vary.

everything is working that way until I added --starttime..

I think I had it working with watcher out of the box.

Cgwatcher sadly wont work with ccminer as it doesnt have any api functions (luckily nvidia mining is rock solid, my 750tis havent restarted once Cheesy)
