Hi kiddo

Its not really an announcement but I want to let you know that things are happening in the background for the future of Ultracoin.

We have revived the coin from near death and played with a few small ideas to make UltraCoin more relevant.  These things don't really have what it takes to get UTC in the top 10 again.  We have to get "ahead of the pack" on technology, utility, relevance and future applications of the ideas that crypto has pioneered.  Thats the only way that UltraCoin will survive in the sea of alts and the BTC world.

Our current plan is far more grand than a few new wallets and tweaks - but it will take time and we rely on others developing some groundbreaking technology in the space.  Then we rely on them to come on board with UltraCoin and integrate things as UltraCoin developers. Things could go wrong, get delayed or progress may be suspended.  Nevertheless thats the path we are on at present and rest assured I will make an "announcement" one way or another just as soon as I can.

Cheers - usukan

Well then, this is good news that the team is working hard on the background. UltraCoin have a lot of potential and if the developement of this project will continue UTC will go to the moon. I'll keep my coins for the long run, I'm here to stay. Cheers!

Hi everyone,

I have one question, how much time does it takes to a coin to mature to start staking?

And anyone else mining with polaris cards? After some time I could get the my little 480 to work but didn't manage to extract alot from it, 4.6kh/s with -30% power limit, but if I try to increase intensity it gives me hw errors, is it a miner compatibility issue?

Usukan, good luck with the new dev and thank you!

also, Thanks Alenevaa, the pool is great!

Hi rpbarreto

From my experience it seems to take at least a week and more like 2 weeks before your coins are mature and likely to have the weight to be competitive in staking.

If you have only a few - it will take months (like 10-50k).  If you have 100 - 200k plus - yes 1-2 weeks.

Just for info - the new dev is a medium/long term plan. The plan is far more than a new dev - its more of a transformation of UltraCoin into something well beyond ETH.  Really - I joke you not!  We need to wait for other tech under development to be released before we can really move or announce anything.  Sorry about that but thats the situation.  So if you are patient and willing to hold on for maybe up to 6 to 12 months  - you will need leather gloves to hold on.  Thats my plan. Lets see how it goes.

Cheers - usukan

This is a huge announcement usukan! I'll hold my coins, thanks for the update!

Any news about further developement of this project? Is te team still active?

Hi gawlea

The team is working quietly in the background to deliver some significant developments with Ultracoin.

With the setback of Java.dev not delivering on the new Lite wallets we have gone back to the drawing board and are in early discussions with a new dev who may deliver some very positive opportunities for Ultracoin.

At present - we cannot release any detail - but rest assured we will announce plans as we are able so the community can discuss.

What happened to the payments from the pool http://utc.yacoin.club ? I have latest payout 12/07

Hi ManiacMiner

I contacted Alenevaa a few days ago about that.

I think he may be travelling at present and will fix up the pool when he has access.  He ALWAYS does.

I trust him 110% and I am still mining there too.

Cheers - usukan

Alenevaa has fixed up everything on the pool.

THANKS Alenevaa.

Cheers - usukan

Awsome! I'll point my gpu to the pool then. Thanks for the heads up!

How many UTC for a Masternode?

no such thing as a masternode in Ultracoin

Or are you selling a Dashcoin masternode and you want to know how many UTC I will give you?

Hi guys . Nice to see a small but growing community here. I had the time to read 90% of all of your posts ... and  I was looking for some alternate coins to mine ... The truth is that i need to get my investment back as i build up some 6x rx470 rigs , with a loan from the bank Smiley Stupid me ... i wish to be apart of something (even a small community , but to make my investment back as well Smiley)  ) . I am interested if you know , how much h/s i can get out from a 6x rx 470  rig because... i have 6 of these Smiley) .. and i reeally need to put myself on the road again .
I also googled UTC mining calculator and some info like that , and didn't find something useful (you should make something like that in the future to put it on the UTCtalk )
Thanks in advance .
       best regards

Wow, you actually borrowed money from the bank to be able to mine, that is heavy duty my friend. How much profit have you been able to make from it and have you been able do make any downpayments on the loan from mining.

Well , nothing yet . I just started from a week or two . I had some calculations like in 8 months i will be able to recover , but it seems that all criptos are going down in the moment , and i am loosing Smiley . I was mining eth , and now it seems that it's 130 $ ... from 300 $ ... so .. i am quite  ..........

Prices fluctuate massively in cryptoworld. Right now ETH is $212 and it's quite profitable to mine at the moment. If it stays at the current pricelevel you will get your money back, I would't worry about it, during wintertime you can also use your rig as a heater insted of an oven.

Too true Samthehero - only reason I mine is free heat in winter.  Just lucky to pick up some S9's in the last batch sold out in a day.

Anyone can tell me how much is the coin maturity for staking the coins? I think is more then 24h.

Leave at least 2 weeks or you're weight not enough - if you got only a few (less than 50k) you probably need to wait longer to get any weight.

Have you found the Yellow Sign?
Is there any chance of masternode implementation with UTC?

Hi usukan, how can I be a node for the network, i know i must put something in the conf file listen=1, server=1 or something. I can leave my wallet online 24/7 (finaly I'm full sync after 1+ week Cheesy ). Cheers!

Hi Kiddo - I will stop short of giving advice which will probably be incorrect.

Can somebody advise Kiddo here on how to set up a full node for Ultracoin?

@Alenevaa or @Presstab would be able to give you correct advice - maybe @bathrobehero also.

If nobody gets back here - maybe try PM these guys.

Otherwise until then - running your wallet 24/7 with staking will assist things.

Cheers - usukan
