The truth about this matter is that, ones any content has been uploaded to the Internet, it can be assessed by anyone, regardless of their age. Most times, for young ones, they end up finding their way around these contents even when there is a restriction placed to prevent them from accessing it. Now talking of the social media advertising gambling, I don't think it might be possible for them to actually focus on their target audience that much. Yes we should remember they have to spread out their promotion to get to a wider range so they might not be willing to add some restrictions. They won't even be aware who access their site except during kyc or other verifications. If a child is well guide by his parents, maybe there might be a limit to their visit off contents that is above their age like gambling.
that makes sense, because nowadays they are already familiar with the internet and cellphones where they can always do what they want, especially with things related to games or video games, of course they will do whatever they can to be able to do it. get what they want until finally they can find their own way to achieve what they want. and I think one of them is that all young people definitely have their own cellphones and with that they are no longer strange about VPN applications, which is an application that can make them access something that was previously inaccessible and can be accessed easily, and this is an example that they can find a way out of problems about what they want.
Of course, the casino will not set certain restrictions, with the only requirements being to register, usually an active cellphone number, email and account number. Of course, this is easy to access for everyone who is fluent in operating a cellphone. It's not surprising that many young people are already familiar with gambling because with the development of technology, gambling has also been developed by placing advertisements and it's not just one casino, it could even be said that hundreds or thousands of casinos place advertisements on social media. and I think that even if their parents set limits, there is little chance that they will not gamble because their external environment will influence them, unless they themselves have an awareness of not wanting to do something that is really risky.

That is the more reason why gambling shouldn't be hidden from the young ones and most people basically practice anything they see online more especially when they come from celebrities or influencers that is the reason why people need to educate their children with proper knowledge of the things happening around them so that when they hear it outside, they won't be misled or misinformed.

Yes it's very important to let your children know all this information from you before getting it outside either from friends or read them by social media, for those parents who in one way or the other gambles and most of them save it keeps their betting slip's any how, hidden information like this put the children into very high risk as they must be curious to know about the betting or gambling outside your knowledge that may mislead them.
When a child starts hiding his bets slip it means that it's either the parents of the children are against what the child is doing, so the best thing one should do as a parent is never to give a child a second thought of gamble until the child is up to the age he can gamble. Why 18+ years is permitted to gamble is because at that age they could know what to do and what not to do.

At that age they held responsible from their actions but as a parent we still need to continue guiding them especially if they are involved into gambling,  I think your statement happens with those young minds who are already in this industry those young adults who already have an access to gambling site, they will hide those betslip as they knew their parents or guardians will stop them or will get mad at them, it's best to give a good guidance to those young people as you need to inform them that not all that they are seeing online that being promoted should be followed, gambling is a risky industry that most of the time created problems to an individual who can't handles addiction.

Yes, maybe that's good, but I don't think it's impossible that in the end a child could try something that is prohibited by adults, especially their parents, because after all, children are those who still have a fairly unstable mindset and also have a high enough level of curiosity within themselves that it is possible that in the end they will be able to try something that is prohibited by adults on the basis of curiosity. On the other hand, I am sure that a child is not too motivated by something that can make money such as winning at gambling because for a child at that age it is more their priority to play or try various things that make them curious, meaning there is little chance for a child to think about making gambling as a place to earn.

But on the other hand, the problem of telling them from an early age about education that should be avoided, in my opinion, does not mean it is impossible that they could try it. So in my opinion it is better not to tell them about anything related to gambling, even if for example the information contains a prohibition for good, because the object is that they are small children whose thinking patterns are still unstable and have quite high curiosity, and besides that, if you really Knowing that now the circulation of gambling can occur anywhere, such as from environmental factors and online media, this clearly means that you must be more able to protect and limit your child from socializing too much and also limiting the use of internet media.

Fact. There is a saying; "A child that will misbehave will still misbehave", no doubt but this is to some extent as many with the right parental training follow the path set for them. This is also applicable to many of us, at one point in our lives we deliberately violated some rules out of curiosity to find out some stuffs that our parents did not want us to know.
So I will say many of them act out of curiosity and end up not coming back, in essence we all need to try our best because it getting out of hand especially social media posing more increasing on every body with enticing incentives which ain't true.
Exactly, it is as if people forget what kind of behavior they had when they were young, at such time your brain is still developing, so even if you know something is wrong and it could affect you negatively, you may still do it because you lack self-control or simply because you want to go against the rules to show your independence, so many teenagers that had everything going on with their lives, end up throwing it away and then the parents are blamed in an unjustified way.
You are so right. I remember vividly how we intentionally go against the norm to do awkward things just for the experience. Sometimes when I reminisce on my childhood, I will laugh and wonder what I was think to do some of the things I did. Well gambling was not one of those things though because I started gambling intentionally without any pressure from anyone.... just dream game that I won brought me into gambling. The only thing I did not try was smoking even though it was fashionable among kids then.

I don't know if this youthful exuberance is the reason there is growing number of underage gambler. It could be but there is no data to back it up. With the impact of social media, things should even be way worse than it was during my time as a kid. Now many wrong things are seen as trend with many people keying into them.

I guess you are right.
Teenagers specifically tend to misbehave because they want to be independent and I think at some point in my life I had been in that position too. Misbehaving because I want to prove I can live by myself and I don't need my parents.
But all of that went south and that was when I came back and said how sorry I am. Our parents will always love us because they will still welcome us with open arms but when you are in the same position as your parent, as much as possible that won't happen to them.
They now learn a lot of new things thanks to social media, we didn't have that kind of perk before as all we know is to play outside and be a kid. Today's era is different, they are mostly in front of their phones watching their favorite Youtubers which sometimes could be harmful as some of them are putting gambling ads after their videos.

And I disagree, a parent could do everything right, like setting parental controls on the electronic devices of their children, spend time with them, and warn them about the dangers of specific behaviors, and if the kid still engage on those behaviors then there is nothing the parents can do, this is very similar to the experiences many of the parents of addicted teenagers go through, in which their parenting is questioned and a great deal of them did everything to prevent that situation to happen and it still happened anyway.

Children will not say that they will not misbehave, it is for their are not to allow them exposed to some certain things right from their early stage, we have the right to influence the desired change we want to see happen in their lives, social media has a lot on impact on the society and the children we gave birth to in the community, all we must ensure to do is in having a deliberate intentions over the influence of what they receives from the society.
People including children are mainly influenced by those they associate with and the internet has made it even more expanding especially with social media whereas people and children are influenced by those they follow and the content they watched.

In some countries, it will be much easier for underage to be restricted in gambling whereas in some this is not actually the case, that's some might easily get access to a Mastercard or might be knowledgeable to use cryptocurrencies to gamble online while some might not face any issues going to a gambling shop to place bet which is more common in my country.

younger peeps are in the age of being curious in everything, like they really want to try new things that they see in social media even if there's a disclaimer that some contents are not suitable for their age that's why they need more guidance because they are prone in any bad thing that may happen. Influencers usually put a disclaimers in their contents that's why we cannot blame them because they just do it for the sake of money, however other influencers are intentionally display their content to catch up some viewers for their engagements.
Many kids have gone wayward in the mordem times due to social media, in some medias advertiding +18 rated contents have become very normal and most kids are currently gettng exposed to those contents including gambling as well since most gambling platforms use them or pay influencers to advertise their business. Well i don't blame those influencers though since they're doing their job.

It is the duty of those social media platforms to create policies that would restrict underaged people from creating an accounts with their platforms, you don't expect influencers not to do their jobs because their are underaged kids they’re not even aware of using the platforms and viewing their contents, the least they could do is advise underaged people from gambling and the effect it has on them.

It's hard to stop people from accessing that anything they wanted to via internet, they simply can create a gmail account it won't even take a minute and all they need to do is enter wrong date of birth so creating strict policies doesn't do anything at all. But what about we can do is to create awareness about gambling and don't keep it as taboo subject anymore and teach kids about why gambling is bad when it's done out of control instead of teaching genders. Cheesy
Yeah to be honest gambling is like sex as we need to educate all kind of people to be aware of it's consequences if done wrong. Do you agree with me on this? Internet is the source of everything no doubt about that with these two examples so we badly need knowledge to perfectly deal with things that is inevitable to happen along the way.

This is why I have always thought that kids and teens have a responsibility to share as well, the access to anything that we may want has become easier than ever during the last decades and this tendency will do nothing else but to get worse, so parents cannot be held completely responsible when their children misbehave, because at the end the ones that will suffer the negative consequences of their actions are the children themselves, so they need to do their part too if they do not want to end up with an addiction problem at such an early age.
if you are still a child, then bad deeds must be borne by their parents. and that can be considered the fault of parents who are negligent in educating their children.
It is indeed very difficult to supervise the bad things that children do. there is a tendency for children not to open up to their parents. but if you are a parent I think when you see something unusual about your child, you will notice it. and the role of parents is important to guide in this matter.
At least you have to know what your child does when playing and who they play with. The problem is that it is difficult for us to control our children in the world of social media.

A lot of social media influencers especially vloggers and YouTubers are promoting gambling usually at the end of their vlogs or videos.
I could see a huge contribution and spread of information that they made especially during this time where the majority are using smartphones already. In fact, we've been seeing a massive increase in gamblers and online gambling sites. But how this could affect the mindset of the kids when they are also seeing these ads/promotions from the social media influencers they followed? I could be wrong but this has a mental effect on them and at a very young age, they are exposed to gambling already which is supposedly not the right time.

I think these influencers must know their target audience before accepting the offer or should not be included in their vlogs or videos?

The point is, when everything is easily accessible then of course, anything will be easy to do including gambling and probably many other things that have basically affected children. It's unfortunate indeed, but whatever the government does, at least it won't be entirely successful because after all, if they have become addicted and continue to want to try it then of course they will also be able to make efforts to be able to do so. So yes, in this case it is indeed appropriate for influencers to be able to make good considerations, and not only about the benefits that will be obtained, but they also (the influencers) must be able to consider the impacts that will be caused as well. So yes, the point is to be able to control yourself and not be greedy to accept and or do it just because you get a big profit.

So if I may ask, who is to be blame then, is it parents (i.e for exposing these kids have access to Internet connection?), or the government (i.e for neglecting implimenting policies to regulate this?), or the Social media CEO's (i.e for allowing such contents on their platforms?) or the kids themselves for allowing influencers influence their decision and actions?. Who is to be blame then? Because for me, training up a child has never been an individual task, but a collective responsibility of both parents, the society and government for providing favorable environment for learning.

So how can such prevention be implemented, or do social media platforms need to start organizing a physical registration screening? Because inasmuch as it's online registration, there will always be chances kids bypassing such protocol.

they just don't care about it, because the most important thing for them is how they can make money from the promotion. they don't care who their audience is and who they get the money from or what brand they promote, the important thing is that they can get money and that's enough for them.

if we say they don't care about this, that's not true, but it's just that most of these influencers are stupid, so they don't know what they are doing, promoting something that is very vulnerable to children.
It's true, an influencer or even the host certainly won't care about who is gambling, of course they will only think about profit, what they want is to attract more people to gamble because more and more people are gambling, of course. the more they will profit. even if the audience is gambling with their last money or they are gambling with money from a loan it will not affect the influencer or the host, whatever the situation of the audience they will not care, even if they experience ruin in their lives, the influencer and the host will not care.
In my opinion, influencers are certainly not wrong because they only carry out what their superiors tell them to do, even if what children see or do is none of their business. because the important thing is that they will get benefits from every player. After all, the influencer and the host certainly don't force them to continue gambling until they lose a lot of money. Nowadays, the majority of people are attached to the internet and social media and that can make them easily interested in gambling and gambling.
Logically right, influencers are only after the money, they will create content that seems it easy to win against the house having a collab most of the time from the casino owners and make it looks real, those influencers easily earn the attentions of those viewers who at first follow them from a great content that they've made.

Eventually when offers comes up, those influencers who at first have a decent content starts to bring gambling from their original content, making it as their main content.

They will do everything to bring more gamblers and like what you said, the more gambler the better compensation that they will going to recieved.

I think not all influencers care about that, usually what they think about is how to make money when many of their followers gamble through their affiliate links, but not all influencers are like that, there are also those who warn minors not to try gambling because it is very It's risky, I've seen influencers like that, but it comes back to the audience and as parents of course we know how to limit what our children watch, at least make settings on their cellphones not to access anything related to gambling.

At this time we cannot completely limit it, that's why as parents we have to maintain limits on what our children have access to, returning again to the role of parents in looking after their children, the point is to explain that what they watch is not all pleasant. and not a good example, especially gambling because there are many risks in it so it must be kept away from children, at least it doesn't affect their minds, that's why I always stay away from anything related to gambling advertisements from my child's cellphone because I'm worried he will learn about it without good control. .
