I think these influencers must know their target audience before accepting the offer or should not be included in their vlogs or videos?
I have seen lots of influencers promoting scam gambling site, most of them don’t even care to make research about the project they are promoting, as long as they are going to be paid well, then they are accepting the offer, they only care about themselves, and they don’t care about the negative impact the gambling site will be causing to society.

Whenever I see any influencer promoting any project and am interested in it, am always taking my time to do my research before I put my money, I don’t just into it because the promoter is a influencer, because I know all what they care about is money.

In the past, I tried looking for a blocker plugin that best suits smartphones today but it's not easy if it's an application they are installing. An example is Facebook, there's really no way to block those advertisements because they are part of the video that was created by the streamers. Sure, we can do the blockers in the web browsers but not many kids use those anymore. They always rely on newer applications that would best serve their interest. TikTok is another example that is so hard to prevent or filter the better clips for kids.
Youtube found a way by creating Youtube kids but when they grow up, they think it's only for babies. Grin
Filtered internet becomes a problem for us adults especially if we have websites that needs access for our jobs and then you will just find out that it's affected by the blocker.
That's right, Facebook is filled with paid advertisements that you cannot block, and sometimes they're malicious as well, and it's not just Facebook but other platforms, like Instagram and especially TikTok. The latter is filled with so-called influencers who are promoting Ponzis, pyramid schemes, fake signal groups, and sports predictions. It's really frustrating because I haven't seen any proper action taken against them in order to effectively protect their users.

I've never fallen victim to their scams, but someone who isn't as knowledgeable about technology can easily be tricked, and filtering such advertisements isn't possible.

Social media is effective in every field today. Technology brings everything to us with a click. Our children may face many risky categories today, including gambling. We need many things to protect our children from the internet. I think we cannot regulate influencers or advertisements. But we can take measures to protect our children. For example, we can use ad blocker plugins. Or we can use filtered internet. But we should only do that up to a certain point. When our children become adults, we should let them be free.

God is great
A lot of social media influencers especially vloggers and YouTubers are promoting gambling usually at the end of their vlogs or videos.
I could see a huge contribution and spread of information that they made especially during this time where the majority are using smartphones already. In fact, we've been seeing a massive increase in gamblers and online gambling sites. But how this could affect the mindset of the kids when they are also seeing these ads/promotions from the social media influencers they followed? I could be wrong but this has a mental effect on them and at a very young age, they are exposed to gambling already which is supposedly not the right time.

I think these influencers must know their target audience before accepting the offer or should not be included in their vlogs or videos?
These social media influencers they are role models to lots of fans that believes in them so much and the way they promote this gambling companies,  its just as if they are making good money from gambling and with the love their fans have for them if care is not taking it can just lead them to give a try to see if truly their is money in it.  These social media influencers promote gambling with good confidence like if one should start playing one will start making money.

Promoting gambling is not bad but when promoting it, it is good to let people have a better understanding on how it should be promoted because right now the rate at which people are addicted is very high. It is better for promoters to be open to tell gamblers to play responsibly and with the Amount they afford to lose.

There’s a lot of irresponsible influencers on social media and they are just promoting a casinos just for the purpose of referrals. The social media platforms should filter this one because many are already exposed to gambling site because of this new trend of promotions, this is actually alarming. If you are one of those influencers, better to be more responsible and promote only good site, if you are into just money hope you consider what is the effect of that to others.

There are also a lot of irresponsible people who are using social media, they cant filter themselves on what to follow or watch.
We should not blame those influencers only but we should also blame those who cant be responsible for themselves while using social media.
They cant filter their audience when they are working to promote gambling, but they can give notification or even speech as warning.
We cant control them, they can promote any site, we as viewers are those who should be responsible for ourselves.

I'm not against social media influencer promoting gamble, but what I'm complaining is the fact that, most of these influencer do lots of exaggeration  on the casino or site thus making it seem very easy to make money from. But one thing is for sure, it is left for you to make the decision whether to check it out or just ignore it. But for beginners, they'll definitely want to check it out. However some influencer have lost some of their reputation by just running ads for a low quality casino site.

Understanding what the purpose of companies advertising is to attract many people and get profits, to be able to attract many people and a lot of profit, of course, the company will do tantalizing things with its advertisements, one of which is the easy victory obtained even though the reality is the opposite of that. That is a natural thing because indeed their goal is to make a profit, now if the company advertises with only the usual or monotonous flow, of course it will not attract the attention of many people, therefore all companies must advertise as interesting as possible, not even with gambling advertisements.

Those casinos that place super attractive advertisements by saying that it is easy to get a win will not care about gamblers who lose, especially with a lot of losses because that is their goal. But the company certainly does not force everyone to spend their money on gambling, it's just that I think it's the judges who are a lot of wrong responses to gambling who think that winning is easy to get like in the advertisement, that's the problem.

All these gambling influencers don't care who their audience are, you don't expect them to question each person viewing their content about gambling, they believe that as far as they're getting more audience and getting paid them they're good to go, now I think the social media platforms have a big role to play when it comes to situations like these, most gambling sites have restricted people below 18 from gambling i think the social media platforms should emulate that as well.

Currently there are many +18 rated stuffs ongoing in the media and that's why teenagers below 18 should be restricted from using the media because at that age they could be easily influenced by illegal stuffs, parents also have a big role to play as well, they should put a child lock on their phones to restrict kids from having access to their social media accounts while they're not aware.

The case is the same, in my country gambling is also considered an illegal activity, but there are lots of influencers who promote gambling sites. and I think this is a normal thing, considering that the economy in my country is not good, unemployment is everywhere, and it is difficult for someone to get a decent job. This difficulty can really make someone short-minded, so they do something reckless, taking a job as an influencer on an online gambling site even though it is against the law. Because the most important thing for him is how he can have an income so he can meet his needs to survive.
Most countries usually make it illegal gambling apart from games which are full of risks. There are many negative impacts from gambling itself and it is feared that it could influence the thinking of teenagers in the future when they get to know gambling earlier. In fact, there are many job opportunities if these influencers are willing to work to earn good money. It's cleaner, isn't it by promoting gambling, it seems like influencer work is not as difficult as people who work in real life where they have to struggle to find work, whereas job influencers will come by themselves, perhaps by promoting beauty equipment, household furniture, food and many more, so promote Gambling is not the only way to become a job that these influencers justify.

Unless social media has an age limit for users, it is legal for the influencer to promote gambling without worrying about children being able to see what they are promoting because the use of social media nowadays is very worrying, especially if children are not supervised by their parents, they can do things which is beyond the limits like playing gambling like an adult.

Funny thing that when I was reading your post, there is a perfect example that I want to share with everyone.

There is a famous GM in Chess named Hikaru Nakamura which is widely known as one of the greatest chess blitz player in the world. He is also famous in the chess community since he consistently posts videos on YouTube about his games and moves. Also, he streams regularly where he created a community due to the rising popularity in chess. Basically, it is like you are watching a wizard do magic tricks in the chess board which makes him very entertaining to watch.

Recently, he streamed and he suddenly played gambling games where he asked his viewers to explain on how online gambling works on that game. When people tried to call him out on his stream, those people were banned from replying.

Now, do you know the dangers of the actions that he just did? His whole viewership consisted of both beginners, adults, GMs, and even KIDS who want to learn or at least witness his greatness on the chessboard. This created a potential danger to his community especially if it peaked the interest of kids (as kids are naturally inquisitive and curious) as we already know on how gambling is addicting.

OP is right, but we can't put all the blame on influencers or ads promoters, they are simply doing that for monetary value which for me isn't bad. They have built a system with followers, so it's left for you to sign up or not.

We have seen different gambling sites promoted but we didn't still sign up for, why because we didn't see any cordial reason to, that's same thing, if you train your ward properly I don't think there is any need for fear. The only solution is you knowing those you follow and listen to on social media platforms.
It indeed depends on the person and those promoting or advertising gambling platforms aren't the only ones to be blamed for it because what they are doing is only for them to earn a living, you don't need to follow what they do or say because they are doing what is right for them and you are supposed to do what is right for you, and for an individual, not getting involved in gambling, or trying not to become addicted should be the right thing for them to do.

If I'm a content creator on YouTube, and I'm promoting a casino platform because they are paying me for it, I wouldn't want my subscribers to become addicted gamblers but I would want them to gamble for fun and don't get carried away only because I'm promoting gambling because I have a different motive behind doing that.
That's a risk that you are taking when you are making that kind of situation. I have seen this from even the simplest things, like for example if you are a fan of a team in sports and you make videos regarding that team, and share stuff on twitter, you are going to get hate from not only opponent teams but also even if you say one wrong thing they disagree with then even the fans of that team will end up saying something indecent to you as well. That's why it's quite important to realize that we are not going to get anything reasonable with these streamers, because they can't control what others are doing.

I personally believe that we are not going to get all the same fans, some viewers will do it as a hobby while some others will do it as addiction and the streamers can't make anything about that.

Influencer marketing is the effective as well as most economical way of advertising in these era, Google itself has their own advertising plans but its kind of expensive so casinos choose the creators for collab, sponsor or even complete promotion of their site in different ways.

The only legit site I saw via this kind of marketing is Stake apart from that every gambling sites are scams still the influencers promote them cause they were paid decent amount for doing.

Its unstoppable, unless Google decided to bring changes in the policies regarding promoting by the creator.

We are already familiar with something like what you said regarding gambling, social media, influencers, streamers and so on. if we talk about impact, yeah we agree. But for me, whatever it is, it has an impact, whether positive or negative. yeah, back to each individual. as you said in this thread and post, it is clear there will always be an impact, especially if we look at it from a negative side. as well as current technology, everything makes it easier for us to use and utilize it, including things that have a negative impact. We don't need to talk too far about online gambling, but the origins of why we can access various things even by sitting in front of our computer screen. or, the smartphones that we often use.

The internet is a connection to everything we can access, watch, play and everything that is useful for us. So, are there any bad effects? yeah, if you look at it from a bad perspective. no different from gambling, influencers, streamers, and all things related to gambling. If things are related to ages 18+ and above, of course they should not be accessed by children who are not yet ready to understand so that they are not exposed. If influencers deliberately let taggers be all ages, that means it's our job to protect it for ourselves. The way to do it, yeah, is by limiting everything we can access, especially so that our children don't see it and are exposed to it. If we don't do it ourselves, who else should do it, don't talk about how to stop them or how to get one of the influencers to limit their audience more. because, it's useless unless the regulations or ToS of the media they use limit it.

That's why the government needs to regulate social media platforms regarding the content that their users promote. Even though it may seem like it is limiting freedom of speech, in this case it will prevent young children from being exposed to gambling-related content from an early age and it will prevent potential children from entering gambling and playing on platforms promoted by these influencers. And it is also important for parents to be able to control what platforms their children can access, so that they will not see content that they should not see at that age.

After gambling ban on twitch, they are now pestering the facebook social media which Zuckerburg doesn’t care at all to moderate this kind of game. The problem on this influencers nowadays is they are showing huge amount of bets that attracts users to gamble.

We all know here that they are just using demo account but innocent people that is none gambler find it interesting that will lead to trying it themselves. This is the reason why gambling addiction is rising due to this newly converted gamblers from this influencers that just enter on gambling content. Government should address this immediately to contain gambling streaming in moderated environment.

Influencers promote for money. Because influencers have a huge following that when they see their favorite people promoting something, they believe in it and use it. For this, gambling companies tailor their marketing strategy by targeting influencers. So we should accept one thing that gambling is always a bad thing so no matter who promotes it it will be bad so influencers should not be encouraged to gamble by seeing the promotion. Children are also attracted to gambling by seeing these promotions.  So be careful of them

as more people work and make money from social media platforms those restrictions will become increasingly difficult to enforce. The government can limit advertising on platforms but for streamers who advertise directly on their videos that will be difficult for the government to manage.
The important role lies with families in observing and directing their children's habits in their activities on social media. I think parental control is more important than government efforts.
and last but not least, streamers working to advertise gambling sites need to be more thoughtful in how they deliver their ads. they have to know the sector of their followers. if they are streamers such as gaming where most of their followers are young people, it is better not to promote gambling. that would have a really bad impact on young people with high curiosity.

To be honest with you, at this stage we in in terms of technology, businesses like gambling casino no longer care about who  sees their ads, and so is vloggers and YouTubers as well.
Personally, I feel it has become the sole responsibility of the parents to look after their children, what exactly should a child below eighteen years of age be doing with a smart phone in the first place?
This is a very serious question I think parents needs to answer, I can't keep blaming casinos and online promoters of online gambling casinos, they are just doing their business and I believe it's never their wish to promote their services to underaged children and teenagers, but unfortunately, most parents have failed in their responsibility to their wards, a child or teenager below the age of eighteen years shouldnt be allowed to be using a smart phone, because even aside gambling, there are other things the child may end up doing with the phone that may eventually destroy their life and future.

Well you can't actually blame the influencers themselves because with the rate at which everyone is exposed to social media,  regulations aren't really put in to actually stop the particular age that aren't supposed to see this and that's why many people get it all tangle up especially the young ones that are glued to their mobiles 24/7. Most of these social influencers aren't really gamblers themselves but they just do what they do just for the sake of paid advertising.

That's why the government needs to regulate social media platforms regarding the content that their users promote.
