Real time trade engine is I believe in the works. Part of the website deployment project. This is more about security though, rather than getting a service up. Nothing more long term damaging than a system failing on launch.

Absolutely security is the prime concern, and as it stands thee "old school" trade methods are indeed secure to a point. (Not knocking that).

With so many exchanges getting "hacked" and markets pulling exit scams it is refreshing to see a group of people that just want to do honest trading. Smiley

Website is happening.

Super excited to see this come to fruition and I have to say a big thanks to Craig for his time and dedication. This stuff isn't easy and its great to see people who walk the walk instead of talking the talk.

I'm onto making a logo but it would be great to get some input. I'm a 'would be' designer, i.e. If I wasn't already something else I'd be a designer, so some additional support and ideas are welcomed as I struggle through the process.

Lol thanks for that.
I don’t know about serious, how about mildly optimistic about blockchain technologies and the future.
Uno - ex is a great idea I believe because of the coin it is tied in with and the idea of it.
The reason I believe it is a great idea, (and the reason I even made this account to participate).
Business is and always has been, always will be community.
Trustless, look at all the scammer threads.
Theory is there, practice not so.
is the reason eBay has feedback scores.
Is the reason, people fly to US and Europe for meetings, (other than the sightseeing).
it will happen but slowly.
One step at a time and this idea has potential, so gotta give it a go.
..................
Plus has an Aussie chapter, gotta be good.
Once I have made a few Unos, I will swap for a plane ride to meet in person.
Just need something to sell you guys now, that translates into bytes. hehe.
regards,
Tacktic.

Big warm welcome, please, to DVC holder number 12, Tacktic.

Tacktic is gonna be a serious player in this community. He has skills that we need.

There's a clear and fine pattern emerging here, campers: coiners with vision, with a conviction that no man is an island; a good few boomers, with an interest in bullion; and overall -- young or old -- skills to bring to the table.

My thoughts were that it would be nice to see Uno-EX run on a real-time trade engine such as #bitcoin-otc uses. Open source code is located at: https://github.com/nanotube/supybot-bitcoin-marketmonitor.git (This includes the trade bot and the website) As IMZ pointed out, bullion and related items are a holy grail for UNO. Would be much easier to follow on a dedi platform. Just my two satoshi though.

Hi siameze, welcome to you and thank you for weighing in! Quality suggestion there, thank you. I'll check it out shortly.

[IRC channel]

An 'instant/always-on' compliment to forum discussions is something that makes sense to me. Could do it through IRC or could do it through an integrated chat widget on a central project website with a link to its own forums, etc. Good idea!

@ IMZ Yes I discovered Unobtanium by reading your posts on r/cryptocurrency. It was nice to see such gentlemanly conduct in a sea of trolls.

@ Siameze: I love the Shibes (I hang out here: http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency ] They enjoy their crypto-coinin' and they lead the way in developing 'transactional volume.'

And hang in here: bigbigbig stuff happening v. shortly.

@ Tacktic: I apologise to him. I am a dummy: he is Verified. His DVC ('the precious') should turn up today.

And: Tacktic and I had a great phone conversation about using Reddit etc. for general development. IndiaMikeZulu is working on a 'neutral-ground project' with another crypto that we hope will soon be traded (NOTE/Uno) here -- mutual benefit!

The point is that T. and I can (even with our lamentable compu-skills . . . ) co-operate to run threads on Reddit etc.

A website would be a good idea, yes.
I am definately not a computer dev type geek, so no idea how that happens.
I would support it though.

@ Siameze, we relish your two satoshis' worth! I will pass the link to our Website dev.

Meanwhile, bear in mind that building the trust-alliance is a The Thing. We are gonna 'leverage off it.' First and foremost -- over a year or two -- aggregating enough capital to wholesale Uno.

And yeh: I gotta learn this IRC thing.

Mark, Western Australia

Thanks IMZ. I love you guys, I believe you have one of the friendliest and most helpful communities this side of dogecoin.

IRC will be as easy as opening a webpage and typing when I have the server up and running. Working on finishing up another project but I assure you I am raring at the bit to work on something Unobtanium related. Wink

Also, still waiting on my silver wallet. Salivating over that I am. I whipped up a vanity UNO address just for the occasion.

@siameze

Where R U?

but yes I don't mind if UN-EX utilizes an IRC.
why not?

the freenode might be dead right now, but if things pick up in pace that might be the best trading pit in real time.

your thoughts?

At any rate, I think this will be an exciting project and I look forward to seeing where it goes. Smiley

@ Siameze: lookin' forward to developments.

As community developers, we've given a lot of thought to the How Many Branches of Media Is Best? problem. I tread on some toes 'cause I think fewer-branches-but-kept-vibrant is better than more-branches-but-no-activity.

You may be quite right IMZ, so it is doubtful I can be of any assistance to you with this exchange. My methods are old school and reliable lol.

I do wish you guys luck with this project, I will continue to follow the general Unobtanium thread.
