Seems to be coming along quite nicely. Smiley

And don't worry about the learning curve for irc, IMZ. I hope to have a little contribution to make that easier along towards Friday. Pace is picking up for me here.

Woo hoo!

Although we shan't announce it formally until tomorrow's Daily Post, 'CD' -- a follower of IndiaMikeZulu (has coin in our vault) -- has put up two Bitcoin for Core-tanium. The idea makes sense to her.

And we have four Bitcoin 'incoming' -- a whole biggie lot for lil ol' IndiaMikeZulu -- to 'back' Project Hoover.

Morning, Siameze. I haven't cracked IRC yet. Am just learning the Google conference thingie with cragv.

But ask me any questions you like, either here or on PM. I will patiently answer them. (Wow! You've turned up at a good time. There's a lot going on!)

Don't forget: gettin' you some precious DVC comes after you get your 'Trusted Trader Rating.' Have a look here (the link is in my signature):

@ Siameze:

the bullion thing will come into focus. Different coins attract different communities. Unobtanium -- a 'serious' coin [ http://coinwarp.net/altcoins/unobtanium-0-inflation-cryptocurrency ] -- has attracted serious coiners; and there was this sort of 'Aha! moment' when we realised just how many of us hold bullion.

The silver thing is a practicality. IndiaMikeZulu did a bunch of research, and it seemed to us (here in Western Australia [Perth Mint]) that 10-oz bars of silver were simply the most economical product. (I look forward to learning more about bullion from you as we go.)

Since then, a number of our projects have become connected through The Bullion Thang. For example, 'national chapters': it makes sense that some aspects of crypto-coining happen on a national basis ('currency zone,' whatever): postage costs, postage risks, legalities, etc. We Austtralians, for example, have tapped into a source of silver via a Un-Ex member.

We are developing 'P-WIPping,' which enables people who know and trust each other to trade coin by using Internet-banking transfers. ['Peer-to-peer; Website, Internet-banking, Phone']

Finally, we are avid theorists, with a particular interest in the relations between the community and the crypto. This resulted in Distributed-Vault Coin, a coin that is traded only on Un-Ex.

Mark

I am researching the DVC more and would like to chat you guys up in irc. I found an Unobtanium channel on freenode, but it was pretty dead. I live on the other side of the pond, but can be flexible with hours @IMZ if I can catch you in there. Wink

Tacktic, you're welcome to them all if it suits IMZ. I just listed my trade because it's what I have sitting in my BTC wallet and I prefer to camp in UNO rather than BTC! Obviously it'd be convenient for me to be able to buy 3 while you took 7 - but I have no emotional investment here. Whatever suits IMZ's Hoover project is fine, including 0 for me. Totally fine either way. Cheers.

EDIT. I mis-read your post, Tacktic. Specifically, you said "the balance of the 10" - I interpreted you asking for all 10! My post stands (you're welcome to all of them if desired) - I'm sure IMZ will explain the cost of selling in BTC vs. in AUD as part of his Hoover project, which runs on BTC. I'm completely happy with 3, 2, 1 or 0 UNO here, whatever suits. Thanks gents.

Imz,
Cragv has replied with 88.
I am happy to buy the balance of the 10 in AUD via paypal, my offer, adjusted at number 86 if you are happy.
I don't have any BTC, ATM.
I would need you to send me an email, so I can forward to your paypal email address, if you have one.
As I dont have much of either am looking to trading my way to a stake in UNO, over time.
Regards,
Tacktic.

Project Hoover is back ('cause Uno's price has levelled out). The size of the 'packets' will increase in coming months.

Actually, Siameze, crypto-for-bullion is one of our Holy Grails!

Un-Ex -- it's vital to understand -- is an experiment. We have a whole range of projects underway, and we pour energy into them.

If you have a moment, read the first post of this thread. And there are some texts here: http://indiamikezulu.com.au

So far, The Bullion Thing has gone hand in hand with one of those experiments, the 'national chapters' thing -- we shall explain. In brief, though: crypto-for-bullion makes most sense when the trades are between Un-Ex folk in the same nation (currency zone).

In fact, IMZ (that's me) and Ian Ridgwell (IndiaMikeZulu's trader) and Sabretooth met in Perth, Western Australia just four  days ago, drank coffee together, and traded silver for Unobtanium!

I'll be online here today.

m

I was indeed able to check out the site, and found the spreadsheet. It is even my favourite colour.

Silver for UNO, that is awesum. I have bought some fractional gold for btc but nothing serious. I do want to expand my metals collection however and this seems like the perfect cryptocurrency to do it with.

Also, on reddit someone tipped me 10g - my first Unobtanium Smiley

Disregard the solicitation for the Windows Xp the other day.
I sold all 4.
I will pop up a AUD to UNO exchange once paypal gets round to releasing the funds.
I will offer some more 1oz in near future as well.
