Great improvement for bitximer's campaign. Does space and non alpha numeric counted as characters?

Good, this should also reduce the flood of boring weekly posts like "payment received, TY BitMixer"!
It seems it's already working, indeed. Smiley
I think it will reduce the amount of such posts indeed. However, I think it's still gentle to thank BitMixer for the payment. He/she spends money on you in the end, and if you're polite, you should thank someone for that.

Sure, I also thank BitMixer for this campaign (as I already did).
I hope that my message didn't sound rude but — I think you understood this — I just had the impression that many thank posts were done only to increase the post count.

If I were BitMixer, I wouldn't be too happy about all those TY posts that then I need to pay at the end of the week. Grin

Due to overspamming we added two positions to the rules:

Important update
- We don't pay for posts less than 75 symbols length.
- We don't pay for posts in Off-topic / Games and rounds / Alternate cryptocurrencies and this thread.

Sounds good. Having clear rules makes them easy to follow. Thanks again for this campaign!

I may write code in exchange for bitcoins.

Good news. Gives you more value for your money.

Off-topic and especially posting in this thread should never get rewarded anyway.

But why does the Bitmixer bot count this post from me still?

It will exclude posts right before payment.
Read below:
OK, that is good decision.
When is this gonna start counting?
It works right now. Paying bot analyses posts before payment and excludes spam posts.

Right, this is my only gripe for now, it's useful to look at that tracker page to see how many posts you're going to be paid for.  Now you have to try to remember how many of your posts (of those listed) might have been in off-topic or shorter than 70 chars.  It would be really wonderful if you could run the filter whever you print the "posts to pay number".

since i can add this

those word is only 7 characters while if you check with bot it could be 14 due to [ b][ /b]

anyone on bitmixer sig can clarify thus

Can't you work it out due to trial and error with the bot? Ie make the post and see if it's counted or not?

the problem is, you cannot figure out what post is paid and what is not. It's not shown in statistics.

That's what I thought of when getting the BIT-X campaign bot coded.

Why bother, when OP will give you the answer.

May I ask? Those 75 symbols, how do you count it? Only letters and numbers? Or spaces also? Do you count [img] [url] [quotes]? Other bbcodes? Couse I made more than 80 posts since the last payment. And I was only paid for 40 of something now.

Quoting messages are ignored.

Good, but what if a post consists of many spaces at the end of the word/sentence... something like this (I put more than 70 spaces at the end of the word)

Code:
hello

human will read the post above as a 5 characters post, but what about the bot ?

Also what about a post like this :
Code:
http://imgur.com/somefolder/somefiletoshow/belongtosomeone/what_is_this_picture.jpg

human will only see an image, but the bot will see a post with more than 75 characters, will it count too ?

...

Actually I think the new rules are good.  75 characters is not burdensome, and bitmixer is paying, so they can insist on higher quality posts.

I am new to the campaign (two payments), and it is hard for me to see how I will ever post 50 times in one week.  (Of course, being somewhat of a beginner and not a programmer would make it harder for me to reach 50 "worthwhile" posts)

"He who pays the piper calls the tune."

EDIT:

bitmixer's bot is really something!  Automating tasks is one route to making more money....
