Still looking for a trusted Escrow, after the start of the ICO. This is not good at all. No matter I don't trust any developer, until there is a trusted developer on from this platform I would advice people to suspend investing into this project

Spectrecoin Alternative Remittance system or Spectre.Cash

The team can now reveal some further details for the Spectre Alternative Remittance App, known as Spectre.Cash, that will facilitate cash transfers in the vein of the old-fashioned system known as ‘Hawala’. This age-old system is very popular with people that do not have bank accounts and wish to send money across the world. Have a look at a few links if you are unfamiliar with the concept. The concept involves trusted intermediaries that will facilitate the transfer without any money moving. The balance is settled later between the intermediaries. This system is facing problems however and increasingly overzealous and paranoid governments are increasing surveillance and attempting to limit freedom.

Having a think about this, something occurred to me. Cryptocurrency and mobiles could solve the problems of many and take this money transfer system into the digital age and also provide a real-world use of cryptocurrency that has not been done before.

Now think; replace the intermediary trust with cryptography and break the link between the intermediaries with ‘zero knowledge proofs’ and develop a totally decentralised proof-of-concept trust model with no central server and no central database. Add to this immediate settlement of balances using Spectrecoin and make the mobile app free for all and available for anyone with a mobile. The mobile system can be used with no prior knowledge of crypto.

This is really the background for the creation of SPEC. This is a real use of crypto for real people and has the potential to help the so called un-banked to access certain financial services.

The philosophy behind the project is one of “absolute privacy” which is a fundamental right. So, no registration, no personal details needed and no storage of any such details in any aspects of this project.

A skeleton Android app is in the making and further details will be released soon. The app will be released once working as a free app and open source. The aim is for the community to join in the further development of this.

Hello have you downloaded the wallet and have checked some of it's features?if you have not just download and take a look and see the difference between Spectre and the other coin wallet that you're comparing,Spectre has an edge compare to other similar coins.

What is the real world use case of Spectre and why make another altcoin when there are already a lot released in the market? Would it not be better for the Spectre developers to support a more established coin of their liking to make that coin better for the community to use?

The ICO is now open and will run for around 4 weeks unmtil 18/12/2016. There will be plenty of time to invest and to get to know the project.
The team will not rest during this period but will be pushing forward. Expect announcements and updates as the ICO progresses towards the distribution phase.

Week 1 - 20/11/2016 to 27/11/2016 - 20% bonus on BTC investment

The distribution will start immediately after the investment round has finished. The amount of SPEC will be calculated relative to the total amount invested (including the bonus calculations).

I can't find anything about the team on spectreproject.io for some reasons , I hope It's not the same case as KOMODO where only aliases from Github or Bitcointalk will be available otherwise the project won't have much credibility compared to others.

That's a good roadmap India has a good user base,can this be implemented on other countries beside India
if this become successful in India,this could be also be adapted by other countries.

Is Spectre technology based on the application anonymous (mobile app)  rather than the blockchain technology that Monero, Dash and Zcash are using. The reason for mentioning this is because the market promotion seems to be based on this mobile apps for money transfer

Is the mobile app for spectre is simultaneous during the ICO?

This project looks promising; the graphics and all plus I can't wait for the mobile app to be launched. Too bad I'd have to wait for my salary next week before I can start investing.

It would be to promote the coin in India. If you have read the thread then you know that we are working on a remittance app that could be popular there.
