I have tried with one card in A1, also with all four in A1/B1/C1/D1. All the time the same Sad
Are you sure your power supply is working ?
I once saw the same effect, the Raspberry was powered up and working but the 12V line was less than 5V. Measure the power at the end of the M-board with a multimeter.

Hello,

i also have one problem with starting my chainminer which seems having problems with detecting the chips. All Banks show 0GH/s Sad

I have 4 Hash-cards installed (v1.2) on a M-Card V2.3. When i start the miner on the console it says

root@bitfury:/opt/bitfury# ./start-miner-console.sh
INIT: 0 chips detected

The stat.log shows the following:

root@bitfury:~# cat /run/shm/.stat.log
speed:0 noncerate[GH/s]:0.000 (nan/chip) hashrate[GH/s]:0.000 good:0 errors:0 spi-errors:0 miso-errors:0 jobs:0 (record[GH/s]:0.000)

In the /tmp there's no file created

Any idea ?

When somebody can help me getting this miner to run, i will be thankfull and give a BTC reward!

Read every single post carefully and tried lots of things, still cannot get my bitfury hashing. Its latest from them using their image. I am trying btcguild, worker name, stratum (no http) etc all correct. I have other rigs mining fine with gpu and USB erupters so I know my network can talk to the world fine. mboard 3 hcards 2.2

Pretty sure I can rule out all the possible mistakes that are mentioned in this thread. I can ping pi from other pcs on my network. Pi can ping stratum.btcguild.com, I can ssh in to pi, using kb and mouse I can surf web using gui on pi.

Have tried just one hcard and tried 2 hcards, bus 1 and 2 positions. Have never had noncerate show anything but it does constantly flash 0  Sad

I was messing with some files and may have ended up confusing myself. Below is current setting, if there are errors lemme know please

Been messing with this all day and have to go to work now. Will be back tomorrow morning NY time to try any suggestions anyone might have

We need to see your pool settings (minus the username/password) or what the stratum proxy/miner looks like on the pi ("sudo screen -r" from an SSH terminal to see the screen sessions, and then "sudo screen -r xxxx" to connect to one of the sessions.  Fill in the "xxxx" with the process ID listed for the sessions.  Afterward, to disconnect from a screen session, use ctrl+a and then d).  I'd imagine you'll see why it's not mining when you connect to the stratum proxy's screen session.

...or you can PM someone and have them log into your pi to figure out what's going on.

I need advice for fan that strong enough to cool BFKit.

Will Corsair Air Series SP120 strong enough?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181027

I bought Noctua NF-A15 PWM which is not strong enough. It's very silent but not enough blowing power Cheesy

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608036

I have two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835146003

You are looking for high CFM.  The Noctua is 115.5 m^3/h which translates to 68 CFM.  The Corsair is slightly worse at 62.74 CFM and noisier.  In comparison, the NZXT I am using have 166 CFM.  If you have a Frys nearby, they sell the NZXT for $15

Dave, we need the link the v3 sd card image.
I have one on hand, can anyone recommend a nice free place I could upload it? I think it is about 3.71 Gb

It wasn't really my intention when I made it, but it would be perfect for sharing because in the image I saved, the root password is not yet set and the default log in information is still in place (user: pi pass: raspberry).

v3 is the version that the latest batch shipped with, correct? or is this v2?

tacotime already upload v3 image at the main thread.

but i really don't know what i might be doing wrong. is it the hardware? is it he software? i really don't know.
Sounds to me your power supply is too weak. Go for at least 1000W and try again, or lower the voltage on all boards and try with your current power supply.

how much power does this thing take? i went from 500w to 700w. i guess i'll try the 1000w this time

at 400GH for the system - roughly 400W
at 500GH - roughly 550W
at 550GH - likely 600-650W
at 600GH - could be as high as 700W
(*values are very broad approximations based on some of the dispersed info and kill-a-watt tested rigs I've seen so far in the forums: +/-10% is likely*)

remember this is power across the 12V rail(s). A 700W PSU may only provide 500W on the 12V PCI-E rail(s). If your cards are the new higher stock speeds (32-37GH/card), then its quite likely you are drawing at least 500W on the PCI-e cables. A 700W PSU is likely insufficient

i just picked up a 1200w psu. with a total of 1050w to the 12v pci-e. that should be enough now. the only problem i'm having now it the fact that i can't get my last 3 hboards to hash. so far i got 13 to hash. but the last 3 just don't want to work. i'm thinking the two pci-e cables connected to the v3.0 mboards might not be enough power. i think i need to add additional power other then just from the two pci-e cables. i know the v3.0 boards can be powered through the 2 pci-e plugs, but is it possible that it isn't enough power. do you think i might need to also add some 12v and ground to the metal screws? can i use both pci-e plugs along with adding additional power to the metal screws?

Overloading power connectors shouldn't cause some boards to hash and some to not. Have you tried rearranging the cards and seeing if the problem follows those 3 cards? You might need to just turn down the voltage on those just a bit.

i think its just the slots. its the last 3 (d,e,f) i even went ahead and changed the psu again to a single rail 12v 1300w. i know this time it can't be the power. i still haven't tried to add power to the screws. i think i might do that later today.

Edit: comes to find out that my M board has 1 bad slot. slot d isn't allowing e & f to work. so in the end i have a bad m board.

Ive got an issue:

when i run my bitfury through a linksys router alongside my laptop, i frequently have issues with the laptop getting all sorts of DNS resolution errors or problems with resolving host. My asicminer USB will continue to operate normally, but internet access is f**ked.

This has happened with 2 different routers and i dont understand why - is the bitfury system hogging the resources or communications with the router? Attempts to fix the issue oten resolve the laptop internet and maintain the asicminer operation, but then require the bitfury to reboot in order to hash (despite the webUI being accessile)

it might be worth using a multimeter to test the volatgae over the screws at the end of the board. If its not 12V +/- 0.2V, particularly if lower, power at those terminals may help, but i dont know for sure.
