Issues fixed
we'll get normal speed for blocks now , pools seems to be dropping
and chain is moving with only pos blocks

All my coins are with dedicated pool & I can't withdraw as they have disabled vvv.
you could try to contact them in irc
Emailing them is a better solution i think.
I had better luck going that route.

If anyone is missing coins or has more coins than they should after they update.

any word from the dev why pos block creation is so slow ?
just read a bit... still waiting on a lot of people and pools to update their wallets and to realize their mining air and wasting their electric bills

Ya certainly not the smoothest transition from POW to POS in history lol Kind of surprised that the market hasn't really reacted accordingly. Hopefully it won't and they get this figured out soon.
I'm on block 7657
the updated wallet should always have a label highlighted in red with the date of the wallets release so people know if it's the right link or not, and the version # in the wallet should have been updated too. but besides that everything is groovy 
looks like bittrex has opened it's wallet for deposits again

if you realize that this is only a temporary problem you dont have to react.
but you are right, normally some whale dumps when this happens and people start to panic sell for no "real" reason

What happened with ninja coin ?
Coin was forked by bug in the wallet and POS started to generate billions of coins literally. Bittrex didn't do anything to stop people deposit billions of coins even they knew that was in total 19 milion of coins.
Also they didn't move the finger to cancel the trade so directly allowed to people to dumped their billions of billions forked coins, Bittrex take trade fee of every transaction for them and close the market. People loose the investment and they accused developer for mistake. Finally they deleted all the coins even from good fork without willingness to give offer for people to withdrew their good coins. So in short not partner related relation between investors + miners and them as exchange, only look for their own profit and that's it, don't care about others. Now I'm not able to deposit my coins that i mined in pow stage couple of days before even the coins are 100% legit...
Bittrex never ceases to amaze me....

Ya, I lost a lot of respect for Bittrex over the way they handled NJA... and I was very disappointed in the ninja's who were so eager to scam people out of their btc with bad nja... lol and people are constantly bitching about scammer dev's when a big chunk of the people calling dev's scammers are probably the same people who'd put millions of bad coins on an exchange. people need to learn a little dignity and self respect, then maybe they can have enough respect for others that they wouldn't be so eager to rip each other off.
at least nothing catastrophic happened like that with VVV

hey Dev, which is the updated version of wallet. I think the link in the OP is the same with this at the start?

..so it stucked on block 7552 , is that normal now?
Cuurent block is 7649. However with all the forked wallets out there the network is updating slower than normal.
So basically Bittrex are on the wrong fork, is that correct ?
If they are allowing deposits and withdraws on the old wallet then yes. They don't touch the wallet for internal trading.

My method to fix my fucked up wallet:
-Backup wallet.dat (save somewhere)
-Delete all files from \AppData\Roaming\venividivici
-Copy backed up wallet.dat to \AppData\Roaming\venividivici
-Launch new version of venividivici-qt.exe and allow it to sync (this should be very quick actually).
-Mouseover the checkmark in the bottom right, as of my writing this, you should be on block 7650
The first two times I did a sync, I deleted the whole folder but for some reason I wasn't getting the right wallet balance when copying my wallet.dat over after syncing.
-Backup wallet.dat (save somewhere)
-Delete all files from \AppData\Roaming\venividivici

I just updated my wallet.
I removed everything from appdata except the wallet.dat file.
Now one of my vvv addresses shows me a balance lower than before.. much lower
I have checked the address on http://explorer.vvvcoin.com/ and there it shows the right amount.
Also the new wallet shows me downloaded 7645 blocks of 8340 blocks.
any idea?

have you tried running checkwallet in the debug console?
same thing happened with my cinni wallet a few months ago, checked it and then repaired and the coins were back
might also be worth starting the wallet with the -rescan argument
