Please DO NOT use current version (9.1.8 ) past 45000 block. Any coins you mined using old version past 45000 will be LOST.
Starting 45001 block it has been moved to new code, please wait for Windows release or use Linux build from github.
New version: 11.3.1 will be release shortly.
Expect Full windows client shortly.
in Windows type cmd
run virtualcoind.exe
open new window with cmd
type virtualcoind.exe getinfo

What about windows wallet, can i use 9.1.8 for mining?
you can still use it till 45000, even though reward amount does not change after that, but the algorithm is updated & optimized.

No change in reward amount, as that will cause forking.

Anyone know how many coins have been mined already? Don't really feel like doing the math lol
My guess is we are under 900,000 total coins right now. Below is my post from a while back when we were on block 27777, we're currently on 42865. Not sure when the block rewards got reduced to 16VC and then 12.8VC. So he's my rough calculation which I just averaged out each block to 14.4VC:
up to block 27777 = 645540
27777 to 42865 = 217267.2
Total = 862807.2VC
Hope that helps. This coin can go to great heights once the dev releases the new x11 code and we get on an exchange. Dev, make it happen Captain!
Anyone know the actual total number of Virtual Coins out there at the moment? I just did some rough estimates and I think we're only around 500k or so. Since there were only 3000blocks valued at 50VC = 150,000 and the rest ranged from 5VC to 20VC. We're only on block 27777. So that leaves 24777 blocks valued at 5-20. Even if you take 24777 x 20 = 495540 + 150000 = 645540 VC's and we are definately lower than that since I didn't average out the 24777 blocks. So say Virtual coin is worth $1. The marketcap will only be around $600k. So freaken low! Keep mining guys. I don't think we can lose here!
