Interesting. A large buy just torched 90.5 and left a 500 buy wall with 100 BTC reinforcements right behind it. Please god make this the sucker rally... I'm dieing to trade.

From about 12hrs ago, bid sum is up nearly 1 million, and ask sum is unchanged.

Is it Dump O'clock yet? Me thinks not. What is the official day for the end of the USD hiatus? 2 days?

Yes, July 4th

I think we both know what's going to happen

Historical events, sure. But their last statement was very professional and bullish. Give them a little faith. The market obviously does too, otherwise we would be much, much lower.

You thought that was a professional statement?  It may have been better than the prior childish nonsense he sent out on IRC, but it was far from what an adult businessman might expect from a multi-million dollar company holding people's funds.  It was too familiar, flippant, and tried to divert from the true market concerns by blaming their bank and diverting the news with their new trading engine and LTC incorporation.

It was obvious that "2 weeks" was just thrown out there.  The chances of them actually connecting automated withdrawals by Monday is about 0.01%.  They will panic around tomorrow when they realize they aren't going to get it setup in time - they'll probably blame their bank - and then they'll make up some BS about "manually processing" limited withdrawals "as a stop-gap favor to their customers".

...then the spread with the other exchanges will widen and another round of panic buying on MtGox will commence (with selling on the other exchanges), and once that settles a few days after you'll see the spread decrease and both MtGox and other exchanges prices fall together.

Excellent. I look forward to having my buy order filled then short them at the peak.

It is summer. Everybody has shorts on (and shorting BTC also).  Cool

But but but, last summer we had a price rise??

Weird, I know.

Anyway, wall and shorts.

Seriously, all you've been doing is talking this down, people like you are not exactly helping anything for the BTC cause, just posting about how smug you are about the price drop..

Yeah all I've done in 2 years is trying to talk the twitch.tv casters into Bitcoin, accepting it in all my businesses and freelancing, talking to everyone and anyone about it, invested in it, convinced some co-workers to tip their toes in it, tipped bitbills (now worth thousands) to my local restaurants...

But you know, if I think that the price got carried away and we need to go down, I'm somehow bad for the "cause".

What have YOU done?

Sure, but there's different kind of down.  Tongue

Edit:
FWIW, I've been a permabull since 2011. It's only since April that I've been saying "down".

You know what perma means right?  Huh

Maybe you should.... maybe you should.  Tongue

So you could buy in even cheaper??

No... MtGox price is higher than everywhere else because some believe it's better to lose an immediate 10% and transfer their BTC to another exchange than risking everything.

If they announce the end of the USD hiatus, I expect the MtGox price to go down.

If withdrawls of USD are allowed, artificial bitcoin price will stop but after the dip we just had, if they didn't sell out then and are already sitting on cash, they won't in two days.

I haven't heard a single bullish word out of your mouth for a while Frozen, what's wrong? All in on USD?

Don't you expect the price to go down, in any and all situations?

Oh 90 wall, you so tasty..... Up we go!!!

I see no wall on $90 - 56 BTC lol

You missed a 750 BTC wall being chewed to death. Largest buy was something like 150 BTC.

It sold down to $88.0001 again - this keeps happening. Someone wants out.

But 88 held once again. I expect to see this price for 2 days until MTGox opens their mouths again. Then we will see what happens Smiley

I do hope they communicate,a deafening silence will be more alarming!
