Bitcoin: Came for the decentralized currency, stayed for the insane, unsustainable explosions

I am a huge nerd, but I actually LOL`ed.  For a while.

I am quoting this.

This rally this afternoon has been the most interesting thing I`ve seen all week - which reflects both on how much I need to get out and on how exciting the BTC market is right now.  Grin

This morning, Bart Chilton of the Commodity Futures Trading Commision said, about Bitcoin, quote:

"They don't exist. And I didn't want to regulate them. I didn't want to put the government's stamp of approval on Bitcoin."

Excellent.

First they ignore you.....

hmmm, he's worried about talk of regulation legitamising the coin?? therefore backpedaling and trying to not even recognise it's existence?

He probably means they don't physically exist like paper and metal.

hello everybody

as I am very busy lately I can't follow developments
so, one question;

is there any known reasons for this rise in price?

1) WebMoney adopts bitcoin
2) PayPal founders get into bitcoin
3) Return to upward trend before Dwolla news came out, we were at $119 testing 120 back then.
4) Bitcoin conference

And probably more reasons I'm not thinking about right now.

im really sorry for this guy/guys who pumped cash into nearly 10k btc and they lose 5$ on each bought btc in couple of minutes Smiley

I have a sneaking suspicion that it was more of a medium to long term investment than a day trade  Grin
