No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
Congratulations to the Warriors for winning the series, it was a tough fight but they still manage to win it.

This thread has already served its purpose, so I'm going to close it and let's continue our discussion in the new thread, the Western conference Finals.

The series is now finally over.

It was a very close game from 1st to 3rd quarter, but the Warriors knows how to win and they know how important the game is.
Klay Thompson came out huge tonight, he made 30 points and most of that points came from his efficient 3 point shooting, he was 8-14 (in 3 point area).

Klay is tough, the old Klay knows how to handle the business done and he showed it to us once again.
Game six "Klay" as what the commentators calls him, because historically he goes clutch on games 6 and produces 30 point game performance.

So it's over now, although the Memphis fought very hard and at times they make the game close, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson step up to sell the win for them. Now they will have to wait for either Suns or Dallas to meet in the finals.

And at the start of the year people are saying that Warriors will go the West finals if they are healthy because of the current lineup, a death squad, Curry, Thompson, Poole, Wiggins and Green. And that's what is happening now.

As Green said in an interview, they need to have 8 wins left for them to win the NBA championship, and they call themselves clutch which I totally agree. Curry does not have a good start, but he was not disturbed by that, he keeps shooting and he finally found his rhythm.

Memphis are a good team, but Warriors is a championship team, that's the big difference.

By the way, Looney contributed big time as well, he grabbed 22 rebounds, and 11 of that are offensive rebounds.

Per experience, Warriors has a good edge over Memphis.

This series is finally over, no more scare for the Warriors that they may loss the series if it was brought back to Memphis.
I guess, the heat now is already settled as their series is finally over, hopefully no more injuries for the Warriors in the WCF.

We can check the injury report of the Warriors team.

Congratulations to Golden States Warriors for advancing in the next round of the playoffs. So sad to see Morant watching his teammates lose in the game while he is in the bench and can't do anything. All his effort and hardship was put into vain when he got injured during this kind of crucial games. Memphis has a good run on there regular season match due to Morant effort. Memphis is my favorite team to go on finals yet they are now eliminated due to unforeseen circumstances. The result might be different if Morant is playing.   Embarrassed
He isn't the one who is in that kind of situation.
Remember when Kyrie and Harden are forced to sit on the bench because of their injuries last season? If only they played against the Bucks the whole series, they might won it and they might be the champion at that time.

Injuries are part of the game and its very crucial when it comes to playoffs. Just see Embiid and his performance after having a right orbital fracture. The Grizzlies played well even without Morant TBH and we've seen it in Game 5 when they won by a huge margin. Its just that they can't defeat the Warriors without him and I think many will agree with me Smiley. If Morant played, there might be a Game 7 and they might win it but unfortunately he will not play.

Congratulations to the Warriors as they are the second team to clinch the Conference Finals and will wait in the PHX/DAL match-up and to the Grizzlies, better luck next time and I hope they will not change any of their core players or their starters as they really played well this season.

Still, I think that would be a good experience from him but you are right he might probably do something or it would turn out differently if he was playing but we are still unsure as the GSW offensive is really good too and won't allow them to get for another win or to go to game 7. Ja Morant is really a good player from inside to outside and I am sure that he will get into finals someday.

Not bad for the young Memphis Grizzlies line up. I think with or without Morant they will still lose that series. They were against a championship team with very experienced players like Curry, Thompson and Green. These young Grizzlies will have a bright future. They will come back next season with a playoffs experience. Nothing to be ashamed.

As for GSW, it will be interesting if they will face Phoenix Suns or Luka Doncic's team. Overall, I think the east will retain this season's crown. Miami Heat and Boston Celtics are now my top picks to win this season.

The current match is already starting and they have a very close fight. Maybe this will be a close spread match for all bettors out there.  Wink

It was a close game until the 6-minute mark in the fourth quarter but suddenly the Warriors step on the gas with that 8-0 nothing run.

Klay Thompson and Steph Curry showed the young Grizzlies that they are not done yet.

The current Grizzlies have a bright future ahead of them if they will remain intact in the next few seasons and kudos to them for making this series an exciting one.

yeah, Suddenly Curry and Klay activate there inner 3 points power that bombard Grizzlies in a short period of time. They do it twice which makes the gap so huge that very hard to comeback from the side of Grizzlies, Brooks accurate 3 points got deleted immediately when the splash brothers back into action. I thought Warriors is already over when Jordan Poole commit 2 consecutive missed 3 points shot while Klay follow up 3 points also missed.

It was Curry who start the really and revive the dying fire of GSW. Klay confidence went back when Curry step in and lead warriors.I just notice that Poole is consecutively taunting Grizzlies players. I don't know exactly what's the problem but he irritate me while watching him do that arrogant thing.

Placed bet right now on GSW and I don't think they would let the Memphis Grizzlies would have another win, it was just surprising last match that Memphis managed to beat warriors by more than 10 points I would expect them to possibly lose but not with more  than 10 points especially Ja Morant didn't play on that game.

Surprisingly, Grizzlies 3 points is pretty accurate during game 5 and the current game. They even beat GSW when it comes to 3 points shot exchange battle that force Curry to penetrate the inside of Grizzlies to get points. GSW still didn't solve there tremendous loss ball problem. They now have more than 20 loss ball while Grizzlies has less than 10. They are committing many error when they have a lead and trying to have a quick recovery whenever Grizzlies have a point made. This is the greatest weakness of GSW when it comes to protecting there lead in close match.

The first 2 games at home they were underdogs, game 5 at home they were underdogs.  I'm thinking they will be dogs in game 7 if it gets there.  If it does will be an easy pick for me.  I don't think I've seen a 2 seed playing a lower seed that the spread is so high against them before.  Wierd.

I don't think that's weird though. During the last game where the Grizzlies played at Chase Center, they lost by a big margin.

Maybe that's what bookies refer to when they provide that handicap. +8.5 is still a reasonable spread for me and I don't think it's a surprise.

If bettors think that Grizzlies can cover it, they should have to take chances.

Exactly, And in addition they were  lose big time even Ja Morant still playing for them that time. There recent win is unexpected especially the gap on score is very high due to low accuracy of GSW shooters. This is very rare to occur when all odds is in favor to GSW. GSW can't be consider as underdog anymore since all there star player is back unlike there regular season run which there roster is incomplete. I believe the WC ranking is different if GSW roster during regular season is there current roster now on playoffs.

The current match is already starting and they have a very close fight. Maybe this will be a close spread match for all bettors out there.  Wink

Warriors can seal the deal this morning against Grizzlies. They are already leading the series 3-2 now and this is a home game for them too. It seems like Morant isn't going to be able to play in this game too. This is a golden opportunity for Warriors to finish this. If the series comes to 3-3, then Grizzlies might even eliminate them. This has been a great series so far but I think this is the end for it.

It's not weird, the betting odds is based on public perception, and no matter how good the Memphis are, people will still put their money on the Warriors because they are the popular team, and the fact that they are ahead of the series, that only proves they can win this series. Well, if you believe that Memphis will win, might as well take the series winner odds which is currently at 9.00.

I agree with this. Betting odds are based on the betting public and yeah, money is on the Warriors' side and even though the Grizzlies had a better performance/record than the Warriors during the elimination, that's all under the bridge now and the Warriors lineup is now complete, it's just that they don't have their head coach during game4 and game5.

That 9.0 is worth a shot if you are a Memphis or Ja Morant fan but it's just too risky for me and i will not put any money on that one.

Memphis wins tonight then what will the rhetoric be?  Warriors favored by 8 points still.  Too funny.  Memphis moneyline 3-1.  Definitely taking a stab at that.  Gonna be a tough game for sure but if they could sneak one out, game 7 Memphis would have to be the favorite no?

Yes, if they steal this game, then they will go back and get the homecourt in game 7 so they will be the favorite.

I have Memphis in this game +8.5 though, if they maintain a distance or even take a lead against the Warriors then this is going to be close, so the pressure is on the Warriors on this game and win at home. And not be force to a decider in the road wherein they lost big the last time.

I have it a step further and put down on them winning the whole thing.  Long shot.  But yeah 9-1 series winner I might take that.  And yeah it is wierd that they would be dogs at home.  They were better than golden state all year long and were awesome at home.  People just over bet golden state.  All them ban wagon fans making it easy to bet Smiley
