WAVES DEX isn't used much, even the TIDEX that they created solely for the WAVES token. Although WAVES can potentially be a good investment, it can't match even with ETH. I have read they are preparing for their Smart contract which could really be a good side of WAVES, if you have invested to waves earlier 2016, you must have been a great holder.
I do not subscribe to that idea Wawes can be compareable with Bitcoin. Those are too much different side of coins and their aspects, targets are really diversified. In that case comparing them will be faulty state for crypto world.
Waves simply a platform which has own DEX and tradable with other altcoins too however BTC is just pioneer of virtual moneys and cryptic money transactions. There is no special stuff for BTC's tech, yeah I know what I say. Unfortunately we can not talk about BTC's tech as how it was great cause it has no terrific abilities for now what according to other coins like Ethereum or Waves.
Then we can maybe compare with Ethereum vs Waves vs NEO etc. Although some views here, I can not see any point to versus of BTC to Waves

It was bull run for all crypto currency in dec -jan then all dumped,not just waves even you see other altcoin such as eth, it crossed 1k but dumped , and ripple which insanely rose than dumped hard.i think waves are still undervalued a lot compared to other altcoin ,it has solid and fastest Dex and great team.maybe hype is what waves lack but it will soon follow in future. Between bitcoin and waves, I would choose to invest in waves, because we are unlikely to see serious price growth or technological progress from bitcoin, and the waves have not revealed their potential yet, at the moment their capitalization is about 380 times less than the capitalization of bitcoin, which again increases their investment potential.

I think it is unwise to compare bitcoin and waves. These are different currencies with different purposes. Bitcoin was created to accumulate value. And most of the other currencies to solve certain problems.

How can you compare the very first crypto currency in the world with another? Bitcoin - this crypto currency, which gave a start to the new world, no one will replace it in the near future. Undoubtedly, Waves is a project that deserves attention, but it does not compare with bitcoin

I think it's inappropriate to compare Waves and Bitcoin. Each of the coins has its advantages and disadvantages. But the fact remains that Bitcoin is a coin number 1 in all senses of the word. And in the near future, in my opinion, it will be unchanged
I think it is unwise to compare these two cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is a measure of wealth accumulation, the value of which is constantly growing, and the waves are just a bargaining chip. It has prospects, but it will never overtake bitcoin in value and capitalization.
I also agree with this and I believe that Waves can not compare with Bitcoin in many ways. Bitcoin is the largest coin and the leading cryptocurrency market with the largest support community, while Waves is just a fairly ordinary altcoin and does not have many outstanding advantages over bitcoin and some other altcoin. 
I believe bitcoin is the gold standard in cryptocurrencies. It is the oldest, most stable, and best one in terms of store of wealth. Bitcoin is high value but very difficulty to get it but as my choice i'm still consider bitcoin.

no project will have the same value as bitcoin. It 's impossible for waves on my wings. 95% of my projects I'm using bounty are using ethereum infrastructure. I mean the opponent, but the second most valuable coin will remain ethereum. But will there be projects that will destroy the taboos in the future? I do not know. But if it does, I'm surprised. because technology can not be stopped.

Lol, how you can compare waves with bitcoin! it is nonsense. Waves lost my trust, I no longer believe in this project, they currently don't move on,staying on the same level and I don't know anyone using their product. The only thing I like about waves is that they have internal exchange between BTC, ETH, Waves and tokens based on Waves
I think that Waves are really more promising for investment than Bitcoin because Bitcoin is no longer popular and does not interest the majority of traders.
waves is not in the same division with bitcoin. waves is on light weight. and i disaggree eth is not competitor too. especially ethereum took very long way against waves.
