Are we really gonna consider the elderly person to lose control? Elder people have more experience and we can expect them to know more about gambling and emotions than we know. If elderly people would gamble, they would surely treat it as a fun activity. Unlike a young gambler who has a goal to earn more, older people would probably stop thinking about aiming for that.
Yes, we don't know if it will actually happen to elderly people but the possibility is always there. Older people obviously have more experience than us but we also need to know that older people can lose their emotions too. Maybe they can enjoy gambling more than us because we are often carried away by emotions when gambling. But wisdom does not depend on age because older people may not have good emotional control and want their wishes to be followed. We will only know when we become elderly people and see how gambling develops in the future.

It's true that some elderly people may become more demanding or difficult as they age. This can be due to a number of factors, such as changes in health, cognitive decline, or social isolation. In the case of gambling, it's important to remember that it is an addictive behavior. Just like any other addiction, it can be very difficult for people to control their gambling once they've developed a problem. This is true for people of all ages, including elderly adults.

But I believe that those elderly experienced gamblers who associate gambling with entertainment and the thrill of potential winnings are people who have self-aware, caution and responsibility, because all those adrenaline turbulence in gambling wouldn't affect them.
If experienced, elderly gamblers can take care of themselves while gambling, of course, nothing will happen and they will definitely be able to prevent anything and be responsible when gambling. That's also what people who are still gambling should have so that they don't experience problems.

So someone who wants to stop gambling when they are old can decide to stop gambling when they reach the specified age. But if he can't completely stop gambling and still gambles occasionally, that's also okay as long as he can take good care of himself when gambling and doesn't gamble excessively.

Elder or not, as long as your wishes are appropriate, then expect that it will be obeyed. It also depends on the attitude of the people around us, as there are some spoil people who still gets what they want even though their wishes are seem not appropriate anymore.

I don't think I can do that, as I know to myself that I'm a good person. I hope many others too. Gambling is not bad, and as you said first, there might still be elders who can play gambling appropriately. So why will they stop? Maybe they can also earn more profit out of it and they can gave some of these money to the people around them and those people are going to feel happy.
Usually, when people get older, they become more spoiled and want all their wishes to be obeyed by the people around them. If their wishes are not complied with, they will be angry and annoyed and may leave for several hours until the people around them are confused and looking for them.

Gambling is not bad. But the problem and concern is that many people lose control when they gamble. It has happened to many people, and even if an elderly person loses control, they can spend all their money and even their savings. If that happens, what can he regret when all his money has been used for gambling? Maybe what elderly people need to do is try to reduce their gambling activities because they are no longer young and are no longer able to do what they used to when they were young. They should be able to realize that they have changed a lot and it is time to leave gambling.

Gambling, to me is like fun even though you make some money doing it, its just a game of luck and if it keeps you happy and not wasting money (whether or not  you make money from it) you can continue to gamble as long as you want. Its not some government job where you are required to retire or something.

If you are quite successful with it also, I see no reason why you have to place a retirement age to it, you can do it for a hobby while making money off it but if it affects your mental health negatively and gives you heart conditions that are ot favorable, you can retire ASAP.
Well, gambling can win based on luck and we come with the aim of having fun so we will never regret it when we have to lose some money for that pleasure.
Everywhere, having fun always requires capital and gambling is one of them, but it still has to be within the right limits and can't be too excessive because gambling has lot of risks that come with it.
And indeed, this is not government job that requires retirement at certain age, it just that it would be better to have target for when it is time to really stop gambling completely, because when you are old you might be happier when you can full time with your family.

Not all gamblers can be successful in gambling and only 5% of all gamblers are able to actually achieve that success.
Talking about success, it is true that the hope of making money from gambling is shared by almost all existing gamblers, but have you ever seen or heard of more people who have succeeded in truly changing their lives from gambling?
I don't think so because most gamblers end up losing more money.
When you are old, will you also be willing to spend more money just to gamble while you can use the money to give to your children and grandchildren who may need it more.
Okay, so gambling is like going on a roller coaster, right? Though it was fun and exciting, some people did get sick afterward. Yes, you're right; its all about the thrill of the unknown and the chase. But 95% of gamblers don't hit the jackpot. Thats the fun part. Like having a party: it costs money, but the memories are worth it. Worth a lot.

Its almost impossible to get wins that can change your life. Most people? They're just putting coins in a well to make wishes come true. And man, you have to change directions when you get old. Imagine giving up betting chips to spend time with your family. Thats already a win, right?

The catch is that gambling isnt the main thing you do in life. Sure, have fun with it, but keep in mind that its just a side dish. If you like fries with your burger. You wouldnt eat fries for dinner, right? Friends, balance is the key

I will only say what is in accordance with the facts that usually occur, which means that I quite agree with your assumption that basically elderly people are very mature in terms of their mindset, and with that it is actually quite simple in my opinion to conclude that most likely they will not have the mindset that gambling addicts have in seeing gambling, they will be more able to judge which is better and which is bad, especially for the impact of that activity. In terms of emotional management, it is the same, which means that because they have a mature mindset, they will usually give in or prefer to find the best way instead of letting out their emotions which are basically not useful at all.

I think it is quite rare for elderly people to choose to gamble to fill their old age, no more because the first thing they see is the impact that will be very bad on their lives, on the other hand I see some elderly people prefer to find other activities for their pleasure such as playing with family to tourist attractions or exercising with friends who are also elderly. Even if they choose gambling I am sure they will not be as aggressive as young people, the difference is that the adrenaline and emotions of young people and old people are different.

The problem is that when people are over 60 years old, they start to develop many heart diseases and their body no longer has the same health as when they were young. Another important point is financial. A 60-year-old person most of the time the money he has is for retirement and to pay his health costs, in other words, even though this person is very rich, the business will be taken care of by other people, he will not have the health to lying in arguments that can harm you emotionally, things like: company or business losses, problems with government and laws and fines, are the types of things that doctors recommend that people over 60 years of age not get involved in. .

Take, for example, the cases of government workers, they are forced to retire at 60 and 65 years of age, and the reason for most countries in the world to adopt this type of measures, is precisely because our body when it reaches 60 Year-olds need to rest, stay away from stress. This means that it is not healthy for a 60-year-old person to be involved in gambling, not only is it not healthy, but financially it is not a good move, the risk of losing everything: losing all retirement money and also Losing your life is a very big risk. There are many other things that older people can do for fun than gambling.

Elderly gamblers have high possibility of getting arthritis, but not all, only a few percentage of them. I think it depends on the nature of their job, when they were younger. Yet things lead humans, regardless of age, to go back to their older habits, which they've dumped. As a youth that gambles, at old age, a difficult situation like heartbreak can refresh the old man's memory to try gambling as a means of getting over the pains. In terms of finance, not all would lose much money while gambling. Professional gamblers are mainly retired civil servants, who still enjoy the fun of playing poker or slot games. The only challenge they'll have is moving from one casino to another. As a good number of them ain't familiar with online gambling. Not sure for the Gen z, what gambling would look like when they get older. On the other hand, your definition of men at 60 isn't correct across some families and countries. A good percentage of old men in Africa who clocked 60 years are still vibrant and have no issue with health. Most of them after retirement still get work in private sectors to augment their earnings while keeping their brain busy. Hence, if the man or woman is an excellent player and understand money management they can continue playing games and enjoy their old age. Gambling is not that stressful compared to teaching, I've seen some elderly men going to teach, as an alternative way of staying active. Participating in gambling with their retirement money is not encouraged, for all, but I've read of couples that threw their retirement money into gambling and became professional gamblers. Earning more money and living their best lives in hotels and vacations. People are different, and no need to generalize. Still taking precautions is still a good thing, not to be a victim of running broke.

Many believe that gambling is for young people online as they need thrill and and fun. But I think that even old people can enjoy gambling. There should be any age to retire from gambling at all. One can do this activity and leisure time and thus it does not affect retirement related activities also.

I do not think that there should be a specific retirement age when it comes to gambling. Rather, it should be more on the mental aspect of the person if they can discern the activities that they are doing at that time.

Contrary to popular belief, in my country, lots of old people gamble. In fact, they are even the high-rollers who tend to gamble away thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars in a single night.

In conclusion, I think people should stop gambling whenever they cannot understand what they are doing. Additionally, if they lack the mental awareness and aptitude, they should consider quitting and focusing on other recreational stuff that can benefit them in the long run.

You talk as if gambling is some kind of duty people must do no matter what, people can and should stop gambling whenever they feel like it, there is not really a set age in which this must happen, it is simply about your own tastes and what you like to do, for example there are things that I liked to do as a kid that I no longer like, as I grew out of them, if someone that enjoyed gambling during their youth does not like to gamble anymore in their adulthood that is fine and they should stop gambling immediately, however there is nothing wrong either with someone that even at their old age still likes to gamble from time to time.

Soon as you don't get a reliable and consistent source of income. That's when you're supposed to stop gambling entirely and never step foot on this industry again. Why? How about YOLO? Well, picture this.

You're literally at the sunset years of your life, living off the pensions that you've worked your whole life for. With no one to confide with besides probably your old wife, cause by now your kids have their own kids as well assuming you'd even have kids in the first place, how would more money work out for you? You should be looking for more comfort at this point, since every joint in your body's aching and you're literally two major illnesses away from kicking the bucket. Comfort that money couldn't buy you, let alone be provided by something as trivial as gambling.

There is no retirement age for gambling, one can play according to his own ability and needs. Gaming rules and age limits vary depending on the type of gambling performed on designated states and tribal lands. But gambling is usually for an adult as their intelligence is a bit better than their elders can control everything quickly. As an elderly person gets physically disabled and loses their cognitive abilities as they age they cannot control everything easily. If the body and mind are not healthy then it is never possible to gamble it will put more risk. Therefore before playing in old age they should be taken into consideration and progressed as the bet in youth will not be managed in the same way in old age gambling patterns are changing.

Yeah, gamblers doesn't have need for retirement as the decision is owned by them. If one wants to, they can stop at anytime. Hence, it'll be difficult to even say for others what age would be nice to stop gambling. I think the answers should be personal. But, since people can't predict their future self, it's still not necessary to say what age we'd retire from gambling. Once health is there, nothing stops me from gambling. As it'll be detrimental to the healing process of the person. We must be careful with our health as old people. Because the body becomes too vulnerable and exposed. Responsible elders in the society can still gamble and maintain the wealth of their family without causing harm to their growing offspring, wealth wise. Who knows they could still win big, while at that age. And it's still a good way to generate more wealth for the family. Players who from youth days, value the positive aspect of gambling, would continue at old age. But, if their kids finds out that their grand dad gambles it can influence them negatively. Hence, it should be done privately, not to lead little kids to start thinking of gambling at a tender age. Aside that I don't consider it as a thing that should be stopped. Just like drinking alcohol, most people won't retire from that habit. Provided they can control themselves and not make it a daily habit.

In fact, there are still many elderly people who still gamble. And I saw that they really enjoyed gambling games and played casually. In my opinion there is no age limit (except underage) for gambling, and as long as they can do it and enjoy gambling games, in my opinion there is no problem. And it seems like they play just for entertainment and to fill their old age, with sufficient capital.
And I personally will stop gambling when I feel bored and turn to other games, or other things to entertain myself in my old age.

For me it's not the age. Gambler should retire in gambling once they start losing their self control before it gets worse. Cause for me, as long as someone is capable of controlling their gambling desire, there's nothing to worry. Even if you're already old and you still have money for this kind of leisure, you can still gamble because it entertains you. Because it's never about the age. There are gamblers who starts become addicted even at their younger age. Some becomes addicted when they get older so it depends on the gamblers.
If it's not for reasons of health there's no retirement age for gambling. You're right, gamblers should swallow their ego and quit from gambling once they notice their gambling tendency has gotten out of their control affecting their normal life and welfare. Gambling should be enjoyable as a leisure and not make us feel trapped under a compulsive habit that makes us lose our physical and mental health, properties and relationships with people due to how addictive we have become to it. Quiting at the early stage of observance will be a self benefitting.

It all depends on the gambler. There are people who quits gambling because they can find no sense or enjoyment in having gambling activities or some quit for good but yeah, it's nothing to do with age unless the gambler is underage of course. Elderly can be out of control sometimes but if the elderly gambler built a habit of controlling himself on what to spend, generally speaking he learned how to responsible in gambling, I think it is safe to assume that even if he is an elderly, he can still do gamble responsible since he carry out the habit of controlling himself.

Sooner or later, we all will find the nostalgic feelings on gambling when we reached the age of an elderly.
So it depends on each person if they are elderly but if they can still control themselves well, they certainly won't experience any problems while gambling. But as we know, elderly people usually want their wishes to be obeyed by the people around them, and if their wishes are not complied with, they get angry. But it's better if they don't have to gamble. Otherwise, it will only cause problems for them and their families later. Apart from that, those who are used to gambling in their youth need to think that they will not need to gamble anymore when they enter old age. Moreover, they know that they have experienced a much different decline when they were younger.

I also think the same, the game as well as any other activity is very good for people to continue staying active, I am one of those who think that age is just a number, there is no other way then when we establish a limit to our organism or for our being, well that's how it will be, it will depend on how we program ourselves, that is something that will always be fulfilled, we are not going to look for more excuses for our happiness or that they are to our liking, the activities that we can do while we get older we have We have to continue doing them, and if it happens for some reason that our body or mind no longer works the same or is not up to the task, then unfortunately we must leave things like that, because there is no other way, then when we are in the middle of activities and someone tells us say let's not continue sometimes there are people who leave this world with moral pain because they know that what they do has been taken away from them, and they are given a reason to die, that is what should never be done or allowed to be done.

I had a neighbor, a man who was almost 80 years old, and he was very active, he liked to clean the mopnte with his own shovel, and one day he started going to the doctor and I told him that they did not recommend that he continue doing that activity, but that was the activity that he did, so it turns out that he paid attention, because his family urged him to do it, plus it was a complete pandemic, the danger of getting infected with covid, well all that, in a situation where he put his life somewhat sedentary Well, the man began to feel bad and when he saw that he had cancer, and a few months later he died, so as long as we have the strength to do certain things that we like, we must continue doing them, because it is the only thing that moves us forward in life. do what we like, I am sure that we are in this life to do what we like most, we do not come here to this environment to suffer, quite the opposite, so we must see things that way.

You only quit when you die. if you have been gambling responsibly and keeping busy while at it making sure that stay properly guided, I see no reason why quitting should be part of it. As long as it is not affecting your health, wealth, and relationship with others.

Do you quit what you love? Nope, you don't rather you do it and give it your best.

Even living in old age will be difficult if you are already an addict when you are young.

But everyone has the choice to retire from gambling, of course we can also decide whenever we want as long as we feel enough to no longer gamble so we can enjoy other hobbies that are more fun besides gambling, for example doing something fun with the people around us. us, including spending time with our families. The point is, don't become a gambling addict until you are old, at least make the decision to retire from gambling before you are old.  Wink
