There should not be any retirement age, the way we don't have a retirement age from driving.

People are different and this is another example of a situation that should be analyzed case by case.
You can feel great gambling in your 70s, but your grandpa might not. He might have Alzheimer's, or dementia.
It's the same with any other activity. Some people retire early from their work because of health problems.

We should gamble for as long as we feel like we're on top of our game. You can be 30 years old and have a mental breakdown due to gambling that forces you to stop.

I think a reasonable old man should give up gambling. Whether we like it or not, gambling has the primary aim to double your finance but whether this actually happens or not depends on an individual, if they are getting the profit but yes majority are not. So what would an old man be gambling for when he is suppose to be taken care of by his pension savings and investment plus what support the children give to him.
Quote
Okay but does it mean if someone doesn't gamble then he won't have fun watching probably a sports game? If an old man doesn't gamble will he note enjoy the entertainment from the game he is seeing or engaging in? No I think the real entertainment is when you are relaxed and not pressured whatsoever. Gambling is generally believed to be played because you want to add to your purse not just a total entertainment because if it is only for entertainment we have different things to enjoy in a game that is not to gamble it.

Of course they can have fun in other aspects of sports games or in any other things. I think you misunderstood my comment earlier. What led to my first comment before was your reply that I quote above again. You said "a reasonable old man should give up on gambling". That statement sounds as if it is bad for an old man to gamble. Going by that statement, a gambling old man is considered as unreasonable person. So, what I mean with my respond is that it's not a bad idea to continue gambling even at old age as long as it is not affecting you and derive joy in doing it. And yes, we can not deny the fact that we gamble to increase our purse but that should not be top priority else we may not find peace gambling especially when the odds are against us.

Yes, I will agree with you that old men should make the most of their old age. They've worked hard for decades and they deserve to enjoy their golden years to the fullest.

Gambling is not an activity that will be too hard even for old age since its just like watching television but this time they are thinking and enjoying. I believe the only repercussion of gambling that can give to old people is the potential heart attack and other illness once they experience huge loss or anything that will surprise them.

But in general. Gambling is safe even for old age considering that they will just play for fun and doesn’t involved on high risk stake game which often do by young gambler.
There is no doubt that elderly people can experience heart attacks or other health problems because, in gambling, they will encounter many surprises that may affect their health. Maybe elderly people will not go to casinos but will visit their friends' houses and tell stories about their daily lives and reminisce, and then take the time to gamble like in the past. Perhaps there are lighter rules because they won't gamble too hard and want to enjoy time while reminiscing about the past. That would be better. They would not experience health problems because they gamble to fill their free time. But if elderly people go to a casino, they probably won't be able to stand the sound of people gambling on the many gambling games.

No prior age set regarding on what age should a gambler retire from gambling since each of us have different approach regarding on this discussion since some can easily quit because they think they are done already since they are financially drained due to big losses they encounter from gambling. And some still gamble even if they are old since they think its still good for them since it challenge their mind and get the fun that they want especially when they are at home without doing anything. Gambling can really be stressful if done in wrong manner since if a person is doing crazy decisions while betting for sure they would think about those hardships and how to recover their lose then even decide to chase. But if they are there just for fun since start of their sessions provably with this attitude they can be happy whatever result they can get after they end their games.

I really can't tell at what age you should stop because as I said above it depends on yourself how long you want to contribute to the activity, but in my opinion if indeed the activity only causes a lot of problems it is better from now on you intend to stop, especially those who are already addicted, because as we know quitting gambling is very difficult friend, and it is impossible to do suddenly, so it is better for you from now on to reduce these activities so that in the future slowly the action will reduce your interest in gambling and finally you can stop. Yes, gambling is very challenging, not least because there is a chance of winning and the risk of losing, but obviously the risk there is far greater than the chance of winning, and if you gamble just for fun, in my opinion it doesn't matter because the sensation that is caused is quite pleasant and yes as long as you remain firm on your self-control, do not end up addicted because it is very dangerous and I'm not sure you can survive in such conditions which of course will be a lot of pressure you feel.

Some can quit instantly but some can't and still want to play for long term. But for sure when they came up to the point that they became more mature for sure they still leave this activity and gaining more money will be their main priority due to responsibilities that they need to take care.

For the problem of quitting yes that's right, some can stop instantly and some are very difficult to stop the activity. It depends on their awareness of gambling itself whether this activity gives them a useful good impact or even the opposite. But as we know that there is no good impact from the name of gambling, it will be good enough if you come with just looking for fun and not thinking about other things such as maybe making money in gambling. And besides that as usual probably most of the gamblers already know about the worst impact, I think I don't need to mention it because this is a common impact that many gamblers may have felt especially those who are addicted.

Yes I quite agree, the maturity factor will indeed be quite useful to make yourself realize that gambling is really useless and will only cause a lot of problems, none other than when you are an adult then you will be able to distinguish what is bad and what is good. And yes not only that, because realization can happen at any time regardless of whether you are an adult or not, of course, several other factors can also influence and can be a reason.

I do not think there should be a limit for gambling, I think it retiring in gambling depends on the personal preference and financial capability.  Even if the person is not old if he is not capable to spend extra money for gambling, he must retire playing on gambling platform in order for him to support his and his family's need without any problem.

There are older people who is more than capable of spending money for gambling, I do not think we should limit them to play in gambling platform because of their age. As long as the person is having fun and is capable of spending money for gambling, they should continue to gamble regardless of age.

But there are other gamblers under the age of 40 who are unable to gamble because of the severe illness they have, even though they still want to gamble. There are such gambling addicts, who despite undergoing therapy for his illness.

But of course, it's just common sense. When you know that you're old, that's a sign that you should stop gambling instead; there's nothing wrong with it. It's better that you enjoy the rest of our days in this world with other things. Rather than spending money on casino gambling. That makes more sense than inside the casino.

You're right, well, life begins at 40 as they say. But I think there's no age limit or rules about on what age should a gambler retired. Many gamblers specifically those Elite gamblers are still playing at the age of 60-80 yrs old, those are the one who spent time in gambling and treat it as their leisure. I think this topic should not be a big deal,  As long as you're capable to play or as long as you have your money, know your limitations and you have a self discipline then you're still allowed to play. Only minors are not allowed to gamble.

Gambling only limits underage gamblers, but they do not place restrictions on seniors. This means that even if you are 60 or 80 years old, you can still gamble, but I'm sure not many of them have the desire to gamble at that age. Even if there were, I think they would just go to land-based casinos instead of online casinos, perhaps for therapy for their blurry eyes or something else instead of gambling in earnest.

Well for me there is no specific or age limit to gambling, it comes from you that even the elderly enjoy gambling because it seems to be the only way to get rid of their boredom. Yes, there is still another way to get rid of boredom, but if you are a gambler and you can still gamble even when you are old, you will still do it.

I see from my grandfathers and uncles that they always gambled even when they were in their 60-70s. They are the ones who are playing and they are fighting each other, I can see that they are enjoying it a lot, it's like they're bonding, it's like they're just kids, it's fun to watch.

Yes, I agree elder person who gambles are the one's that genuinely do that for fun and entertainment unlike young ages who gamble hunger for money and eventually didn't do well. Older age tend to gamble the money they only have like from pension and such, its okay for them whether they lose or win, same as you I have grandpa in the past that does gambling for his own satisfaction, that's why I learned about gambling games from my grandpa as he teach me bow to play more like a grandpa and grandson bonding, even without money at stake we play just for fun. So I think gambling is for every age as long as they want, gambling doesn't always have a money at stake, you cab enjoy it solely because of the bond and memory you will create while playing, i think that the beatiful side of gambling.

Actually the weak gambler only retired at their old ages, because they don’t have any good funds for their survival of the game. The old age people doesn’t have money most of the time because of not saving their funds at their young ages.Saving the money at the younger age was the important for the young gamblers which help to make the more games at the old ages.I had come across many gamblers who’s age are more than 60 and all of them was holding the huge assets and big bank balances. The gambler with less knowledge will play the game at the young age and doesn’t hold any money for the gambling at their old ages.

I also feel that the reason that old people would gamble is for additional money basically. Those who are old and receiving enough money from children and pension will not indulge in gambling because they really may not have need for money as such that what they have can't take care of. Basically, I have not seen an old age man gambling and moreover those few that I come across with are not rich but struggling old men.

Gambling is an expensive hobby and fun method that has no limits other than the age limit specified by law and can be preferred by older people. Therefore, there is no age limit to stop gambling and older people can also gamble. When we look at the player base especially in physical casinos, the fact that there are more older than young individuals shows that many older people don't move away from gambling due to their age.

Although there is no maximum age limit for gambling, I think it should only be played in cases where the person doesn't feel bad in case of loss, doesn't lose himself/herself in gambling addiction and doesn't harm himself/herself by getting too excited. Since gambling causes a person to get excited or feel bad, only those who are not suitable for it should stay away from gambling when they get older.

Since gambling is not a job, there shouldn't be any discussion about retirement. You don't retire from watching TV, or reading books, or sunbathing. The only thing close to this would be stopping to partake in sport activities, but in that case, can we really talk about retiring. Imagine asking your grandpa if he retired from riding a bicycle? I know people who were in their 70s running, working out, doing all the things they used to do when they were young, but at slower pace.

I'm sure that as long as I can think straight I'll be doing all the things I do now, which includes using bitcoin and gambling.

Age does not prevent someone from gambling, but being aware of age may be a good idea if gambling has a major impact on your health and finances. Of course you can stop gambling whenever you want, in fact gambling doesn't have to make you addicted until you are old.

If you don't want to be addicted to gambling until your old age, then don't gamble for money. Think of gambling as a challenging game that can also make you have fun, even if you have to pay dearly for your losses. But of course, this is easier said than done, but you must have a way to stop gambling or reduce the intensity when you experience bad effects.

Many believe that gambling is for young people online as they need thrill and and fun. But I think that even old people can enjoy gambling. There should be any age to retire from gambling at all. One can do this activity and leisure time and thus it does not affect retirement related activities also.

The right age to retire from gambling is when you have achieved peace, without being influenced by worldly things. which means, in this case we are old and can no longer remember much, especially regarding gambling. or, you have gained enlightenment that no longer involves worldly pleasures. Unfortunately, the second point is very difficult to realize. well, in your opinion, at what age should you retire,.. if you have the answer, just keep it to yourself.

Well, referring to what you said, there is nothing wrong with that. I agree, young people need sensation and fun.  however, fun is not just for the young. even, people in old age. The difference is, young people who engage in gambling sessions tend to be careless, reckless, and have emotional outbursts. and I, have been in that position. different from people who have reached adulthood. Apart from having fun in gambling, there are certain points that people of mature age have.

for example, when gambling, think about other things first. Let's take an example, sports betting. people of mature age. Usually, we always prioritize researching the teams that will be competing first. in fact, it can happen repeatedly. for young people, they are more likely to follow their feelings according to their wishes. especially, if you play slot games. as long as there is still money in their pockets, they can gamble until there is nothing left. However, not everything has to be specific. The point is, I have no concept of retirement in gambling. I just enjoy the flow, provided everything is under control.

For me, I think the age to retire from gambling should be the age when the brain stops wanting fun and the thrill of dopamine.
I think it's at the age when the sights go dull, and joint movement becomes a painful chore.

It could be for some, at the age where one gets married, and start having kids. Or maybe at an age where one moves into a new environment.

I don't think gambling has any required age to quit even after retirement. It could be in different forms, but what matters to some is the thrill of it.

Why should you retire from any hobby that you find fun? Gambling is fine for adults of all ages and should not have any sort of limit. The only possible problem I could foresee is losing your memory or rational decision making abilities that can happen to some people in the form of dementia. However by that point you would probably find it hard to even login to a gambling site or app, so the problem may solve itself in that sense. As long as you have a strong grasp of your budget and the self control to keep your gambling at a low level, so it doesn't effect you financially and is just considered a form of entertainment, then you should continue to do it for as long as you like.

The thing called gambling does not know age, old or young, the important thing is that the person has enough money so he can gamble.
However, the question that arises is when is the right age to stop gambling? So my answer is that there is no age limit for someone to stop gambling and there is no age that can really be considered appropriate for someone to decide to stop gambling, however if this gambling activity is considered detrimental and does not provide any benefits and it is also difficult to controlled, then whether in old age or young, if conditions are like that, it would be better if we decided as soon as possible to immediately stop the gambling activities that we have been doing. Before something worse happens to us.

Is the purpose of saving at a young age just to be able to gamble in old age? I don't think this is something important for us to fight for, if you don't have money then don't gamble... it's really a hassle and if we have enough savings then it would be better if we used the money for more useful things such as investing or saving funds. These are for children's educational needs or for other urgent needs. and is our life only about gambling? I don't think so, because there are still many things we can do in old age, which are more useful, such as expressing creativity in the form of art.

Gambling is not important, so it requires us to be able to prepare special funds so that we can always gamble. Gamble only when we have more money after fulfilling a need.

Excuse me but I didn't know that gambling is a full-time job where you gamble for 35 to 40 years and then you retire with your full benefits and pension waiting for you and for 401k in savings. If we have retirees in gambling, then we should also have people who receive pension but this is not. In fact the word retire sounds very weird.

There is an age to start gambling but there is no age to "retire" or "stop" gambling. If you actually gamble for fun then you should enjoy it doing it just like you enjoy taking a cup of coffee every morning.

You can retire whenever you want. There is no minimum or maximum age required to retire from gambling. If you feel like it, you can retire today. Also, one can be a gambler his whole life. If you are fit, if you have the money, and if you have the desire to gamble, then gamble. Who would stop you? Some may say old age is the best time for a gambler to retire. I say no. Gambling requires not only luck but also experience. The only way to reach that is to keep gambling until you age. Lastly, I would say, It's up to you, man! Do what you want with your life. Buy a car, buy a bike, buy a house, get married, have children, or be single, be agamble, or maybe not. Anything.

First of all, I wanna say that gambling should be for entertainment purpose not for addiction. Now I wanna say that every person works for his livelihood for a certain age according to his body capacity and after that age, the person took retirement from his job or work. Then I would say that there is a basic condition of gambling and that is that you gamble with as much funds as you can afford to lose.
So now I can say that when you reach an age when you have to retire from your job or your income source is not the same as before I think you should take retirement from gambling also. Because that time you may not afford the funds to gamble. I don't think it is wise to risk your life by gambling in old age. Hopefully you understand when you have to retire from doing gambling, the time is when you can no longer afford the fund for gamble.
