If the market can continue to grow positively or at least there will be 2x new ATH from bitcoin and ETH I'm sure many coins will skyrocket up to 100x, and some of the coins I've bought and kept because I'm optimistic that they will skyrocket are 1Inch, GALA, XDC and AMP.

You choose best coin and Gala showed already good rally in previous week but market sentiment not looking good. Whale are trying to stress people sell their token.
I am hoping 2x from Slp as their News of Burning token is very big its looking veey bullish despite market bear position.

That is to happen that many were still envious upon seeing altcoins are in the rock, skyrocketed more than Bitcoin, and earn much money during that time. They ask for luck investing these coins and even asking for more where we are not sure if that comes or just to have a short end.
It is quite doubtful how they just rejected Bitcoin which in fact, these altcoins are reliant on Bitcoin movements. As if these coins are in skyrocket, it means that Bitcoin did it first.

There is no denying that even if some coins go higher than bitcoin, they can't go to a green direction without bitcoin going to green. If a project does 80% profit, while bitcoin does 30%, then it is understandable.

But, no project could go 20%+ profit while bitcoin is down 10%, maybe can do it for one day, but then it will fall like others next day. So, basically it is more like "if it will profit depends on bitcoin, how much it will profit doesn't depend on bitcoin". That is why I highly doubt that any project could be fully independent, even ETH which is a whole another coin with a huge ecosystem still depends on bitcoin about the direction it takes.

Metaverse and Matic are two coins that I think will be very good in 2022, Metaverse coins like SAND are currently holding their price even though the market situation is bearish and so is the MATIC coin, behind the price which is relatively low for now there is a lot of speculation and positive news about the two coins.
but I believe each of us has our own favorite coin and I will not doubt any coin because they all have the same potential.

I am one of those people who believe that BNB will show an extraordinary performance this year, especially since the BNB development team is so solid.

even a possibility that XRP's performance in 2022 will decrease slightly compared to 2021.

Insurance is going to be big I feel coming year/years. TOP 10 cryptos is more suitable for me to divide funds for. I try to keep away from literal meme coins/tokens but I still like to dabble with "moonshots" (who knows right maybe I hit it big Cheesy

While it is true that those are the two types of coins that are really popular at the moment, if we are to see an important growth on both of those markets then we need that the price of bitcoin begins to go up again during this year, and at least right now it is difficult to see that being the case for the next few months, so people need to be careful and not invest their money in just about any coin thinking they will make a fortune, when the market conditions are no really the best for this kind of result.

DeFi, NFT, and Metaverse are the type of coins that in hype since last year and i'm sure when the market recover, when bitcoin price is already going up like 20% from this current price, those type of altcoins will make a breakthrough and will create many new rich investors just like doge and shiba last year. These are very controversial now, the NFTs and Metaverse project that has created hype.
But we should be careful because not all of them have the potential of making a profit, maybe it's a pure hype that possibly lures investors but there's no real product like a metaverse.

I still look forward to the high-volume coins which are on the top of the CMC because they are very hard to be manipulated the price.

I think it is not facebook that make metaverse popular but the term metaverse have started first here on cryptos and many saw a potential with it and eventually lots of metaverse projects coming out. Later on facebook joined the hype too and that is how they transform their brand.

Up until now there are still big companies that are joining the metaverse trend so definitely projects that are related to metaverse have a higher chance to succeed by this year or onwards. sandbox, decentraland, axie infitnity, these are only few of the metaverse that i know that are still hot even though new great projects have been added daily.

If the price of bitcoin goes down even further or it remains static then this is going to be a very difficult year for altcoins in general, we know that altcoins have a very high correlation with bitcoin so they imitate the movements of bitcoin very closely, however when the conditions in the market are negative then people just get out of the market or concentrate themselves on the most solid coins that we have, like bitcoin and ethereum, so until things improve I think you should concentrate on just protecting your capital or accumulating some of the top coins in the market instead of thinking about new projects that most likely will not perform as well as you expect.

apart from NFT and Metaverse, the issue that is much awaited this year is the ETH 2.0 upgrade.

Still can't be trusted as long as it hasn't been proven properly because every new thing that comes to NFT must really be explored very thoroughly so that the truth can be known accurately, but for this I personally still can't believe it.
