ethereum and ethereum i'd go all in honestly with the news of ETF it could be bright future for ethereum considering the blockchain itself have tendency of being used massively since the utility is just that good that sometime the transaction fee increase into astronomically high but there are also proposed solution.
I think the future is bright with ethereum, and its not a pump and dump coin either so i would definitely entrust my money in this coin for investment.
other than that I guess i'd invest in matic and polkadot too, since both of them are just as good as ethereum utility wise but underrated even though matic already having such high market capitalization if im being honest because total supply is quite high.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
What i am seeing is MakerDAO becoming one of the most recognized RWA projects in the industry. They are diversifying their portfolio with real world assets and have already invested in few projects that are trying to connect real world assets with the crypto industry by tokenizing them.
That's good if they're doing that actually. Investors are investing into a project that they can see what it has projected and it's happening in real life. If they are distributing like this and buying real world assets, that's just necessary for them if they have been into this niche as a project. Tokenizing assets and backing it up with the real one is a strong contender on this market where investors will find it interesting to get in.

MakerDAO is a veteran in the crypto industry and they have an experienced team. It will be wise to track what they are doing in terms of development.
Yeah, I'll start doing that because it seems that they're doing a good job on their development.

If we keep BTC and ETH aside then my choice will be projects that have a real use case throughout the industry like MakerDAO, LIDO finance and other projects that are fundamentally strong. These are really long term investment but for the next bull season my choice will be from Web3, AI, Decentralized social media etc
I am seeing MakerDao being more active in their development and hiring more people to get onto their community and I guess that's the part that they gets serious with more people getting on them.

1. SOL
2. ADA
3. ARB
4. ETH
5. DOT
6. KAS
Interesting list, SOL has been one of the coins that I have ignored for so long but looking at its gain now. I have people that are focused on it and that's what's entirely on their bag and happily sharing that they've gained that much. KAS is one of interested POW coin that people can still into it, looks like it hasn't got into any ATH as of the moment but just now based on its chart.

With that amount, I'd be extra cautious with everything, will do 50-50 in btc and ethereum and put it in hardware wallet, when it'd feel like market is significantly down and low chance for further dips, I'd convert some to stable coin and rebuy later.
Most people will spend 50% for Bitcoin and 50% for altcoins. Bitcoin must be the priority, it is the ideal asset for a long term holding. I believe everyone keeping Bitcoin as their main asset for the future. But how long they target to take profits, it can be varied. For altcoins, I assume we can choose some altcoins, not only Ethereum. It won't be a bad idea to diversify our funds on the some top altcoins such as BNB, ADA, SOL, MATIC, DOT, XLM, or TRX. Diversification is a good strategy in investment, right? And it is very unfortunate if we don't take advantage from some altcoins. We have many options, why don't to try taking advantage on them.  Smiley

with e million dollers, i would say 20% BTC, 15% eth, 2% memes, and 13% in 3 alt. 25% cash, 25 % gold
as you know brics will pump gold and i saw many people here opening gold store like crazy lol
I think OP is asking for Altcoins Only mate given that it was indicated in the title ?  so I guess GOLD and CASH isn't part of the choices .

and good to see that you are putting in Memecoins and Shitcoins ?

maybe better to add more for bitcoin than just putting in all you mentioned , and also have considered Binance and Ripple at least till next halving.

I think that is better to choose Bitcoin but I guess OP's pointing completely for altcoins mate?
There are people who cant really just able to understand on what OP is really that talking about but well you cant really be able to blame out people on sticking into something
which had already been established and was able to be trusted by the community on which it would really be just that normal that they would really be sticking into something which is really that been
trusted by the community for so long on which doing so will really be having that kind of less risks on losing your investment specially on long term but we know that there are really people
whom do really love on taking up some risks and this is where they do really consider out on trying out o touch up altcoins.
So if i do have that $1M then i would choose the ff;

1. SOL
2. ADA
3. ARB
4. ETH
5. DOT
6. KAS

Some might be a new gun into this market but those have that kind of potential on which there's a possibility that they could
climb out on higher ranking but of course nothing beats out into those old ones.

Not from the OP mentioned. Dot has huge token unlock events that can dump the price, NEAR is going to migrate into L2 through polygon ZK technology and about FLOW i don't know why anyone should buy it. The amount OP mentioned is great in number and only investing it in bitcoin and ETH can generate so much revenue that i don't need to risk this asset in other altcoins.

Correct mate , a million bucks? if given option I would rather invest in Bitcoin all and never to divide in altcoins but since we are in altcoin section then I will follow what you've said to invest 50% in Bitcoin and the net 50% will be in 5-8 different altcoins that would be for my entire life holding.
I may consider selling altcoins if ever there is a pump but will not my bitcoin as it will stay for how many more years like 2 halving more? so i may gather more than my half million investments.

I'd stick 90%+ into bitcoin and then toy around with a couple alts.  I'd stick a large majority of the remaining into polygon/matic.  The coin shoukd be primed for a nice move in price once the bull run is in full affect.  But don't get it wrong most of it should get put into bitcoin.

If I were to decide and advise OP ? i would choose like what you said to pur that 90%
instead in altcoin? that would be bitcoin because I have seen this kind of scenario many times that before anything else bitcoin
is the safest and the highest increasing currency in all bullrun.

What altcoin / altcoins would you choose and what would you invest your million in? Huh
With that kind of money I would obviously invest in Bitcoin and Eth.
Because the only coins that have successfully faced bearish and bullish are currently BTC and ETH.
In some bullish and bearish periods.
The coin can return to its original price, even exceeding the previous price.

If other coins go up, they can go really high, but once they're stuck for years they might not be picked up.
Seems like everyone is aiming for Bitcoin while OP clearly mentioned his asking for ALTCOIN ,
or maybe because majority of people here in bitcointalk are Bitcoin holder so blame no one but OP for asking this here .

actually bitcoin is not altcoin and OP is just asking about the Altcoin choices and aside from bitcoin that I believe he already had one.
Ethereum is a best option for long term  , but would be be careless to put all 1 million in Ethereum ? why not spread them to 5 different currencies like Binance , cardano , Litecoin Polygon and of course the last meme coin but can be manipulated in bullrun like dogecoin.

If i am to choose? of course I will be fore bitcoin mate , 90% is a perfect percentage but OP is asking for altcoin that we can decide for the coming bullrun.

Hi everyone!

We are all partly investors, we are trying to find the token that will bring us good x2x5x10... We will scatter our several thousand in different places with the hope of a good income. Feel free to manage your deposit, take into account risk management, etc.
But the situation is interesting, imagine that things are going well and at one point your deposit is $ 1,000,000.
What would you do and how would you behave? What altcoins would he invest in? Perhaps you would keep in stable positions while waiting for a great situation to enter the market?
What altcoin / altcoins would you choose and what would you invest your million in? Huh

I think the best option now, given the risk-to-return ratio, is:

$NEAR

$FLOW

$DOT

The market is in good condition now and we can expect some good pumping in the bitcoin as well as in other coins. Investing in NEAR would not be as good as DOT. In these 3 I would like to have an opinion about the DOT, as it is going well from the start. But in between it has a little down. My one friend bought DOT for about 300$ and he has held it for a long term to give him some benefit. Unfortunately, after holding it for too many months he sold his DOT in a loss and he was in loss even though he had a loss of 150$.
He now holds only 80$ which is also in loss but he still believes that it will also reach the position it was before. Now he is waiting for the right time to buy a little more.

None of those three altcoins that you mentioned. If i invest half million to buy btc and eth of its current price, then thats Enough. I can easily make more than a million from those 50% during next bull run (when half million is still in my hand). Even if i invest $1M$, I'll easily get 3M$ estimated from btc and eth. Then why should i risk my money for buying those shits? But if i need to make 6-8M$ estimated then I'll buy btc and eth with 30 percent of a million, will buy potential top coins with 40 percent and rest of 30% for memecoin and some underrated coins to change luck. If i fail, then no problem. My others 30% and 40% investment already give me a lot. Thats my plan

altcoin that I invest are,
1. BNB
2. XRP
3. ARPA
4. BLXM
5. COMBO

because I believe that by investing in this altcoin, then I will get a lot of profits in the long term and my target is to get at least a 5x profit from the capital that I have, so if I invest $1,000,000, then I will get a profit of at least $5,000,000.

such massive investment i would simply put 90% of it to bitcoin and the rest distributed evenly towards altcoins because honestly bitcoin is the more promising for the future.
the rest altcoin not so much because the landscape about all these altcoins always changing every bullrun therefore its always better to invest most in bitcoin.

-snip- imagine that things are going well and at one point your deposit is $ 1,000,000.
What would you do and how would you behave? What altcoins would he invest in?
I will prioritize to buy Bitcoin if I can deposit $1,000,000.
$700,000 for Bitcoin and $300,000 for Ethereum. I think these 2 coins are enough for my investment. I don't think to have another coins because I already invest in a huge amount of money. So, I will never choose the lower caps coins like DOT, NEAR, or FLOW. Why we must have more speculative coins if we can buy safer coins with good numbers? I only will consider lower cap coins if I invest in smaller amount of money.

$1M is simply a big amount to invest. If this is true, you can go diversify on the top 20 cryptocurrencies of coinmarketcap. For sure you'll get good returns as expected.
But not all top 20 coins in CMC are recommended for investment. It is better to exclude meme coins (Doge, SHIB) and stablecoins (USDT, USDC).

Recently I chatted with my best friend. We are talking about one of the altcoins owned by the same owner of the company OpenAI (ChatGPT). The altcoin is Worldcoin. My friend didn't advise me to buy the altcoin. But he told me to look at and research this altcoin. Because in my friend's opinion Worldcoin could be an altcoin that is growing quite rapidly or it could also fall quite drastically. The point is that it has a high risk but also has quite high potential. But my friend seems to have put a little of his money into altcoin investments in Worldcoin. But he said that we must be prepared to lose this money because the risk is quite high.
Personally, I'm still confused about whether I should buy it or not. Because after I found out who owned this altcoin, I thought that this would be a potential altcoin. But I still have doubts. Because seeing the large supply. And only a few are circulating. This can mean that the increase will not be too much when the circulating supply increases.

Have any of you researched the WLD altcoin?
if this is good. Maybe I'll include it in my list of investments in altcoins.
