I think the main risk in cryptocurrency market is that cryptos is not a money. You have an under-regulated market, too independent and so it has a lot of scams and criminals. But at the same time you can keep tokens in safe.

Here the question is not about risks, but about money. If you want to give up the money and go into crypto, this is one option. But if you are looking for profits, then now is a very risky time, both for buying and selling cryptocurrency.

Crypto currencies have a high risk. There is no guarantee that market participants will make a profit after an investment. The greatest risk for a participant, if he does not have much experience in cryptography, is very risky to invest significant amounts in the crypto market. The best will happen in cryptography, if a cryptographic insurance system appears at the global level.

What do you guys think are the real risks of cryptocurrencies and are there any ways of overcoming them? I've attached a good article below that covers a lot of the solutions to what people consider problematic at the moment, and it essentially says most of the risks are down to the user and not the technology (i.e. lack of education). Am interested to hear your opinions.

The interesting article: https://medium.com/@DDhopn/what-are-the-risks-of-buying-crypto-ff1c991a6c83

P.S. I am heavily involved in crypto, just keeping an open mind

To be honest, there are very few real risks. And the main risks-the loss of money only through their own fault. Do not blame the cryptocurrency market, it is not always to blame for your mistakes

We sometimes complicate things for ourselves, which is why we are the main actors behind this risks we see and get exposed to. Some have even done it to the extent that, they are not ready to learn from their mistakes, despite making a lot of it. One of which is embedded in our nature, which is the desire to acquire more and sometimes driven by greed and selfishness.

The major risk in cryptocurrency is volatility. If you are the type that invest casually, you may wake up one day and find out the value on your holdings are gone. Cryprocurrency investment require that you monitor the market constanly!

The real risks of crypto are the losing funds. There are so much newbies that are coming to this market with hope to gain good profits, but after several months they are left with nothing. It is rough but thats life. Hope these people would learn from their mistakes and would try to avoid them in the future.

The risk of Crypto are very simple. Crypto is not regulated, highly unpredictable and volatile. One can not really determine the action of Cryptocurrency per time and it can go hay wire within a second. When investing in it, just invest what you can afford to lose.

in my opinion the biggest risk in crypto is in hacking, when we experience it we will lose all the assets we have, and the solution is simple, which is how we work and how we take care of our devices.

Actually real risk in crypto is to loose the money which you have invested. It's all depends upon the market price levels or which project you are interested. You can loose or gain amount of money but you have to choose wisely.
Every place of investment will certainly be faced with risk, there is no one place of investment that will always give profit, if then I don't think it is a place of true investment. But someone can reduce the risk that will be faced, for instance he gets a news about the place of investment that will decrease and he decides to sell first or decide to keep holding until the price recovers.

The main risk will continue to be the same regardless of adoption. These surprisingly, are not related to the technology, but mainly about the way the users handle privacy and security issues, which usually means some regulation will need to be implemented. The moment it is regulated, its design premise fails… so it can no longer be open and decentralized.

For all times the biggest risk will be loosing money. Specially for people who think that this market is a gamen and gave money in bank like loans or from friends.

crypto's biggest risk is a decentralized trade where all people in the world gather together and buy and sell without arrangements from the government and other parties and this causes very fast price fluctuations and this is very risky for some new people in the market without being aware of the market change quickly

Decentralization is the advantage that some crypto-currencies have over centralized platforms. I don`t know what kind
of arrangements you are looking for. Remember what Satoshi Nakamoto wrote in his WP, it`s better to trust algorithm than
third-party service.
I don`t care for this drop, I`m still holding. I`m holding in good and especially in bad times, you need to rethink your
crypto-strategy if you are looking for government permission to do anything in your life.

I think that many people understand that nothing depends on me and on you, there are those who control all this and we just have to agree with them.

The real risk of crypto is holding the token without enough knowledge.
Like what is happening now if you dont have the right knowledge in this fall than you might be in depression now.
but if you are smart and thinking good, you are getting more profit on what is happening now.
real risk is the fall but if you will be good at the fall you will gain more for the future.

One risk is that the market is so fast at making changes. In a blink of an eye, the price drop at astonishing rate.
Scammers are one of the risk and the precaution measure is simple. NEVER TRUST ANYONE.
