Those who are experts in gambling would tell you that you're not guaranteed a 100% success rate no matter how skilled or how well you might
exactly what is a true gambler will say ,and those who claimed to be winning in highest form are just story teller or scammer .

cliam to have studied the game even though you're a sports Analyst or well informed in a particular sports, gambling has it risks and rewards and most times the risk is greater than the reward, I'll say it's on a ratio of 60:40 that's 60% loss compared to a 40% in winnings, most people newly introduced to sports betting have had several trials yielding losses before they attain jackpot, but it varies because some people are very lucky when it comes to gambling.
either both , 40% losing and 60% winning , the thing here is that there are big chances of losing .

About yesterday I came across a friend looking so depressed and sad and tried to interrogate with him then he said he felt like giving up in life and i asked why, he said he used about 80% of his savings to stake on a particular football game and lost, I felt so pity for him and had to encourage him with some advices.
lucky for you that you have someone to use an example for not to do what he mistakenly act.

Though I've had losses in gambling but I've never had such a sad one like he's, I was introduced to gambling by a coursemate in college who won a jackpot, thought I lost in my first three trials but played again and won about 80k in my local currency, there are people that's made millions through gambling and some others are yet to win but still find it difficult to quit, share your experience if you have any whether good or bad, cause I believe there are people here who would learn from it.
meaning you don't know gambling from younger than college?

Well, what attracted me to online gambling was because I was bored during the previous Covid pandemic and at the same time wanted to try my luck to add additional income from online. But after a few years of playing this, I realized that it is quite difficult to be able to get income from this and this is more for entertainment only. So right now I only play for entertainment and don't want to risk gambling my savings or investment because it's not worth it.
Yes, that's why during the Covid pandemic, many were at home, all schools, offices and entertainment venues were all closed, therefore many people felt bored at home, so that was the reason why at that time online casinos were very popular and got high traffic as well as players. active, but it's different when the pandemic status has been stopped by the government, gamblers are slowly starting to decrease.

There are only a few percent of gamblers who may still play seriously so they become addicts because they catch up and lost money during the pandemic, but gamblers who have controlled themselves will learn and think of gambling as just entertainment and not take it as something serious, let alone make gambling as a source of income.

I knew about gambling for a long time, but because I know how I can get attached to habits easily, I was able to stop myself from starting sports betting at a very early age. The very first time I gambled was on virtual football games, and having beginners luck, I won, but because I really just needed the money that evening for my expenses and what I had won was sufficient to sort it out, I did not gamble again that day, knowing I can loose it trying to get more. I was content with what I had won.

This is my first vivid memory of when I first gambled.

My father was a big gambler. Not a big gambler in the sense that he would blow his money, because he was incredibly intelligent and highly successful, he just enjoyed games of skill, but his main game was Black Jack. He must have read 10 blackjack books that I wound see laying around o it bookshelf. He taught me card games and I fell in love with a few of them,
My first encounter with the game of Blackjack was just a day before the COVID-19 virus ravaged the world. It happened to be my last paycheck before the company decided not to renew contracts due to the crisis triggered by the virus. At that time, I was still in the learning phase, acquainting myself with the mechanics of Blackjack. Before wagering with my own money, I was taught to understand the game.

With a basic grasp of the game, two friends and I began placing bets starting from a mere USD $0.1 in my country's currency. With such small stakes, the game stretched out, fostering a sense of camaraderie and friendship without any trace of animosity among us.

I got invited to a no limit texas holdem game at a friend of mine's shop. They played $1/$2 no limit 2 days a week usually Thursdays and Fridays. People would buy in for $40-$500 each normally and the game would last all night. Usually 10-12 hours of drinking and gambling. I guess I enjoyed meeting new people and the comradery that came along with the gambling. It was fun hanging out and very exciting if I ended up in a $300+ pot a few times a night.

I was motivated to wager when i had a lesser figure in my local account for my monthly upkeep... Then the idea came; I saw the possibility of winning,.and I certainly did. A particular gambler was calling out games without hesitations and everytime he did that, it came through for him...so I decided to bet on one of his games too, just immediately after my own analysis.
It turned out bad when I did the same act on a different day and I lost woefully.

I got persuaded by my colleagues because I noticed they always ends at the winning side in gambling, only for me to realized that it was never my bidding, I liquidated my bank accounts all because I got motivated and inspired each time I lost, they keep winning, but these winning doesn't come all the time. With time, I come to the realization that the earlier quit, I would be a freeman completely from debts and tense emotions. We're into gambling primarily for the reasons of lack of finances, we need sources that would generate these sources of us, and in a more faster way, not everyone have the patience to wait for salaries.

Should ambling have come with any guarantees, then we wouldn't have  got the trade no more. You wouldn't find gambling sites out there as, the sportsbook or house can't keep loosing.
Your in business to profit right? If there were any guarantees for gamblers, it would be at the expense of the platform offering the game and that'll be a lose for them.

I don't know how you get to add a win to lose ratio to it but I don't think it's any close to accuracy what you've speculated and I feel it should be way less for wins even.

That's one of the beauty of gambling: uncertainty. Pretty sure some of us here are gambling for the thrill and the uncertainty element in gambling. Plus, the chance that you can win big from something that provides you entertainment? Who wouldn't want to do that? And if you're already enjoying the sport, why not put something on the line and possibly win even more at the conclusion of the event?

I was introduced to gambling by a close friend who was a professional soccer player but later he left this industry due to losing more than he can afford to lose. That gambling mindset leads to poverty because of not controlling your emotions which can be bad for personal finance. I usually call myself an unlucky gambler, especially on casino slots but I guess it is how it works for the majority. We have to be careful during gambling hours and it is recommended to leave when it is winning time. Chasing loss gonna make the gambler broke person one day so better take this suggestion seriously. Just my 2 cents.

I was introduced to gambling by my co-worker. One man came to us while we were working and gave my colleague some numbers and told him that they were a sure bet. I was young and didn't know what those numbers were. My fellow worker thanked him with a smile and this stranger left. My colleague was so happy that he told me to stop working so that he can go to stake these games. When he told me how he would win if the game plays, I became very interested. I gave him the money for my lunch for him stake for me. He came back after a few minutes and gave me a slip instructing me to keep it safe. He also taught me how to check if we have won. The next day I went and checked and discovered that we lost the bet. I didn't feel too bad because the money I lost was for my lunch and I would have spent it if I didn't gamble with it.

So I'd say there are good and bad sides to gambling.

Everything  in life has its both good and bad and that also applies to gambling  and i guess your case is that of peer pressure through  their winnings. I've come to realize that gambling isn't just as easy and simple as ot of persons might think of it and rather than just trying lucks with gambling,  I will always advice people to take out their time to make some good predictions and strive every bet with a better hope of winning.

What attracted me  to gambling was the quest to make money from the comfort of my home and gamble came through during the covid and ever since then, ive always seen gambling  as a life saver depending  on how good and lucky you can be.

To be honest, my friends attracted me to start gambling. I had never gambled before but when I saw them participating in sports betting, I became excited to give it a try. Being a huge football fan I enjoyed predicting game results and other related things such as gambling on cards or corners in the games. That's when the idea of gambling crossed my mind. Surprisingly, I won my first bet and earned around $100. This initial success fueled my interest in gambling and I started gambling quite frequently. However, over time my gambling activities have reduced a lot and currently, I only gamble around two times a week or sometimes even just once a week.

First I was not that active with gambling until I start working in promoting casinos and for me to have first-hand experience I decide to always spare some percentage of my weekly earning to stake a few bets and enjoy some in-house games,  I don't do that at a regular basis but I have been relatively active I gambling all to the reason I mentioned above.

I am well aware of the risk associated with excessive gambling,  so even though I have weekly stipends I don't allow myself to get carried away so I set my gambling limits.

Environment is the common reason why people started gambling. Well, thinking about it now, it should be the only reason because no family(nurture) will raise their kids and teach them how to hit the jackpot. Our gambling story always starts from a friend, a colleague, an advert, a story etc. Like others, my own is no different. I started with sports betting, because the adverts from the sports betting company used a very famous footballer who I admired a lot.

Well, I said if he is there then, there is nothing wrong with it. I can win some money too. I lost some money on my first few bets but as I gained more experience in sports betting, my losses reduced, and my winnings increased but they weren't consistent. So, I switched to Casino. I have enjoyed every bit of it.

The influence of the people surrounded me when I was still at my teenage days, and in the neighborhood where I've grown up played a big part on how I've got into gambling.

And from there, I'd say that a lot of bad and good experiences and lessons have learned throughout the way. It's one of the best experiences that I've got because it made me a better person.

From being able to control myself and thinking of how much I should gamble and being responsible is there. It's all a process that not only me have learned on it for sure but many of us here too I guess.

The fun within the gambling game is the one that attracted me.  I have been exposed to gambling at a young age.  I see adults playing cards on the neigborhood and kids playing with cards and toys as a bet.  Some also play cara y cruz (toss coins) and they looks havig fun.  So when I got a chance, I tried to play with the kids in the neighborhood, and it was indeed fun playing with cards and toys as a bet.  Then as I grow up, toys being the bet where replaced by actual money.

Then when I get involved in cryptocurrency I am able to play in an online casino .  It was a good experience and bad at the same time.  Since it is good because it gives entertainment but bad when sometimes I am unable to manage my bankroll properly which ends up in depleting it faster than I anticipated.

It was funny when I read the part 'Interrogate' him, you asked him and he share his burden with you as a friend, though your friend made a big mistake by using money that is so important to his life for gambling. The reality of gambling is this, don't ever use money that is so important to you to wager any game, it doesn't worth it no matter the opportunity that you see in it, it doesn't end well, in short, there is no way you will enjoy gambling when you risk money you need very well because the more you try to relax not to think about it, there is this reoccurrence of reaction when you remember that your money is at stake, not a wise decision and I hope your friend learn his lesson.

If I'm to calculate my losses and profits in gambling, I will be among the lucky ones that I have earned a good amount of money from gambling and I'm happy to like it for fun and a way to kill time, especially in those boredom time, watching sport and realizing that your favorite is winning and your stake is going to win has a way it hit different, like that goosebump from spiderman, I can say no regret so far.  Grin
