As what i have observe the main causes why altcoin was down its value because the main coins which is bitcoin was down also.Second was many of inveators right now dumping their crypto coins earnings. is it time for us to buy altcoin?

1.Sometimes big whales want to get the prices low they sell heavily their investment demand decrease prices down.In this case they again buy at low rate to earn more profits.These are tactics employed by them.
2.There are regulations news,ban news when these news are at climax usually prices are down.
3.Govt and many other renowned businessmen give heavy money to social media to spread negative news to discourage crypto world.
4.Binance exchange was hacked and withing short span a large amount was withdrew.
One another point to ponder is that all of these coins are correlated with BTC,when BTC price goes up other alcoins also go up and vise versa.

My first reason is the price of altcoin depends on the price of bitcoin or ethereum,

I think the current dip is caused by two factors:
1. Binance API fail
2. MtGOX guy selling coins for 400M.
But the marker seems stable around 9K and alts seems to get a slight recover.
Make market go down?
Much of the money was lost when the binance was hacked. Approximately 20 billion dollars were stolen and the investors which didn't pull the funds in the proper time to their wallets are now begging for their rightly deserved money that is actually theirs. That situation has influenced a market very much.

Prices are low now only relative to the Dec/Jan high.
Most coins are still at what would be considered ATH as recently as early December.
Prices can't rise continually without some retracement. I think we need to look longer term.
