In my opinion, the price of Altcoin is down due to the impact of Bitcoin, altcoin follows the bitcoin price now the price is down. Altcoin automatically follows it. That's my opinion
The only reason is what happening to bitcoin. Whenever bitcoin price falls, altcoins prices fall too and altcoins price fall is usually bigger than bitcoin.
Yes, bitcoin really affects altcoin. If bitcoin price drops then altcoin price will definitely come down too. So that is an opportunity to get more bitcoin and altcoin, and you have to hold it. So when bitcoin price rises then altcoin will go up , then you will benefit greatly. 
I think the price of altcoin falls due to the falling bitcoin price, and the cause of this can happen, most likely is because the exchange of binance can be broken by hackers, and other issues about government banning bitcoin

I'm not really a pro into this but what I observe when the Bitcoin price drop most of the altcoins also drop. Maybe be bitcoin price really affect the altcoin price because you need to exchange your altcoins to ETH or BTC before you can convert into cash. There is no such exchange that change altcoins directly to USD. So maybe that's the reason.
indeed this time is inversely proportional to a few years ago where Bitcoin down altcoin rises but now different from it all when bitcoin down altcoin will go down, so I think Bitcoin could be the reason altcoin go down its value.
The reason why altcoins are going down because bitcoin is dipping very because the government in china and other nation wanted to minimize the bitcoin itself which it affects the prices itself and the alts. Just stay calm and sit tight this will be a bad month for us
Basing on bitcoin news bitcoin Falls downs due like it was due to government issues like the law base on how I understand the reason. Still I think its because of the peoeple who kind a loose interest in bitcoin and I think it is because of the issue that the news showed.

You can take advantage of the dip of altcoins by buying more to add to your portfolio and so that you have more chance of gaining profit the moment the market rises up. The market is currently in correction stage right now causing all coins to decrease.

if I think that causes the decline in altcoin value is due to the effect of bitcoin. because if the bitcoin again down the automatic altcoin will also follow-down and it's often the same with altcoin.

Lots of regulation battles on Bitcoin from several governments of late has made the coin famous in a negative way hence provoking lots of caution on its usage hence fall in price. fall in Price for BTC will definitely affect the price of altcoins, that's what is currently happening

I think the current dip is caused by two factors:
1. Binance API fail
2. MtGOX guy selling coins for 400M.
But the marker seems stable around 9K and alts seems to get a slight recover.
Make market go down?
There is no hack, it is a API bug, 31 binance accounts were hacked because of its owners' fault, and hacker used these accounts to control the price and make panic stuations.

It's really hard to know but I think all these dump is the result of bad news related to cryptocurrency like Binance exchange hacked few days ago, it also affected a lot to crypto price. But I think the main reason why altcoin price dump is still the whales
