I was thinking of dollars, euros, pounds mostly. I'm Canadian, so $1,000,000 to me is $1,000,000CAD. If you compare Canadian dollars for US Dollars someone with $1,000,000CAD wouldn't be a millionaire (as of right now). That's where I think the disconnect is in our community. Bitcoin is it's own currency. Own it. Some basic bitcoin terms need to me made!

Well, you are right... foolish fiat fans now calculate millionaires in US-Dollars... they should give up and subjugate under the new rising dark overlord BITCOIN. He already has the underworld in his hands, now he moves on to take over the banks... no one can resist his power. Bitcoin will define what a millionaire is. Or throw away that word totally. Tongue

I would rather call him a lucky guy, as it was his luck and also the risk that he took at initial stage that took him at this level a this particular time, a lucky guy with risk taking abilities.
I think if they get 1000 BTC on the outcome or reward gamble maybe we can call them as "lucky guy" because they are indeed very lucky. but never someone who wins more than 1000 BTC in gambling. so maybe they buy bitcoin. not a prize or something

They are just rich or an early miner. There is nothing else you can call them. They are most likely an early miner though.

"Early adopter" is a better word for it since it explains early miners and early investors alike, even if they were poor.

Can call him a early adopter of bitcoin, now it is very difficult to earn such a huge number of bitcoin. Sometimes he might have got all these bitcoins when the price was very low.

A young underweight tuna. But in all honesty I bet a lot of people here have that much or more. I would probably check my balance everyday if I had that much.

He will be the BTC King. But I think that cant happen. It is so much money and not every rich person has Bitcoin.

He doesn't need to be so rich to buy that amount of bitcoins. He only needs to be an early adopter who did not falls for the various scams that happened. Though that sonds very rare...

Someone with a million dollars, euros, pounds or pesos is a millionaire. No one (Okay maybe Satoshi) has a million Bitcoins and probably never will.

So what's someone with BTC1000 called? A thousandaire? There's got to be a better name. 'Bitcoin Whale' is just so meaningless and some people don't consider BTC1000 a whale anyways.

What should we call a Bitcoin thousandaire?

Actually I think if someone has a million yen, pesos or so doesn't matter much. Calling themselfes a millionaire would sound like betray since what they actually would have would own would be way less. Someone asking back would only be disappointed to hear that he is a yen millionaire. Which would be a embarrassing for the yen millionaire.

So normally all real millionairs are said to be dollar millionairs. Then everyone knows whats the value that person has really is worth.

So taking that into account then someone with 1000 Bitcoin is no millionaire yet... or anymore... maybe price will go back to $1000 in some time...

I was thinking of dollars, euros, pounds mostly. I'm Canadian, so $1,000,000 to me is $1,000,000CAD. Or may be bitlionaire lol..
OP must be right. A 1000 BTC holder must have a tag, like millionaire/billionaire, we don't know what we have to call a 100 or 1000 btc holders. We are in need some tags for big bitcoin holders.

Exactly. Who knows in 10 years where we'll be. Bitcoins could be worth $10 or $10,000. If we come up with names now they'll carry forward no matter what they'r worth.

a visionary with lot of money to invest in bitcoin, right now not a very rich person, but  who know what will happen...Wink

Of course we will call such person a multi millionaire or actually Bitcoinnaire who owns 1000BTC. Such lucky person must be the most profit earning person in Bit coins and can make his dreams come true. If I find him will become his friend.
