I don't participants any airdrop or bounty campaign need to pass the KYC, I think you are not the real investors in this project, why to share your personal information to this project, if you participants in the scam project, the sure to sell it in the back market.

It gives some form of security and assurance to ensure that scammers are extracted ad what belongs to the rightful owner id given so its good that some bounties do require for it i support it

It is another system for protecting our wallets. Every day people are thinking about how to hack and how to rob someone's wallet. I think it is necessary for the whole system to have different variants of protection.
But it is world government decide to do it.

The KYC procedure helps to avoid multi-account users in the bounty campaigns, which increases remuneration.

Hi.can someone tell me if KYC is ok ? what could be the effects of doing it especially in bounties/airdrops, they are requiring to pass KYC before joining

At the moment, KYC is a standard procedure to confirm the identity and there is nothing wrong. Many ICO projects require to go through this procedure and this is not a reason to abandon such bounty campaigns. In most cases, this procedure is rather a plus for hunters, thus eliminated bots.

KYC for verification of personal data on the exchange, might make sense
but for KYC to do an Airdrop campaign, it's the stupidest and most greedy decision, where everyone really wants money for free just by uploading their ID Card
nothing you get except only SCAM statements

I think KYC is meaningless. The only value of KYC is in the airdrop mission. Otherwise, KYC is a waste of time. The cryptocurrency supporters hate KYC. We need to win our identity instead of being exposed.

to me it gives me nightmares... I will not share my personal info for a handfull of tokens, especially if they do not share theirs (which happens most of times), and when it is required before the project, you still risk that the project is scam or failure... crazy datafarming times....
A lot of people go crazy on the idea that kyc is for your safety and will allow you to gain a handfull of tokens... well, tokens might never worth anything, project might fail, project might get abandoned, project might be scam.... and there are kyc documents for sale on the dark web (from participants on other crypto projects), so concerning legitimacy... it guarantees nothing....

For me, this is an indicator of the legitimacy of the company and its goals. If in 2018 the ICO does not require you to have a KIS, then you should think about whether this is a good project and could you stumble upon scammers.

The most Bounty campaigns require the participants to go through KYC procedure in order either in order to meet the government compilance or to decrease the amount of multiaccounts.

The main purpose of KYC is to prevent bounty fraudsters from participating in the project, but KYC does not help hunters and may even reveal our privacy.

At the moment, KYC for bounty hunters and people involved in airdrops is a headache, because we do not know to whom our data is transferred, whether the project is really working or it is another Scam and so on.

If I am confident in this campaign, I will provide the documents, otherwise I will not be able to get the earned tokens.

So far, like the Airdrop channel, I haven't joined a long time ago. And indeed there are several signature campaign projects that use KYC. And I think this KYC doesn't give us good results, because some of the projects I follow use KYC and until now I have not received payment.

I really do not like the fact that some projects require personal data. It seems to me that this is contrary to the principles of cryptocurrency in general.

Kyc simply means know your customer and it is a way of knowing more about investors in an ICO. These days even bounties and airdrops also do kyc

KYC is mandatory for some projects, but not all. Although, i feel every project should call for kyc, but the problem is that they are not all genuine. Some of them are real scam and i cannot advise anyone to give out his personal details to a scam team in the name of kyc. Meanwhile, i have seen several of them and that is why it us always important to know those you are giving your details to.
Well, therefore I am very selective in choosing projects. I will only do KYc if the progress of the project is good and reliable. I also only use secondary data for Kyc, for example, drivers, I would avoid that if I had to do Kyc using a personal ID or passport. In order to create mutual trust, it seems that there must be binding regulations regarding this, for example, a written agreement that the data provided by users will be stored safely and not misused.

Kyc entails releasing your personal information to developers to participate in their projects. It is a statutory requirement but them, some are just scam. So be careful to not do kyc with people that will sell your information to fruadsters

KYC is a procedure for verifying your customers. For you, it will not be useful, on the contrary, you risk, sending your documents is not clear where.
Let's be honest, you don’t really understand exactly where you are sending your documents, but according to the law, they simply cannot do anything with your copy, because it’s just a copy and your presence is simply not there.
