But if I understood everything correctly the London update is not supposed to improve scalability. I think that is what most people are waiting for, low transaction fees. That is supposed to be done with the next update, but that one will be far in the future. As far as I know Vitalik Buterin said that is not going to happen before late 2022. As he is conservative usually with his deadlines, I hope an update that improves scalability will come even earlier.

The only thing that is different about cryptocurrencies is the speed at which up and down movements take place. Though we have seen crises before where markets crashed at insane speed, like the dotcom bubble for example.

True, my portofolio is dominated by ETH too and i so believe with the future of this coin. In the near future there will be more big company to addopted ETH to being part for hes network and i predict ETH price will be rise very high within the next 3 years.
This is of course different from me who always stock BTC and BNB, because I prefer and believe in both coins, besides BTC and BNB also have almost the same potential as ETH so they can always be in a good position and not far from ETH.

It is the second fundamental currency after Bitcoin. And to my mind it is even likely to replace it one day, as unlike bitcoin Ethereum is developing all the time. A lot of defi projects appear there, and now we all wait for the launch of Ethereum 2.0. Developers try to improve their product and it is noticeable and very valuable.
We can be certain that Vitalik Buterin is working extremely hard behind the scenes and as we know him from the past he isn't rolling any updates out that are not 100% secure. That might take a little bit longer every now and then than other projects do it, but for a project of the scale of Ethereum it is the exact right thing to do. Caution is required and precision and that is what Vitalik stands for.

Maybe that means Ethereum has to go back to high prices with very low transaction fees, because if you want to go back to low prices with high transaction fees, I think that is a very silly wish.
Lots of good news coming for this coin and for sure there are specualtors and supporters who already bought their
bag holds to make sure that they won't be left behind, many up and down coming from the current market but for
people who understand and continue believing this project, today's dip is the best opportunities to collect and save

Thread was created in 2018, when ETH was around $150 I suppose OP was just hoping Ethereum price bounced back to ATH at the boom time when it was $1500, because in 2018 we there was a big crash. I think that was the OP's hope and if he's still here then that's exactly it.remember that is the ATH year of Ethereum before this year comes.

It managed to prove to us that it is not going to die. Too many people were worried about its future. Ethereum is still the best altcoin, the cryptocurrency with the greatest potential.
There is no doubt that ethereum is the best profitable coin, if you look at the current marketcap data the difference with bitcoin is getting closer, I believe it will soon be ranked #1 so holding ethereum for the long term is my best advice.

Do you realized that you are asking in thread that 3 years old? back when this was created the transaction fee of ethereum did not even experienced what it did this year when the fee climb up like what Bitcoin does.OP is asking about when will Ethereum climb back again because that same year Ethereum made the ATH of 15 hundred dollars so he was looking when this will be taken back again.
