If bitcoin begins to go up in value then it is possible that some of the most popular altcoins will grow a lot as well but it is also entirely possible that we see something similar to what happened during this year, in which most altcoins grew up in value against the dollar but when it came to bitcoin their value went down
hahaa ... there won't be a story if Bitcoin goes up to $100K then Altcoin will dump to zero, that makes no sense. because the last few years I've seen Alt all right, there are even some Alts still able to maintain the price even though at this time Bitcoin is moving dump and pump. at the moment I think buying atlcoin is a good idea, because if Bitcoin really rises to its highest peak I'm sure Altcoin pair USD will definitely follow it.
Will this be possible: bitcoin reaching $100,000? I think we actually needs to convince the world to adopt cryptocurrencies and bitcoin in particular. By looking at what is happening now we can said that a lot of manipulations are going on and we just need to watch and see what happens next.

If that eventually happens i don't think alts will gonna die because first of all the money is there and so the altcoin will start to surge and make its own ATH just like way back 2017 most of them will perform in the sense that when the people are tired hoarding on bitcoin they will transfer into altcoins and to make some profits there. I'm sure a few people will take whatever profits they make and invest in other coins. However, the majority of people will be investing in just Bitcoin. Just the news stations reporting that Bitcoin has hit a new all time high of $100,000 will probably bring in thousands of new people who have never even heard of Bitcoin or crypto. It will be all about Bitcoin if it were to hit $100k. Alts will go up a bit, but Bitcoin will remain king and it's all people will be talking about.

Today I was thinking that if Bitcoin has another 2017, all alts will also go up. Maybe not the same as Bitcoin, but a good chunk. It gives me hope for the alts that I'm currently holding.
It depends entirely on what kind of altcoins you are holding, if you are holding some of the top altcoins in the market then you are right you are going to make money in the future but if you are holding altcoins that are not really that good and you have high hopes for them then I can say to you that most likely those coins are not going to go up in value. The value of most of those coins is based on nothing but hype and hype is something reserved for the newest coins so by the time that the bull market appears if your coins are too old then no one is going to care about them.

They created the demand for it in super easy and convenient way. They have huge volume and this volume is using BNB to pay fees... brilliant

If bitcoin goes so high that it reaches 100k then we could see traders and investors being a lot more comfortable taking risks since at that point they could make huge mistakes and they could still make huge profits even if they lost some money investing in altcoins.then it will dump and alts will dump too

But I doubt that many of the coins that are just starting out are going to go as high as some believe, even at that point people are not going to be comfortable investing in such coins knowing their chances of getting profits are not high at all.
It may seem impossible for the binance coin to become irrelevant but we have seen in the past exchanges that were the leaders of the market make mistakes and losing almost all of their popularity in an instant.
If btc reaches 100k look for alts with projects that help newbies in education and crypto trading. Those will explode.
Yes, most of the market will start increasing their price and even the market cap will increase hugely. 100K is really dream for the Bitcoin holders to increase their prices, which will help them to increase the altcoin price hugely.
If BTC manages to reach 100k then altcoins will also join the party and will see there ATH. The crypto market is dominated by bitcoin and prices of altcoins are directly linked with the price of bitcoins. Altcoins right now are not in a position to drive the market. So my guess is if BTC reaches 100k then altcoins will also be on the moon.
Not really, I hope you have know sometimes ago bitcoin price has increased to $13000 from the lower price $3500 but did you see the movement price of altcoins? Almost all altcoin didn't follow bitcoin price event some of them just decreased. So, I take a conclusion for this condition that for those who says altcoins price are depend on bitcoin price movement is really wrong at the end.
