Be ready and aware that 2018 is the year of regulatory reckoning. Countries around the world are trying to determine how they are going to treat cryptocurrencies. Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) has halted several ICOs and hinted at the need for greater crypto regulation.

I am into cryptocurrency because of freedom, I can't deny to myself that I have worries regarding this issue. And as an investor, I really have no choice but to stay with crypto once the governments around the world have control to cryptocurrencies (if that became possible).

So as much as we can, also invest with physical properties with what you've earned. For we don't know what will happen next with our money in the digital world.

This is not an advice. It's simply a shared idea.

How about you? What do you have in mind? Undecided

Well! that might hapen but that cannot stop Bitcoin because the regulations are made to keep it safe (that's to their knowledge) and so I don't think they can kill Bitcoin. The fact is that they can really fluctuate markets with even just public messages without them taking the actions and that's what we experienced this year

The measures required for this bitcoin ban in a free society can be marked as too intrusive and unacceptable by the population. A complete ban on Bitcoin can be unacceptable for most modern democratic states.

It's no longer possible. The technology received great resonance and great development. To completely disable crypto they need to ban the Internet)

That can not happen, because bitcoin is currently using a lot and many support bitcoin. Even some developing countries have started receiving bitcoin. So the government will not be able to win against more people support bitcoin.

Bitcoin will always go into all-time highs, the government, will succeed as an underground asset. And I will remain an investor. we have to use crypto as crypto so there is no tax for it and no need to worry about it.
Recently Germany announced no taxes if you use crypto.

Bitcoin is a decentralized currency. What this means is that no single party controls bitcoin meaning even if the governments ban bitcoin there are going to be nodes running and miners mining bitcoin all over the world and theres going to be at least one country who will be crypto friendly.

best post

if you are living in a "democratic" country like US or Europe, they won't cause they would need to tell u why.. Maybe because of they re not democratic?! Cheesy

Bitcoin is still decentralized in nature which means that no government is able to control the Bitcoin transactions but if Government wins over Bitcoin all the BTC transactions will be tracked and all the people involved in the transactions will be identified.Government will either declare it as legal or it will declared as illegal. If government will declare it as illegal then BTC transactions in that particular country will be stopped and people will have no way to change BTC into their respective currency. If government declared it as legal then some regulations will be imposed on it. Bitcoin transactions will not be anonymous anymore and they will be taxed also. Not so many fluctuations will be seen in the price and Bitcoin will not be known for it's volatility. Their will be a decrease in the number of Bitcoin users.

If that all happened, for me it was very painful because bitcoin was the only source of my money-seekers. With bitcoin my life changed for the better. I think the government will not be able to stop it because bitcoin many use it and many that support bitcoin.

Buy, sell and store real cryptocurrencies
It will never happen. They can't win over bitcoins. Its not in under control. You know the bill gates statement ? Bill said " Bitcoin is unstoppable " which cleared that there's no power who can wins over it. Main problem is banning bitcoin sites like wallets and so ICO which gives ability to invest our coin and increase  there value by selling coins later at exchanges .Chinese government tried their best to stop bitcoin but fail at the end, but they still manage to ban the use of ICO.

Yep, absolutely it never occurs. It is really clear that bitcoin is developed as if the advanced techonology. Most importantly, these days, people almost can not live without internet, thus it leads bitcoin to  be more developed, even its demand will be high in most parts of the world. Honestly, the development speed of bitcoin is really quick, that is one of the reasons why most of governments try to prevent people from using it. In anyway, they will never stop the development of bitcoin.

All governments can no longer beat bitcoin, because some of them have already appreciated its advantages and accepted it as a means of payment. The prohibition of crypto currency can only be in individual countries. However, the state will not be able to fully control the implementation of its ban, the Internet should be banned for this. If the government decides this, it is likely that the people will go out and the government will be forced to resign. Therefore, such stupid acts it will not perform. Many states have tried to regulate bitcoin, but all of them were forced to abandon such a decision and recognized that bitcoin can not be regulated in its main issues of functioning.

Blockchain is a decentralized system which means even if the government has high funds, they are not strong enough to regulate the cryptocurrencies in which the largest community is bitcoin.

First of all,  I think the government will not stop bitcoin which is good and using bitcoin under the government is kinda good also because there is someone who will take any responsible, but if the government has their own rules which is really make detrimental for all the bitcoiners I think no one will interest anymore for bitcoin.

Hmm. History teaches us that mankind can`t live without government. There always have been those who rule and those who obey - since the very beginning of humanity. But bitcoins can ease transactions and make traditional sectors work faster and what is the most important from my point of view is that they can eliminate or wash away many specialists in certain areas of economics and thus multiply the number of unemployed people.

I think if the Government is successful and wins the master and control the movement of the price of the bitcoin it looks like prices will be in use for bitcoin game prices, but I think the Government will not be able to control the bitcoin.
